He really had to work at it for awhile. The elbow appeared to be really blocked up with mineralization from the water but he finally got it clear and flowing smoothly. No fancy equipment, just a snake with a little motor drive, elbow grease and determination. My cousin referred them to me and may have picked up the bill as I haven't received one yet. That's why I couldn't comment on price. Definitely recommend for blocked drains.

They were very responsive. Called at 11:30am On site by 1pm. Done by 2pm. Drain clear - 'nough said.

These folks were prompt, courteous, & fixed the problem quickly. Also provided information about ways to avoid future issues.

Serina came out and along with her helper had the line cleared within 10 - 15 minutes. I was happy!

Our basement drain (the main line) was making an ominous gurgling sound. We had no water backing up into the basement, however due to the age of the house, and the fact that so many sewer lines have been replaced recently in our neighborhood, we were very concerned. We called R & S to come out and clean the drain, primarily to clear any potential blockages and see if there was a larger problem with the line. The person who took my call was very kind, and able to fit us in the same day. The woman who came out to our home knew that I had to leave to pick up my son, and made an effort to come before I had to leave. She was very polite and friendly, and also very competent. She listened to the sound, removed the top of the drain line to see down, and had us turn on all of our 1st floor faucets. The line remained clear, and she went outside to inspect the nearby manholes. She came back with the recommendation that we call Citizens to report a blockage on the city side, saying that it's likely an issue on their end. The sound appears to be coming from further down the line, away from our house, and with nothing backing up it isn't behaving like a blockage that we can fix. She recommended saving the money that we'd spend on a cleanout until we knew that other potential issues were eliminated. We were extremely relieved and grateful for her advice. She charged us nothing, and said that if we continue to have problems we should give them a call back. We'd gladly use them again, and will be calling if the sound continues after an inspection from Citizens.

I contacted them on June 25 and they said that they could come out on the 27th. My appt. was for 930 am. I was still waiting at the house at 10 and called them to see if they were going to show up. The person answering the phone acted like they did not have any record of my appt. but could send someone out right away. They showed up at 1040am only to tell me that they could not do the work. Don't bother calling them unless you have a perfect scenario for them to use their equipment. They did refer me to other contractors but I had not heard of one and the other did not do that type of work. They are only able to do very basic jobs.

All went well Jennifer showed on time, quickly completed the inspection, and provided a detailed report. Definitely will use again if I have a drain issue.

We had water coming up the basement drain. Our normal plumber couldn't make it out that day and referred us to R&S. They came out within a couple hours and had the drain clear in under 2 hours. I had never heard of R&S before this but they will definitely be my first call for any drain issues in the future.

Both visits the provider arrived in a timely fashion and was professional during the visit. The techs were very knowledgeable about drain pipes and offered several suggestions to keep the clog from occurring again.

They did a great job! This was our first time using them and they were on time, courteous, friendly, and got the job done! We had a couple tough jobs for them and they took care of the issues for us quickly. I would highly recommend R&S Sewer Cleaning.

Had arranged an appointment for drain cleaning at 4PM. I did not hear from the company until I initiated another call at 620PM and was told "You are still on our schedule." No call to tell me they would be late, no asking if it was okay that they come that late in the evening. I had used this company in the past and was pleased but there is simply no excuse for not contacting a customer that had a scheduled appointment.

The sewer clean out line from our house to the sewer was broken and we called R&S for an estimate. They came out, looked at the problem and told us it wasn't a job they handled. They recommended another company that could do the job. Even though we didn't/weren't able to hire them, we really appreciated their honesty about the job. We also appreciated that they knew of a company that could do the work. R&S came out to look at the problem the same day we called. Their crew was knowledgeable and friendly. I would hire them to do any other work we might need. It is to their great credit that they deal in a truthful and customer-friendly manner. This is why we like to hire small businesses rather than corporate franchises to do work. I would rate them top-notch in this regard.

Our main drain line appeared to be clogged. I called R&S in the morning. They told me they would definitely be out today and said they'd have the technician call when he was on his way. He did, and Jimmy and Andy showed up when they said they would. They asked questions about the problem, and I showed them the places where they could access the drain. The one they chose hadn't been opened in over 20 years, but they were able to open it. They cleared the drain. Jimmy and Andy could not have been friendlier or more polite. They were careful as they moved through the house, and quickly cleaned up any drips from the cable. They made sure the line was clear before they left. I appreciated the prompt, friendly service. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again, or to recommend them to anyone else.

I thought my line was backed up by tree roots. It was partially and this crew did a tremendous job. They were on time and knowledgeable professionals. The tree roots were quickly removed and the line was tested that it was cleared. They determined I had additional roots from a shrub I had previously removed. Since I was able to fix this part, I didn't request them to root this part of the line. Great crew.

One tech came out on Thursday and couldn't get it open, but said she would have another tech who was more experienced come out the next day, and she was able to open it. No charge for the first day even though they were there for an hour, and again an hour the 2nd day.

The technicians were prompt and professional. Tammy and Danielle brought everything they needed including a garbage bag to carry away small roots that were removed during the cleaning. There were several areas of our line that had minor issues. The first area was a section where the two original tiles had slightly separated; one edge was laying on top of the next tile instead of next to it. Another area was a curve from our line to meet the city sewer; the trough had to curve slightly in order to connect to the city line. Our home was built in 1971 and the sewer line still has the original clay tiles. We have a large maple tree in the front yard; these trees are notorious for spreading their roots into sewer lines. Fortunately they found very few roots. The area where our private line connects to the city line was not a smooth curve due to the nature of the ceramic tile shape. Consequently our sewage and water runs smoothly to this place, then meets a "wall" before changing direction to the city sewer line. Tammy explained that this only means the flow is somewhat slowed in order to make the "turn". Nothing was stuck at that spot. The cable with the camera encountered the "split tiles" and was stuck because it ran into the raised tile portion. Tammy had me turn on all the faucets and flush a toilet a couple time. The increased water flow was then able to lift up the camera/cable to continue along the line. Our sewer line basically got a "clean bill of health". We performed this service proactively because of the age of our sewer line. We've noticed many homes in our subdivision with mounds of dirt from emergency clean-outs and wanted to avoid unexpected sewer expenses. Tammy left us with a DVD recording of their inspection.

When I called, I was prompted to leave a message, which I did. I was called back within a couple hours, which I thought was fine, but they apologized that it took so long. They quoted me a fair price over the phone and even though I was hoping for an apointment today, they gave me the first available appointment (tomorrow). I received a call a few hours later stating they had a truck available. They came out and had us up and running very quickly. We are extremely pleased and would hire them again in a minute.

R&S was recommended to me by my home inspector who was checking out the house I was looking to buy. He noticed standing water in the main pipe running from the house to the sewer, and suggested I get a camera inspection before buying, to make sure there was no serious damage to the pipe. My experience with R&S was great. They were able to schedule me within a day or two of calling, and on the day of the inspection, Tammy called ahead to let me know her arrival time. Once we had run an extension cord to the house to power her equipment, it only took a few minutes to get things set up. Tammy ran the camera the length of the pipe and clearly explained what we were seeing on the video monitor. There was a particular section of the pipe that I was concerned about, and she did a great job answering my questions, and recommending other services to keep the pipe well-maintained. She left me a DVD of the video footage. Tammy received several phone calls while she was working, and explained to me that one of their scheduled customers had suffered a death in the family that morning, so she was adjusting their work schedule to accommodate their needs. It was nice to hire a company that did good work and also showed such concern for their customers. One thing to note is that (at the time of my inspection, at least) R&S charged an extra fee for driving to locations that were beyond a certain distance from their office. That seemed very reasonable to me, and I feel like I still got my money's worth with R&S.

I got them from Angie’s List. A company told me that I had to have a sonogram to know how deep it was before I can get an estimate on the repair. That is why I had this done before I had the repair done. They were on time and they seemed very professional.

R and S promptly came to my residence and professionally taclked the problem of clearing the drain line. The workers were bothe courtoeus and informative, offering alternatives prior to actually using their machine. They removed a huge root blockage which was the culprit.

Great, responsive service at the right price and on a Sunday yet. I would use them again without hesitation.
