I was extremely impressed with their professionalism. I called about an estimate on a Friday and was given an appointment the following Monday. Dean Dowdell, the owner, examined the area in question and determined that I didn't actually have a mold problem. He recommended a fungicide that I could apply myself. Mr. Dowdell is a very nice man who clearly knows his business. If I ever do have a problem with mold, I wouldn't hesitate to make this company my first call.

They made it sound like a significant amount of work, it was not. I paid $400 for 10 minutes of work. I took issue with it and they insisted that they’d cut me a break just for showing up. These guys are bad news, avoid.

"We provided a detailed written proposal with the scope of work to which Mr. [Member Name Removed] agreed to and signed. We have been trying to get paid for this work for three months since Mr. [Member Name Removed] was not there at the time of service. We had three crew members working on this project and were there much longer than the ten-minute time frame he claims - again, he wasn't even there or else we would have been paid at the time of service. There were no complaints about the price, service, or any other aspects of the project until we insisted on payment."

Dean came out and analyzed the problem and discussed possible testing and remediation procedures. He said that it wasn't necessary to use his services and a general contractor could correct this relatively minor problem when repairing the damage. I offered to pay him for his time and expertise and he refused. (He did, however, suggest I write a review in Angie's List!)

We discovered mold under our bathroom floor on a Wednesday. I called RMS and Dean Dowdell (owner) came to the house the next day to give us an estimate. In the process of doing his inspection for the estimate, he discovered that our sump pump had stopped working. In order to treat under the bathroom in the crawl space, he needed the water removed. He included pumping out the water and replacing the sump pump. Dean told us that the would take up the vinyl floor in the bathroom and remove several inches of drywall and then treat and encapsulate all of the mold. He gave us the estimate on the spot and it was very reasonable, considering the work to be done. We were leaving for a vacation the next day, so we scheduled the work for while we were away. We came home; all the work had been done; and the entire area had been cleaned up. I hope we never have a mold issue again, but if we do we will call RMS.

"When we visited this property, we agreed on the above price based on our findings at the time of our evaluation. This included wiping down personal items in the basement. When we visited the property to perform the work, to our surprise, there were so many items that were added that we literally could not walk from one side of the basement to the other. The agreed upon price was based on what we viewed originally, not on what was added in the interim."

The owner, Dean, came out the very next day after I called. He took about 30-40 minutes inspecting my situation and said I could probably take care of it myself and then advised me on how. I tried to pay him for his time but he said it was not necessary, Would use again.

Dean was to come to my house at noon but called ahead because he was able to come earlier if I was home. It worked out and he was incredibly pleasant, even good around my crazy dog. I showed him the area where I thought mold was. He went into my attic and found the problem. He said the mold could be easily cleaned myself and he recommended I have a roofer fix the issue (mold caused by water damage on roof). I also asked about our air ducts possibly having mold and he suggested a company they use for duct cleaning. His visit was quick and informative, and didn't recommend any huge remediation needs. I would certainly call him to come to my house again should I have any other mold questions.
