HORRIBLY. It took almost 12 months for a 3 month project. They went as long as 4 weeks not on the job. They would not answer phone calls or emails. They claimed that they did work that was not completed. We had to hire an attorney at our expense to get them to take action. They sent a bill that was ~$10,000 more then what we owed them and then put a lien on our property. Again, more attorney expense and fortunately we had photos to document our case. We finally had to hire another company to finish the work as they would not show up. While we are not entirely sure why this happened, it appeared that ReNew bit off much more than they could chew (not skilled/equipped for remodels, especially high end older homes). I will say one positive outcome is that we have not had any water leakage into the basement yet, so at least their initial waterproofing seems to have worked. But still, it is definitely not worth dealing with their profound unprofessionalism so absolutely cannot recommend this company.

Long story shortened: Quoted : 8/2015 First day of work : 8/31/2015 Show up with no appliances or cabinets Find out manager of project no longer works there Many small jobs get done while waiting on cabinets to be delivered stove installed floors cleaned room painted First order of the cabinets were the wrong sizes. They order another round. Install new cabinets (11/28/2015) and microwave During installation since this was the last item, we paid themAt the end of install, went to look at stuff. they were not the right cabinets (not painted white inside) they did not even check before installing them forgot a cabinet door drilled handles in incorrect spots microwave venting was never set up properly They order another round of replacements In many attempts to contact them after cabinets come in, no response, finally get someone to call back in January 2016 Show up for third attempt of cabinet install (1/25/2016) not all the cabinets were ordered, they had only two cabinets no installation happens They order another round of replacements same day. We are now in April, the missing cabinets are in (have been for over a month), yet I can not get a call back to get them installed. You get no response from "personal" cell phones/ / emails, no one answers at the main company line or calls back from left messages. In the past if you did get someone at the main line and ask for a call back, you still would not receive a call back (until the 4th/5th time you called in for the month). The only reason I am still working with them is because they have already been paid, which was my mistake before checking over the work. I have lost faith that I will even get the work completed at this point and hope to just get the last of the cabinets delivered, since they are technically my cabinets since they are to replace the incorrect ones. Read the reviews and check the ratings, I would not use Angie's "overview" ratings, they are not accurate. You can see the flaws I am talking about in many of the reviews. Do not believe the sales hype if you do call them, its all flowers and rainbows at that time and if anything goes wrong, its all downhill from there with this company.

We were at work, so they were on the "honor" system. We feel their "honor" was deficient. 1. At times, they were punctual. Other times, they were weeks late 2. Several items appeared to never have been completed: For example: -- they claimed they cleaned the carpet in several rooms -- but broken glass remained -- they claimed they painted the bedroom walls -- if so, their paint don't smell 3. They used the cheapest materials and replacement parts that they could find -- for everything ! 4. At least their salesman was super-polished,

The company was unresponsive after the initial visit to develop an estimate. I received a refund from Angie's List for the amount spent on the "deal."
Description of Work: We purchased a deal - $75 for $250 worth of flooring in June. The company came out promptly to look at the floor (July 7), and were to provide an estimate. After that, I never heard back from the company. When I called to check on the status of our estimate (September), I was told that someone would get back to me, but no one called back. Instead of receiving an estimate for the work, I started receiving spam emails from the company. In October, I received a refund of the deal purchase price from Angie's List.

I called to have a roof inspected. Angies list recommend their services so I called and asked for an inspection. They informed me there would be an 80 inspection fee. I asked them to honor their free inspections for being an angies list customer as it says in there description. They refused so I did not use them.

We have recently changed our business model to better serve our customers and one way that we are improving our customer service is by providing our customers with a ten point roof inspection. This ten point inspection gives each customer a better idea of what their roof needs, based on our evaluation. These inspections have increased the amount of time that we spend on each estimate, therefore leading to the need to require an estimate fee for each roof inspection. We apologize that the reasoning for this fee was not clearly conveyed. We try to uphold a high standard in this industry and this ten point inspection is helping us to do just that.

It was covered by insurance. I thought they did a great job. They were very thorough. We had some water leaking in the basement and they did a walk-around of the house and noticed that one of our drain wasn't feeding the water far enough away from the house so for a hundred bucks, they put an additional drain extension and buried it under the ground and put it out there so that it solved the problem rather than just patching it up. I was impressed that they went to find out what the cause was and solved that problem rather than patching it up.

Our fire happened on 04/10/2014 and we called Renew soon after. We looked into three different companies before choosing Renew and I am glad we chose them overall. This was a huge project and everything turned out great. I do have to say it took a bit longer than planed. We were told we would be in by end of November or mid December 2014. We moved in by 01/31/15 with all of their hard work last minute. They got a lot done in a month to finish the project in time. We still had a few things that needed to be done when we moved in but they came out to fix them as time went on. Our landscaping still is not done but most things in the house are done. Chuck was our project manager and he is AMAZING!!! I really couldn't have gotten through this major project without him! He would always answer his phone and if not he would call me back quickly. We ended up adding a bathroom and making a more open floor plan downstairs. Tony the owner worked with us to make those changes and he was open to helping us save money in other areas to make those upgrades. Insurance of course did pay for most of it. We did have to pay some over due to the upgrades we chose. I was extremely happy that Renew was open to our ideas and helped us make it work. They all worked together and made sure I was happy with everything. I feel like they have became my friends rather than my contractors since we worked together almost everyday for almost a year to get us back in our home. There were some communication issues at times and some times I wasn't happy but with this big of a project, it would be hard to make things go perfect. After something so tragic and losing everything, it is great to start out new and we have our home the way we want. Thank you to everyone at Renew for all of your hard work! It is so good to finally be home!

Renew Services did a fantastic Job. I had a situation where my Insurance company had sent a notification that I needed siding repaired or they would cancel my insurance. I never received the notification and my insurance agent notified me late and so I was in a major time crunch. I contacted Chris Baughman (He is a GEM!!!!). He responded quickly and my repair job was done before the deadline. Not only that but he also gave me some feedback that would help me with my insurance company. Very Knowledgeable, professional, Always reliable and responsive. I greatly appreciate them helping me in a pinch!!! (P.s The place where the work was done was a single family Residential home, 1937, I prefer not to publish my address publicly).

All they did was pull back the carpet and cut out the pad that was damp. Well then the remainder of the job was going to be a bit more than originally expected. So a second person came out to give me an estimate to complete the job. they never came back, but instead sent me a bill for the remainder of the job even though the never finished the work. I called them and they apologized and sent the owner out. He promised that I would have the estimate within 24 hours, but again I never received anything from them. I am back to square one and have had the carpet pulled back in my basement for almost 6 months.

On August 20th, our company was to have met with Renew for a basement waterproofing evaluation and quote on behalf of one of our clients. The Renew representative (the owner) kept us waiting without the courtesy of a phone call for over a half hour. When he finally showed up he gave us his expert opinion and said he could save us, the expense of waterproofing, by doing a underground gutter irrigation. Because he had been so late and if we purchased the materials (and we did immediately), he would have one of his employees install a the temporary remedy at no charge. In a month if the temporary solution worked, he would do a permanent underground system. He told us he'd have the temporary work completed the following week. Several calls to Renew the week after the work was to have been done, resulted in no call backs. I finally texted him and he said the work would be done within 48hrs of that particular week (This was the week of Sept 1st).. After another no show, on Sept 8th, I text the owner (again) and asked due to his company's non responsiveness, should we move on to another contractor. He replied in the text, since he was doing this part for free, we should move on to another contractor, because his schedule will not permit and he is to busy. Meanwhile, each time it rained over the past weeks, the property sustained additional damage while waiting on the promised solution. We called another contractor and the temporary work was completed within 24 hrs. We personally have done our client a disservice, in waiting and trusting in Renew to take care of business. Moral of the story, nothing is free. WE NEVER ASK FOR FREE, IT WAS OFFERED as compensation and should have been delivered.

Two other estimates were from 1300 to 1800. They also told me that I needed 3 more boxes of flooring. The job was completed by another provider and i have 2 boxes left over. In the future, if a job is to "low end " for them, I suggest they say so right up front rather than deliberately overpricing so they are assured of not getting the job. Because surely this MUST have been deliberate in order NOT to get a particular job. Or could it be that they overcharge everyone this much? I was insulted.
Description of Work: I received an estimate of approximately 4200.00 to install less than 500 square feet of flooring that I already had. I was so shocked that I actually laughed !

We are hesitant to reply to your message but feel it’s important to clarify some missing information. You had initially contacted us with your concern that your flooring was previously installed using an inferior product with poor workmanship by a different company (Empire). You wanted the flooring professionally replaced with a new material you had just purchased, so you contacted us for the installation of that product. We arrived at your property and gave a full assessment starting by measuring the area (555 square feet). The items required in the install included moving appliances, removing and disposing of all current flooring, as well as detaching, resetting and painting the quarter round after install. You also did not have any vapor barrier for your new floor which is needed for proper installation, therefore we included it in our estimate. In addition to this, we included a quote at your request to replace the urine-soaked carpet in your living room from your dog with kidney stones, so we included a price to remove and replace that carpet as well as moving and resetting the contents of the room. To comment on your other point, we informed you that we could in fact complete the job with the amount of flooring that you had on hand. However, we stated that there wouldn’t be much waste left for any future repairs or replacements should another accident occur. We weren’t trying to sell you the flooring nor did we say that we couldn't complete the install with what you had on hand. We were simply making a recommendation that you buy more from where you got your new flooring if you wanted extra on hand. We provided you a quote with detailed line items on June 25. Your only reply was on June 28 stating that our quote was “funny” and you would let us know as well as Angie’s List know. We attempted to contact you back, uncertain of how to take your response, to clarify any questions or concerns you had about the quote. We’ve not heard from you until now. We never intended to make you feel insulted by our quote. We did our best to provide a very transparent, accurate and fair quote to complete your flooring install based on the information that you provided us. It’s very possible that our quote was the highest of the three you received. But that’s in no part related to inflating the cost for any ulterior motives. We only provide the highest level of service which sometimes comes at a higher cost than the companies that cut corners, like the one you used previously and were disappointed with. Our level of workmanship ensures you won't have to call out another company later on to fix a poorly done job, which ultimately costs you more in the long run.

.Called Renew because the roof was leaking water into our kitchen. Called at 9:00 am, Christopher Price said he could come by at 11:00 to look at the problem. At 12:30, he left a message saying he was running late, eventually arrived at 2:30. He went up on the roof and looked into the attic to take photos. Christopher said he would get back with me in a day or two with a quote for the roof and have someone from the interior division contact me about dry wall repair. To date, I have not heard back from anyone at Renew. Note to Christopher, my name is Mr. Henry not Buddy!

We worked with Chris, and he is fantastic! Professional and personable. The work was done by individuals that took the time to make sure the job was done well. When we had a small issue arise, they were out the next day to look into it. I would definitely hire them again!

We called the company to provide an estimate for roofing & drywall damage. The representative scheduled an appointment for 5pm. He called before the appointment to let us know that he would be a few hours late. We didn't mind the time change because of all the good workmanship reviews that we had read on Angie's List that led us to call the company in the first place. The company representative showed up later that evening to examine our roof/drywall. Based on his verbal estimate, the price seemed reasonable and inline with what we thought for the project. This occurred on a Thursday evening, and we were told that we would receive a written estimate early the next week. We didn't hear anything from the company any time during following week, so my husband called the number on the card at the end of the week to inquire about the estimate. The voicemail was full and instructed us to text for faster service. So, he sent a text to inquire about when we would receive a written estimate. Three days later, we've still not received a response to the text or a written estimate. We understand that they may be busy with other work, but we wish they would have told us that up front so that we could have reached out to another company sooner.
