R & R Roofing

Roof began to leak a few weeks ago. Got in contact with the roofers, explaining the situation. They have been scheduled to come and inspect their work twice and have not shown up either time. Find roofers who can manage a company and stand by their work instead of ones who duck and dodge any issues.

Robert was very responsive and told me that I could have my leak fixed rather than replacing my whole roof. He repaired the leak and I haven't had any more issues with it. A few years later he came back after a storm and was honest with me that I didn't need replacement after a few shingles were lifted by wind. I really appreciate his honesty.

Robert is excellent. He responded very quickly and arranged to be out the next day (on a Saturday) to address all of our roofing repair needs. We weren't able to be home for the initial assessment, so he came out while we were gone, took a look at the damage and did some prep-work, then came back a short time later with materials after providing an estimate via phone/text. He did all of the work requested and even additional areas that he was able to identify from the roof, that we hadn't yet noticed from the ground. He's very fair with pricing and a good honest guy. Will definitely use him when we need a new roof. But we may never need one if he keeps doing such a great job fixing us up when we have troubles!

The owner, Robert Helm came out and talked with me about what he was going to do. About meshing (blending) in the addition to the original house and taking down the chimney and closing the hole that it would leave and about the leak we had where the garage and the original house come together (that was supposed to be fixed when we had the roof re-done in Dec. 2003). Then Mr. Helm and his crew came out and did all the work on June 9, 2016. Mr. Helm helped take down the old chimney and nothing came crashing down on the new addition or on the ground. The crew worked all day. Mr. Helm left to get rid of the old chimney parts and shingles from the the area of the original house that were removed to mesh the new addition into. Mr. Helm came back when the job was finished and climbed up the roof and checked all the work. He told me about the California valleys that were done on the addition to the original house and he told me about the repair to the roof area where the chimney was and he also checked over the repair to the roof where the leak had been . He told me that his worker said that there were several items missing that they would have put on that area of the roof that leaked after the re-roofing in Dec. 2003. Mr. Helm said to let him know if the roof leaks or the repair leaks anytime. We just had a big rainstorm (today is June 14, 2016) and my rain gauge shows over an inch of rain and at times it was coming down very hard AND I have NO LEAKS , not in the addition, not where the chimney was AND NOT WHERE THE LEAK HAS BEEN. Added note: The company that did our roof in Dec. 2003 had come out at least 2 times to fix the leak where the garage and the house meet AFTER they re-roofed the entire house with no success. It would take many calls before we could get a call back. We honestly got tired of contacting them and gave up . That part is our fault. I want to thank Robert Helm and his crew from R&R Roofing!!! We will sing their praises to all who ask about a roofer!!! Mr Helm and his entire crew were very polite, careful of our property and hard workers!

They completed a complete roof teardown and putting new shingles on in a single day. Over the weekend more high velocity wind hit the area and they came out the next day to check and make sure everything stayed in place. They did everything without requiring any money upfront to start or complete the work. R&R Roofing is a true roofing company that not only does the work, they did it correctly without cutting corners to meet the insurance quote. They also kept me informed with everything that was going on. Truly a professional company and a great company to work with.

He and his crew showed up on time and completed all the work in about 10 hours which is unheard of on a complete roofing tear down and replacement. He had enough workers on site to do a speedy yet professional installation. Cant say enough about him and his crew. WOULD USE AGAIN IN A HEART BEAT.

Mr. Robert Helm was out last August (2014) for an estimate and to meet with my insurance adjuster, but we had a baby in September and the repair job fell off our radar until this Spring (after I noticed a few more shingles blown off in our yard). The repair costs were less than our deductible, so it would be out of pocket. After reconnecting in Spring, he returned my call promptly and was able to schedule the work to within a couple days of my requested window. Robert is a super nice guy and easy to work with. Very accommodating and extremely honest. After the job, he calculated actual material costs and time spent and it came out to be less than the original estimate! He took great care in matching the shingle and the work looks great. No damage to anything and NO MESS. Also, I was appreciative that he didn't call CPS on us after seeing the "cage" with a kid's chair in it that my daughter uses as her pretend jail on her playground. LOL. Excellent experience all around and I'll definitely use him for future work. I've already recommended him to others. A big thanks to Mr. Helm for another great service experience from Angie's List!

Robert Helms owner of R&R responded promptly to phonecall & was able to arrange a date within 1 week to meet with me to discuss roof tile concerns & provide thorough inspection. Robert is consummate professional - paying close attention to details, concerns & hands on examination of roof. I was impressed w/ his questions re. History of roof repairs & past issues taking in whole picture of status of roof. As long time home owners of older homes we realize the value of maintenance for prevention & repairs as needed for long term stability of a home as well as lowering risk for problems later on . That said - there have been many occasions where a contractor cut corners or didn't relate essential info only to have problems down the road . Most appreciative Robert noted we had no drip edges on garage ( no wonder we had recent wood damage / rot after last roofers work) and suggested installment. He also problem solved how our painters could get up to 3 rd level dormer assuring their & the roof tile safety. Robert coordinated timing for painter wallboard & repairs right away & he & his 2 workers had all work completed exactly as scheduled . It was great having someone on site who loves & knows his work & goes above & beyond to do the job right. I will definitely utilize R&R for any future needs & highly recommend ! Huge improvement from past experience with larger roof companies where owner out of site once contract signed .

Great results. Because the existing roof wasn't properly vented, condensation under the roof resulted in drips. R&R improved venting, and that stopped accumulation of moisture under the roof. I'm very pleased.

Have used this company in the past (recommended by my neighbor). Recently had them repair a leaking flat roof that is over our sun porch. The were very professional, did the job in a timely manner and we are very pleased with the outcome. Robert is easy to work with and courteous. Will definitely use them in the future.

We had a roof leak due to missing shingles after the most recent windstorm, so I began the claim process with my insurance company and began getting estimates. I called Robert because of his excellent rating on Angie's List and his close proximity to my home. He returned my call promptly the next morning and was able to be at my house that same day for the evaluation. He is very honest and seems to be a good dude, all around. He gave me his evaluation with quote and made relevant suggestions, but he also agreed to meet with my adjuster to see what they say. My roof is old enough that they may authorize a replacement, but if not, he suggested I pay for the repairs out of pocket, since my deductible may be more than the cost of just the repairs. We'll see what happens! This is my first potential insurance claim on our 12yr old home, so I'm not sure what to expect. Either way, I plan on having Robert do the work because he is such an honest and outstanding individual.

We called Robert and had him come out since our roof was leaking. It had rained a lot and water was coming in the house. He checked the roof and found the leak, did the repair and promised that he would come out again if it needed a more extensive repair. The cost was more than reasonable, and he said if he needed to come back, he would apply what we paid toward the more expensive fix, but he felt that what he had done would do the trick. He was honest and fair. We highly recommend him.

Robert was very responsive and professional. I called him to come look at my roof and he came that day and diagnosed the problem immediately and gave me a very fair quote in 24 hours. I was not home when they came back to fix the roof and I was very impressed with the work. He had gone well above what he said he was going to do because of what he uncovered but did not charge more. He also took pictures of what he saw before fixing and emailed the pictures to me as documentation of what was wrong and how he fixed it. I have not had that level of service from a roofing company before.

The estimating process and communication was excellent. I'm sorry we couldn't use him.

Excellent Work! This was a custom on site fabrication and installation as Robert did not use a prefabricated system. We had not seen this type of work previously and it was a pleasure to watch the handmade process. We are familiar with metal roofs having installed one on a previous home and have to say that the quality of workmanship and attention to detail Robert displayed were outstanding!

Robert is very professional, punctual, knowledgeable and cleans up after himself. The job was done with care and he did not cut any corners. We have used him for years on both this house and a previous house - and he puts the same level of effort into small and large jobs and we have never had problems with the work he has done. This guys knows roofs and can explain in easy to understand language what you need done and why.

Very professional and very prompt. Numerous photos were taken to describe the before and after repair. It was impressive to have a and quot;smalland quot; repair job completed very promptly.

We were very impressed with them. They were very good at coming out for the estimate and following up. We had a positive experience with them but we decided to go with a local company. They seemed to be very knowledgeable and were very punctual.

Contacted me by phone to re-schedule appointment for the bid. Apologized. Came out promptly for the appointment and sealed/caulked the area of our roof that was leaking. Did it free of charge because it was going to be some time until they could fix the roof. Came out 1 and a half months later and did the job as promised at the correct amount. They even caulked/flashed another small area of our roof for free!!

They were extremely professional and detail oriented. Also had excellent communication throughout the project. I can recommend this company without reservation. Owner performed the service himself with the help of his crew.

Robert seemed professional on the phone. I made an appointment for him to look at my chimney and give me a quote. He was late getting to my house, first of all. He was, however, nice and thorough with his explanation of the work that he thought needed to be done. He told me that my chimney should be reflashed and that he would then put a waterproof sealer on my chimney. He left and told me that he would email me the quote, which he did. After a few days of not getting any responses to my email replies, I left a message for Robert telling him that I feared my emails went to his spam folder, which they had. He never returned my call. He responded with an email telling me that my emails had gone to spam and that he was booked until mid October and that he could not help me. He then gave me a name and number of another person. I replied and asked Robert if he would just tell me what the waterproofing sealer was called and where I could get it so that I could seal my chimney myself to see if that would cure my problem before dropping hundreds of dollars getting my chimney reflashed, since I had a previous roofer tell me that he didnt understand how it could have been the flashing with the problem i described, but alas, Robert would not even respond to me to tell me what the waterproof sealer is called and where i could get it.

Excellent experience with Rand R Roofing - these are definitely the guys you need to call if you are in need of roofing repairs! They showed up promptly the next morning to provide an estimate to fix my two issues and were very competitively priced compared to the other two estimates that I had already received. Robert said he might be able to squeeze me in later that same day since the job was so small and he was already working in the area and would be finished with that job around 2PM. He returned 4 hours later with an assistant and all of the materials. Performed all of the work exactly as described and was very professional. I was happy with the results. They matched the old shingles perfectly and cleaned up all of the mess (even used a blower on entire roof/gutters!). Much to my surprise they also offered to fix one of my box vents on the house that was badly dented and fix up a couple of gutter issues that I had for an additional $50 which was very reasonable considering this additional work caused them to have to work into the evening. They didn't rush the work at all. Good quality work at a reasonable price is so hard to find these days... Rand R will be the only one I call next time for anything related to my roofing/gutters.
