Scenic Green

Very neat and well done. I wasn't home at the time and was very pleased when I saw what they did.

So I asked if I could get a quote for yard mowing but they said they were all booked. At that point I decided to cut my loses and ask for a refund.

I was very pleased with the level of detail and hard work of the 2 young men who cleaned my yard. I live in a heavily wooded area and the limbs small and large from last winter were significant. They worked very hard raking, blowing and picking up the leaves and limbs. I watched them walk though after I thought they were done and they picked up other smaller pieces of limbs that had been missed by the rakes and blowers.

We used Scenic Green and Brian last year after initially purchasing an Angie's List Big Deal. Brian was prompt, meticulous and paid attention to detail. Beds were cleanly edged and our landscaping looked beautiful. LAST YEAR's work was exceptional. Based upon LAST YEAR's experience, we called Brian again to perform same work as last in preparation of our listing our home for sale. While he was prompt in doing the work, the quality of their work this year was dramatically different and inferior than last year. The beds were NOT edged despite his representations that they were edged. Furthermore, the mulch installation, despite his representations that the work was done to the same standards as last year's work, was inconsistent and thinly installed. At nearly $88 per yard installed (extremely overpriced for this market), I expected high quality workmanship. I share in the blame as I should have done more homework before using his services again. However, based upon my prior experience, I trusted the that the work would be done in a quality manner. Unfortunately, it is not what we received.I called Brian to discuss the quality and the price and he offered no resolution. I am extremely disappointed with this experience. Brian seems like a nice guy and I thought, based upon my prior experience, that I had finally found someone to whom I could refer others. I am sorry to have to share a negative experience, but I no longer would feel comfortable recommending his services. I hope Brian learns from this experience and returns his services to the quality that most have come to expect.

They were very good communicating with me their schedule. They arrived on time, completed promptly. The workers were friendly and respectful. They did not leave any mess at all ! My yards look marvelous. Call them you will not be disappointed.

The work was outstanding, but was I was not impressed with the contractor. The work was timely.

Excellent. The debris I had accumulated for removal was located in my back yard and they made sure not to damage my yard at all when they drove their truck back there.

We cannot recommend Brian Jones of Scenic Green. While he did give us some helpful advice on caring for our new plantings, his work and business practices did not measure up even to his own stated standards. He gave us a reasonable estimate for the work above, and we asked him to go ahead. Since one of our aims was to learn how to care for some of the plants ourselves next year, an idea he had seemed open to at our first meeting, I said that my husband would like to watch. He led us to believe he would be doing the work. The first date Brian proposed did not work for us, but I said any other day that week we would be home. He emailed back saying he would be getting in touch with us about an alternative date. OVER THREE WEEKS PASSED WITH NO WORD. Finally, I sent an email saying we wondered when he was thinking of coming out to do the work requested. He proposed sending out two of his employees (without his supervision) the next day, a time, as it happened, when my husband would be gone. Again we offered lots of alternative dates, but he seemed reluctant to "cancel" this time we had not agreed to. He said that my husband should be able to learn how to trim roses from the cuts his employees made on the stems. (In other emails he told us that placement of the cuts was "key"--they were to be made above the buds at the desired length.) We went ahead with his plan. The employees did the work in our absence. Afterwards, it seemed to us the work was sloppily done. Cuts on the stems appeared to be placed at various distances from the bud, many brown stems remained that sure looked dead, and one garden bed seemed to have been missed when they applied the pre-emergent and fertilizer. I emailed Brian about these concerns and asked him to come out so we could show him what we were questioning. He came out around 6:00 at the end of a work day. Very quickly he took offense, saying that we were being too picky. He would have to charge hundreds of dollars to trim every stem near the bud. (Then why did he say this was key?) I asked him why we didn't hear from him for over three weeks, and he said he was waiting to hear from us. I reminded him that's not what he had promised in his email, and he took offense again, saying he couldn't keep track of everything in his emails! (Obviously, a good businessman doesn't say he'll do something and then renege.) He added that we were keeping him from time with his family. (We were willing to meet during the work day.) And he thought we should find a different landscaper. He did say he would drop the charge for the trimming of the roses, but we paid in full anyway. In summary, there was a big gap between what Brian said and what actually happened. The company seemed more interested in hurrying through than doing a careful job. And we were not given the consideration that any customer is due.

I have had some issues with mulching companies in the past, but decided to try Scenic Green this year. I could not be more pleased. Brian was very responsive and kept me informed of his progress in getting to my project. When the day arrived to mulch, Brian called me in the morning to give me an expected time frame, and told me who would be showing up. True to his word, Brian's team showed up on time, and introduced themselves and had the project completed in no time. The team was professional, worked quickly, and when they were done, swept the driveway, walk, and deck so there was no evidence that they were even here other than a nicely laid mulch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Brian and his team and will use them from this point forward.

Great and frequent communication prior to the service, much appreciated. Vendor had to reschedule due to rainy weather and communicated this in a timely manner. Did a good job picking up the yard of leaves. I did mention prior to work that if there was time, they could remove the debris collected in the street curb too, but that was not done. Not sure if not enough time was left for that (it was a deal for 2 hrs of work) or if it was just overlooked. Overall, satisfied with the experience and vendor.

Brian and his workers showed up on time. He and his workers were very personable and went to work right away. They did a thorough job of preparing the beds and an excellent job of spreading the mulch and cleaning up after the job was completed. I would definitely recommend this Company.

We have used Brian on several occasions. He is very honest and straightforward and he does not try to oversell you on things you do not need. He is very professional, punctual and diligent. Great communication. His follow up was great. Will definitely use him again.

Provided fertilizer/weed control for yard. Scenic Green has maintained our yard for several years and our lawn looks great! If we have any questions concerning our lawn, Scenic Green is always available and gives us good advice.

Brian was prompt in calling and scheduling the leaf removal. He worked the scheduling around the holiday and inclement weather. I couldn't be happier with the job he performed. I would use his services again without hesitation.

The work was done by the owner, Brian Jones, and his crew who were courteous, friendly, and did the work in a timely manner. They are excellent workers and do a quality job. The leaf removal was difficult because of all the rain we have experienced, but you would never know it when viewing the finished project. All leaves were removed and the lawn was clean and clear of all debris when finished. I have used this company before for yard work and will use them again in the future.
