We had a different company install a new patio in our backyard. As a part of the installation they moved our sump pump drain line, relocating it to the side of the house with a pop-up drain. The line had originally run out of our yard and connected to a common neighborhood line that discharged into a pond. During the patio installation the exact location of the common line was lost. After the patio was completed it soon became apparent that the pop-up drain solution would not work, as so much water was coming from the drain that we were creating a swamp beside our house. I called out six different companies to give us ideas and estimates to fix the problem and received six different solutions with prices up to $2000.00. We dug a trench around the patio to try to find the old common line but were unsuccessful. John came out and gave us price of $700.00 to run a new line to the pond. After several weeks of work we got the required permits to run a new line to the pond and John came out to do the job. After talking about the old line we decided to try one more time to find and reconnect to it, as this was a much preferable solution to the problem. John spent a couple of hours digging with a trenching machine and then down in the trench by hand and just as were were about to give up found the line. He then installed a new line from our house to the common line. This solved the problem of the swamp beside the house and all the concerns about running a new line to the pond. John went above and beyond what was expected to find the old line and offered advice and information about what type of pipe to use for the new line as we had been given a lot of conflicting information from the other contractors we called for estimates. He did a good job of replacing the dirt from all of the trenching and left the yard in as good of condition a possible. Despite the work looking for the old line he did the job for the originally agreed upon price of $700.00. John was very friendly and easy to work with and I would certainly recommend him and call him again.

John was very responsive to the initial request and told me he would be there the next day after 3:00pm. He called that next morning to confirm he would be there. He showed up right when he said he would. He was polite, personable, and professional. We will definitely use his services again.

We were experiencing bad weather, so John kept me informed as to when he would be able to do the work. His quote was a little below what I was expecting and the work was far above what I was expecting. He arrived exactly when he said he would come, did all of the work he said he would do (and more). and cleaned the site better than when he first arrived. John was helpful, courteous and professional. The result was a crisp, stellar turn-around that far exceeded what I expected. He did a fabulous job! I will recommend him to all my friends and certainly call him for my future work.

It was a great experience. I called him in the morning and he quickly called back to set up an appointment for that afternoon. He called to let me know when he was on the way, and showed up exactly when he said he would. It took John Schott about 10 minutes to remove the junk pile. He was an extremely nice guy and we chatted a bit while he worked. He also does landscaping so I plan to hire him in the spring for rototilling, mulching, etc.

I called Schott based on their positive reviews on Angie's List and their $89 promotional offer and I am glad I did. Schott was responsive, on-time, and worked quickly to haul quite a bit of debris/junk from my garage.The materials to be hauled away were scattered among several piles and the workers asked to be sure they got everything before leaving.

Emailed last week for an estimate of hauling some stuf out of our basement. I received a email repsonse within a couple of hours. John called my husband and arranged a date to come out and haul away our stuff. On the day of service he was running a little behind and called to let us know and make sure the delay would not disrupt our day. He was very professional and quick. Had everything out and loaded within a half hour. We felt the price was reasonable. I would definitely use him again.

He does excellent work. He is a fine person. He is punctual, clean and efficient—just the sort of person you are comfortable having in your home.

I called and left message for John. He called back a few minutes later. He quoted me a price based on what I told him I had to haul away. He said he could do it in the next 2 days and would call when he knew the time and day. John called the next day and said he could come in 30 minutes. He arrived on time and was very courteous. He worked quickly and left the area very clean. Final price was exactly what he quoted. Excellent experience!

Had a little trouble getting a date scheduled, but John did a good job when he got here. He was able to get a couple out which had a fence post embedded in them. We did not know if he would be able to get them out. We would certainly call him again.

I bought 2 of this companies $99 deals, each for 2 hours of yard services. John did a good job of contacting me and scheduling the appointment. He was very proactive. In the 4 hours that John was at my house, he was able to grind up 12-15 stumps. He called me a couple times that morning with questions. He did a good job, and I was happy with the amount of progress that he made. The remaining stumps are in my backyard and aren't a big deal to me.

Schott workers were very professional and polite. They racked up the leafs, cleaned up and were gone. We were very pleased.

John came out to provide a free estimate for the work we wanted to get done. We needed to get a tree removed because its roots were growing across the surface of our lawn toward a sidewalk and our house. After cutting the tree down, John used a chipper to chew the roots up so that the ground can be leveled and landscaped again. In addition, on the advice of my better half, I "shaped" a different tree a couple years ago -- and as it has grown, it looked more like Gumby each day. John reshaped that tree, which allowed us to save it. Finally, from the property's previous owner, we inherited way too many bushes planted too close to the house and deck. To allow us to update our landscaping, John pulled out the shrubs all the way around the house and finished the job by digging out the roots. We look forward to working with John on additional landscaping projects as we redesign our yard.

Schott Services were able to come out at an earlier date than expected. The quality of the work was excellent and he was well ahead of schedule. I would definitely use them again!
