Description of Work: I paid for this deal and when I contacted Handy Randy to fix a board on my chimney he said he could not as he "does not do ladders". Have not used him for anything yet but the no ladders thing should probably been mentioned in the "deal".

Description of Work: Two types of things: Minor repairs from a water damage problem and also a laundry list of other things. |I had water damage from a hot water heater problem. After the restoration company did its dry-out and rebuilt the wood floor for the new hot water heater, minor repairs needed to be done. The refrigerator had been pulled out of place. Randy installed a new piece of wood on the floor so that the refrigerator would be level when it was rolled back into place. He also replaced baseboards in the bathroom around the toilet, and a molding strip on a kitchen cupboard, and caulked. |Other things: lots of caulking in kitchen and bathroom; reseated a small countertop that had gotten seriously out of kilter; put together a small plastic and metal table I had purchased; fixed an under-counter fluorescent light in the kitchen; installed a new shower head and tried to diagnose the problem with the shower (will try to call a plumber friend to take a look at it); installed a new handle on a toilet; hung a small picture; etc. Also put me in touch with a painter friend who will do some painting for me later this year. |This work was done over three visits, which depended on Randy's need to buy materials, the weather and his other commitments. |I had used Randy last summer to do a laundry list of small items including changing lots of light bulbs, etc. and was highly satisfied, so called him again for this work. Also, Randy lives not very far away from me. |Randy King is a pleasant person and highly competent. He seems to know about all the different kinds of jobs he needs to do, and the questions I ask. He has the equipment to do the job, e.g., an air compressor to nail in the baseboards behind the toilet. I have the feeling that Randy can handle much larger and more complicated jobs than mine. To have a handyman who can handle all the different little things that go wrong in the house is great. I will definitely use Randy King again.

Description of Work: Randy helped me again with many household maintenance jobs. He replaced my kitchen sink faucet and did a fine and tidy job of it. He climbed up and replaced high light bulbs, removed cooling grates for cleaning, repaired a fence in the yard, fixed a hinge on a cupboard that wasn't working and more. He's also great because he is willing to accomplish some of those "honey-do" jobs that some other handymen refuse to consider. He has even repaired furniture -- a broken coffee table, a tabletop that needed sanding, and so on. He has built two small ramps for our aging dog to get up some steps. Plus he's a great guy and nice to work with.

Description of Work: We asked Randy to re-wire a floor lamp. He came by and picked up the lamp to repair it in his shop. He checked it out and it didn't need to be re-wired, it needed a new bulb. Duh! We like Randy and would call him with any job he would be willing to take on for us.

Description of Work: Randy was prompt getting with me. I was pleased with his quote and description of how he would do the work. I just ended up not doing the work yet.

Description of Work: Randy is great. He came over and gave us a honest recommendation for free. Excellent customer service and great communication.

Description of Work: Randy caulked our bathroom on ground floor and basement. He also added some grout to the bathroom floor that was cracked. He is very thorough and efficient. I like that you know exactly how much you will be spending and he works so efficiently, so he's not just wasting time. Overall pleased with whole experience. Would recommend to all who need a handy man.

Description of Work: Called Randy that am re: broken kitchen drawer in a cabinet. He came at noon to estimate & stayed to fix it. Nice job. Definitely would use him in future. He's worked for me 2x in the past.

Description of Work: I called to have work done on an overhead fixture. Mr. King told me he'd call Friday of the week I called to tell me when he could come take care of my problem on Monday or Tuesday. Never heard from him again. If he didn't want to do the work he should have said it up front rather than have me wait another two weeks to find someone else b/c I did not hear from him.

Description of Work: HE CAME FOR AN ESTIMATE, AND BROUGHT HIS PAINTER WITH HIM WHO GOES BY THE NAME OF SCOTT SANDERS, OF SANDERS FINE PAINTING. I GAVE THEM EACH A DETAILED LIST OF WHAT I NEEDED DONE, AND IT WAS PRIORITIZED. I CALLED BACK SEVERAL TIMES ASKING FOR THEIR ESTIMATE, AND THEY IGNORED MY PHONE CALLS.
