RICK MAYFIELD PAINTING

He painted my kitchen ceiling and a wall in my master bedroom. He did a good job. His work was very professional. He matched up my color in my master bedroom. I would definitely hire him again. He cleaned up after himself.

The company was very kind and called me personally. They could not find time that could work for our personal needs. Told us to call back Angie's list for the refund.

He let me know that if I wished to cancel the deal I could content Angie's List for a refund.

The work took about 3 weeks to complete. His workmanship was really good. He was trustworthy in our home. He worked us into his schedule very quickly.

I spoke to the owner, RICK MAYFIELD, about setting up the service. I bought the coupon in February but didn't contact until May about painting. He was very nice and accommodating, he's just booked for a couple months out and I was looking to have some things done in May.

Have used Rick before for other jobs and as usual all went well. He came out and cleaned deck and stained. Got all done in one day and it looks great :)

Very hard working, very nice man. It was nice to have someone reliable in my home, easy to talk too. He has given an estimate for some additional work I need and when I am ready I would gladly hire him again. He is someone you can trust to do an honest days work! Cleaned up the work area after his work was complete nicely.

Rick was great! He showed up on time, was very professional, clean, friendly, and cared about doing the job right. He pays attention to detail and makes sure the job is done completely and professionally. This is the second time we have used his services and we were pleased with his work.

The bid arrive Monday morning at 7 am by email. It was not itemized to include a breakdown of what I was paying for or if it included my Angie's list discount, I wanted to see his time and labor estimate and supplies that he was planning on. I asked Rick to please itemize and indicate my discount off of the $1,100 bid. He declined the request and said that it included my Angie's List member discount. I thought his bid was unreasonably high. This wasn't our first interior remodel of this 31-year old home. Another independent painter and crew removed heavy sawgrass wall paper and painted a room three times that size for $1400 in 2010. Rick Mayfield painting now has a $199 Big Deal for 8 hours if wallpaper removal repair and painting on Angie's list. Was he trying to tell us our job was a 10 day job? I got the impression that Rick just didn't want the job, so bidded himself out of it instead of just being honest. Unprofessional and disappointing. We've moved on to other projects with other A.L. Super Award winners. Sorry, rick, you're going to need to improve your professionalism and bidding/pricing before I ever consider you again.

It was a tough job. Rick worked hard.

He showed up as scheduled. He reviewed the job site and did a complete walk through with him. Asked questions when necessary and went to work. It was a job well done. He did an excellent job, and cleaned up well afterwards. I would definitely use him again for future projects.

Great deal...nice guy on the phone. He's talking 4-6 weeks before being able to provide services - and no promises it will be that soon. We need done within next 2-3 weeks.

Rick showed up on time and got right to work on the damaged areas. He sealed and painted water damage on the ceiling of our great room, scraped the damaged area in the corner of the same room, re-taped and painted the area. When he was finished, you would never know there was anything wrong in the room! We would highly recommend Rick as an honest and high-quality provider.

Excellent! Rick does such fine work. We cannot tell there was ever any water damage or that there was new drywall placed. He does top-quality work and we know we couldn't have gotten as good a job done by another painter. We have always trusted Rick to do all of our painting. He works by himself and is very detail-oriented. He also cleans up completely after his work is completed.

He was good. He did a good job. He actually worked more than we talked about but he was able to sit in another area in the time. He kind of explained what he was doing and then he also explained how we could do things while we are working on the house project wise so I was happy for the good price. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Went very well. This is the second job Rick has done for me. He is very friendly and professional. Is very detail oriented with his work. Essentially he removed all old wallpaper from kitchen in my home and put up new wallpaper. He also, while he was here, fixed/painted an old water stain on my ceiling. All went smoothly and everything looks great. Will continue to use him for other projects in the future.

Everything went well, he responded to my email quickly, came out for free estimate and was available when I needed him. Was on time- did job quickly but great quality work. Price was more than fair- in fact lowest of 4 bids. Even cleaned up before he left so you really couldn't even tell he had been here- I get a lot of stuff done in and around house and one constant is the mess most guys leave and he did not.

Rick was awesome. On time, amazing quality, did the house in 3 colors total and is a very dedicated professional. I've referred him to several friends.

I solicited a number of Angie's list vendors to bid my staining job. Rick was the only person who followed-up to make the bid. His bid was very good and then he did the work. Two coats in less than a day and a half. It looks great now. I would use him again.

Fantastic quality, took his time, and was very thorough in his painting. Don't remember the exact amount that he charged us, but it was very reasonable compared to other painters. He was flexible with our schedule.

Rick completed paint touch ups on the exterior of our cedar house. He also filled and smoothed out wood p***** holes. We provided the paint. He was able to complete all the touch ups in one day. We would hire Rick again.

Rick painted all the exterior that was already painted caulked every thing that had previously been caulked. Re-nailed some of the siding on one Gable end that had come loose. He washed the house down prior to painting. Painted all gutters and downspouts. Painted and cleaned 4 security storm doors one of them which had a pretty good amount of rust from neglect he ground and sanded all the rust from that one primed all bare spots on the doors and entire house before painting anything. He used water based paint on the house and oil based paint on all the security doors. He gave it all 2 coats of paint and used more paint than he had estimated. There are no paint spots anywhere even the grass and cleaned up some of the previous owners paint drips on the concrete porch and patio. I'm well satisfied and will use him again.

We needed to have our kitchen ceiling's drywall stamped after removing two 2' by 4' lights. Rick Mayfield did an outstanding job of matching the existing pattern perfectly. If you need drywall done, I would definitely recommend him.

Rick provided a very thorough and competitive estimate. Rick began and completed the job on time as projected. He is a one man team so it may take him longer than his competitors but his quality and attention to detail are worth the wait. The only surprises on the job were good ones where he went above and beyond what was expected. Rick is hard working putting in long hours in 90+ degree heat. We are very happy with quality, cost and timeliness of his work and will hire him again in the future.

As with the interior job, Rick did quality work ontime on budget. Pleased with his work and everything about it
