RICK MAYFIELD PAINTING

This was the second time we have used Rick and just like the first time, he did a great job. He showed up when he said he would, completed the work in a very timely manner and did very good quality work. We are going to have him back for a third job this fall to paint a bedroom. We highly recommend Rick.

I received a quote for painting and pressure washing my back deck. Although I did not use this company, the process was smooth, and efficient. I called left a message for a quote, and received an immediate call back. I am waiting on a few other quotes, from other companies and will then hire someone. I would certainly reach to this company again in the future for quotes on service.

Rick came over the same day I called him because of my time constraints. He gave me a quote, I bought and picked up the sealant, and he put on the two coats the same day. He also painted the block foundation after going to pick up that paint himself. All this in the sun on a 90 degree day. He was very particular in keeping paint off the grass and in carrying away all the old paint chips he scraped off the foundation. I was particularly impressed to see him actually read the paint can instructions (who does that?) so he could properly dilute the sealant to deal with the hot weather. The paint edges are perfect--absolutely no paint where it shouldn't be. The whole job looks great and it was the quickest response I ever got from any contractor.

I contacted Rick Mayfield for a quote on painting the exterior trim of my home, after reading the exceptional reviews on Angie's List and he lived up to every one. Starting with the estimate. He returned my call within one day and made arrangments to come to my home that same day. As we walked around the house, he pointed out the things he felt needed painting in addidtion to the trim. Things I had not thought of. He was very knowledgeable and quality conscious and I appreciated his old school thought process of "do it right the first time and do it well.". He started the job the following week. He did all he promised and more (also cleaned out the gutters), in a timely manner and within the original quote. I would highly recommend this craftsman to anyone looking for this type of service and would not hesitate to use his services again. It went great. Rick is very reliable. Great work on the painting communicating everything with us. He was patient as we made the various color decisions, often more than once! The final result was a great looking house! And he was very reasonable on price.

Rick is a true professional. He was quick to provide an estimate and gave me advice on different solutions for repairs to my exterior carpentry at different price levels to accomodate me. No other estimate was as thoughtful or provided me with options such as Rick did. He comes to the house when he says he will, does his job, protects all plants and outdoor furniture from paint, and cleans up without as much as a hint of his being at my home except the wonderful job he's done. I would recommend Rick to anyone needing a paint job done without reservation! I will use him in the future for all my painting needs and have already recommended him to three friends. Rick does not plaster his truck with Angie's List decals because he doesn't have to. His work says it all!

We contacted Rick to get an estimate for painting the shutters on the front of our house, the wood trim around two doors and the garage, and stain our deck. Rick came out and provided us with the estimate. We did obtain other estimates, and Rick's price was approximately half of other companies. We told Rick we just needed a call the night before he would be there so we could move furniture and plants out of his way as we were not on a set time frame for completing the project. Rick called on a Monday evening, confirmed the stain brand and color since we wanted to keep the same thing we had used previously, and showed up on Tuesday morning. He painted the shutters, powerwashed the deck, and removed a few areas containing mildew. Afterwards, he cleaned up everything and finished the entire job in two days. Everything looks fantastic. We did go back and touch up a few areas on the deck between the edges of the boards, but we're kind of picky. Other than that, the job looked awesome.

Rick arrived at approximately 9:00 am and stayed late everyday until he had finished all three rooms.

Rick was punctual and professional starting with the estimate and until the job was completed. He did very good work and it was important to him that we were happy with the work. I would recommend him for any painting job.

He showed up when he said he would. He was very friendly. He finished a little ahead of time. He offered to come out the next day to touch anything up if it needed it. He was very skilled and he did the job quite nicely. The price was probably a little high.

Rick arrived right on schedule. He spent the first day removing all the old wallpaper, which he did very well. I was concerned about this phase of the job, knowing how difficult this can be. He knows what he is doing, as he did a great job.The next day he applied any needed patch work and then primed the areas for painting. The third day he performed all the needed painting. It was great! The job was completed in three days. And done to perfection! Rick is a one man operation, which I liked because he dosen't have to worry about the quality of work "hired" help would provide. He is all about doing the job right. It showed in the work he did for us. He was very concerned with keeping everything clean and no big mess. To top it off, just before he left, he helped me move the furniture back into place. I highly recommend Rick Mayfield for your painting needs. In fact, we've already arranged to have him come back this summer to perform the same job on one of our bathrooms.

Rick provided me an estimate late fall last year, but as luck had it, the weather turned before he could schedule me in. Rick was true to his word and called me last week to let me know he would be out to paint. He showed up, was incredibly professional and did an outstanding job. The neighbors even commented on what an outstanding job he did. Very impressive and would highly recommend Rick to anyone.

Rick completed the job per his estimate and within 2 days. His work is very neat and professional. I have already recommended him to family members and will be scheduling an estimate for interior painting later this summer.

Rick was very professional in all that he did. His work was on time and at budget. He even cleaned up the wood work in the bedrooms where I had dripped paint when I attempted to paint those rooms years ago.

Rick had to work with the schedule of the window contractor to ensure he was finished with his part before install and then coordinate to come back after install. Rick was very pleasant and easy to work with schedule-wise. Rick was dependable in showing up when he said he would and doing exactly what needed done. Rick's work was very good and he left no mess behind. Rick is pleasant, friendly and trustworthy.

Rick did a very professional painting job, being exceptionally neat and tidy. He did not bring in any subs to do the work, but did it all himself in a timely and careful manner. What we especially appreciated was his clean-up afterward, leaving nothing for the homeowner to clean or fix up. We highly recommend his company.

After hiring Rick to paint my detached garage and doing such a great job I hired him back to paint my basement one week later. Rick is a total professional and goes way beyond my expectations. The concrete block basement walls had spots of mold and the block also had some efflorescing taking place along with paint chipping. Rick removed the mold and efflorescing, scraped chipping paint, sealed the concrete block and painted the walls. His attention to detail would make any homeowner proud. Rick will be hired again when it comes time for more painting projects.

I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Rick really knows what he is doing and he is extremely hard working and professional. I thought that he would be painting all week but he was able to get everything done in 2 days. I sincerely wish that I had taken before and after photos because the difference is remarkable. My doors look like they are brand new. I will definitely be asking Rick to work on future projects.

Rick was called for an estimate on painting a concrete block garage which he promptly arrived for the scheduled appointment. After receiving the estimate we agreed on when the job should be started and hopefull finished. Rick arrived on time and did an outstanding job, even doing some extra caulking around the door and fixing some door weather stripping. He is very professional and the quality of his work is excellent. I will be using his services again.

The job could not have gone better. It took him 4-5 days to return my phone, but I understood I was calling during his busy season. He came out initially to scope out the project and asked a lot of questions. After he came out for the estimate he was ready to complete the project two days later. I was not home for the majority of the time he was here doing the work. He was able to move all of my heavy furniture off and back on all by himself. There were no spills or drips, which tell me he was careful and paid attention to detail. Payment did not seem like a big issue with him. He told me I could send him a check or we would be in touch about the payment. He followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the work. I can’t wait to have my first deck party! I would absolutely use him again for any exterior or interior paining needs and I would highly recommend him to others!!
