Rick was very easy to work with. He promptly responded to our call for an estimate. His estimate was reasonably priced and he scheduled the work within a week of our decision to contract with him. We were satisfied with the quality and professionalism he provided.

I purchased a property knowing that it needed repairs but did not realize to repair the damage was a project that was beyond my skills. I joined Angie's List and called Rick Mayfield. Rick came to the house, gave me a fair quote and promptly started this project. He was courteous, professional, prompt, and did an excellent job! I would recommend him to anyone

Rick quickly came out and gave a detailed bid. His bid was extremly affordable compared to other contractors. He showed up when promised and completed the work. In the master bath, he repaired grout and caulking as well as paint touch ups. Other parts of the house he repaired settling cracks in the walls and ceilings. They look great!! Then he painted our old mini-barn. Now it looks 100% better!! We were very satisfied to have this work so well done and very reasonably. We would definitely hire him again!

He did a high quality job. He is very trustworthy in the home because he was here a lot when I had him do this big paint job without anyone in the home, I completely trust him. His price is very reasonable for the amount of work that he did. He is a pleasure to work with. I already have some more jobs planned with him for the spring.

He had painted the ceilings in the interior so we trusted him to do an excellent job on the exterior and he did not disappoint. He did an excellent job on the exterior as well. He did the job on time and on budget. He was great to work with. He gave me an estimate for the entire job and was open to adjusting the estimate to exactly what we were looking for to have done. He is very detail oriented and he does the complete job. The house looks great! Luckily we had great weather for him to get this job done in November. We would certainly use his services again and I have recommended him to friends.

Rick responded quickly to give us an estimate and scheduled the work quickly as well. He showed up on time and did the work in the estimated amount of time as well. Rick did an excellent job. He was very particular about his work and he was very good about covering the furniture and flooring. He seemed to be a bit of a perfectionist and I can appreciate that. He certainly stands behind his work and wants to please his clients. He was courteous and respectful. We liked his work so much that we got an estimate for exterior painting as well and accepted it. I highly recommend Rick! He's dependable, experienced, well-priced and easy to work with. I trust having him in my home and do not have to worry about it being done right the first time -- it will be! I joked with him that I am a perfectionist and he met and exceeded those expectations. He's attentive and professional. I hope to use Rick again soon!

We were very, very pleased with Rick's quality workmanship and hard-work ethic. Our home is a single story brick ranch with lots of wood siding and trim. Rick was very thorough in his prepping of the house before painting. He properly washed it down, and was diligent in priming and scraping. He laid the paint on liberally and was very exact; he has an impressively steady painter's hand. He replaced some rotted eaves and other trim, and his cuts were exact and precisely re-installed. The house also has a screened-in back porch and needed several of it's 13 large window's re-screened, which was a complicated venture due to the nature of the framing. I had him replace all 13 screens and he did a phenomenal job: the screens were stretched tightly and the framing replaced properly. Rick also pointed out a couple of serious maintenance issues that he encountered while painting which rightly needed to be taken care of (roofing-related), which he did for no additional charge (when was the last time a contractor did that!?). Our house has lots of landscaping around and against the house, and none of it was damaged during this project. I was surpised at that cause I just assumed that it would get damaged, hard not to when you're moving ladders around, etc, but Rick was very careful. Rick arrived every day until the job was completed, starting around 8-9am and working till late afternoon. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Rick worked right through the horribly hot and humid weather we had in late July, early August. We told him we didn't expect him to work entire days during that miserably hot period but he worked full days anyway. Hire Rick Mayfield if you want a quality job at a fair price (and he's a nice person too).

THE GUTTERS NOW LOOK MUCH NICER AND MR. MAYFIELD IS A VERY NEAT WORKER. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK HE DID.

Quality of work was good. Took the extra time and effort to replace a door stopper and outlet cover.

Rick responded quickly to my initial call, providing an estimate within a couple of days. The work was scheduled quickly, and he communicated well throughout the job. He finished the work within 2 days. I warned him upfront that I am pretty picky, and he definitely delivered ... excellent quality at a fair price in a timely manner. You couldn't ask for more!

Rick came to my house and gave me an estimate for both the outside trim on my house and for the screened-in porch. Rick was able to begin the work within days of the estimate and arrived promptly each day. Rick was very professional and worked long days to get the job done. Rick is a hard worker and did an excellent job on the exterior painting of my house. I would highly recommend Rick to anyone. As a matter of fact, I am planning to use Rick on a couple of interior painting projects this fall/winter.

Mr. Mayfield arrived promptly early morning. He was very professional in appearance and his work ethics. He had a pleasant personality. He complete my projects in a very timely, neat, organized fashion. Very accurate in regards to the anticipated timeframe to complete projects. I would definatly use him again and recommend him to others.

RICK IS VERY TALENTED AND CLEAN. I DO AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE AND HE WAS VERY POLITE AND CONSIDERATE OF MY IN HOUSE BUSINESS.

He is a very good, honest, Christian man. He is very dependable and has his own ladders and equipment. He painted a three story building of mine with ease. He cleans up well and does everything right.

Recently he just painted our master bathroom, which reflects the cost. I keep using him because he is a perfectionist! He cleans up after himself, and there are not paint specks anywhere. He is prompt, professional, and reliable.

Mr. Mayfield did a great job! He came when he said he would, he finished when he said he would and did a great job! The cost was right at what we had talked about, no hidden costs....NICE!!

Rick had painted this house before for the previous owners. They had left his card with the old paint cans and I called him to give us a quote. He was prompt, polite, and made both my wife and I feel comfortable. His pricing was fair, and he - like a smart business owner - made sure to give discounts based on volume so make sure you get as much done at one time as possible! He was willing to do creative pricing - let us pick what we wanted to do ourselves and he would accommodate. His lines are perfectly straight. They appear to be done with tape, but he does it all freehand! Incredibly talented. Quiet, considerate, and patient with the customer. He had started painting our MBR and had it about 1/2 completed when I saw it for the first time and decided to change the paint. No grimace, no scowl, no huff, nothing. He simply smiled and asked me to hurry and pick out another color so he could catch back up. What a customer service focused experience. We even referred him to our neighbor and they already used his services as well!

He was there on time. He estimated that it would take 2 days to finish and he finished in 1 1/2 days. Everything was excellent! He is very neat. There was no mess afterwards. His price was exactly what he said it would be and it was very reasonable.

He was very neat. There was no paint on the furniture or carpet and there wasn't a mess anywhere. He was very friendly. He was very honest and I trusted him in my home without me being there. He has over 20 years experience in painting and you could tell.

Rick is an excellent painter who is always gives extra attention to details. We had two water leaks that led to one small (5"x5") drywall repair in the dining room ceiling. He was able to fix the drywall and do the painting so that we cannot even tell there was a water leak and hole. He also did a fine job on the office ceiling also. We have used Rick since a neighbor highly recommended him in 2002. We simply don't bother to call anyone else because he always does the job we ask of him, most expertly, and with reasonable cost. He is also the neatest painter we have seen. He pays great attention to neatness around the house, which is important to us.
