+ -1 moreI've used them and they are really good. They bring the pod, you fill it up and then they come back and get it. They were really responsive when I called them and I told them what I needed. Mine is still on site becuse I'm still putting stuff in it, its about 6 by 20. I like them because they are responsive and when you have questions con the fee, they'll discuss it with you right upfront. I've been using them for the last four months and I like their service. They showed up when they said they would and put my pod there.

+ 0 moreInitially delivery and pickup went smoothly. The problem, that we'd been given a defective POD, was realized when POD was delivered to our new home Dec 26, 2012 -- THE POD LEAKED! There was ONE INCH OF SNOW covering a quarter of the contents, water had seeped down between boxes to the floor, ice frozen on one garment rack. Everything wet had to be hurriedly opened and checked for damage. Despite photographs, the offer by UNIRISC, PODS' insurer, was only $75 for damages. I wished we had moved EVERYTHING ourselves. I cannot recommend them. Their business concept is brilliant, their product and service is inferior. I paid full price for a defective 16' POD. A huge disappointment.
Description of Work: The POD was delivered on Oct. 16, 2012 & picked up from our home in NY on the 24th. We used them for half the property & our piano.

+ -1 morebad service. bad costumer service. i wouldn't recomend this company. they fail at all they suposed to provide. find another company would save time,money and sanity.
Description of Work: pod was brought to my address. provider refused to move the pod to an proper location. pod was set down in the very front of my driveway. provider argued and refused to moved the pod to the back of the driveway,even tho we told him we were going to get a trash dumpster. contractor called the company with no result of remidy. now were stuck with no place to put all the trash. cleaning the basement, we have to put all the garbage in the back yard(complaints from the city and neighbors about trash stacked in yard). now we have to wait til all the work is done and the pod is removed to get a trash bin or other methods of removing the trash.the contractors is the one who order the storage pods, but the company refused to remidy the problem. saying the home owner didnt specify to pod driver where to put it. which is a lie. we told him over and over, but he refused. he used excuses to advoid to put the pod in the far back of the driveway. over all this company stinks for service and costumer services. Now we have a back yard full of trash.

+ -1 moreI called them a week ahead of time to have my pods delivered to my address, but could not get them delivered for this entire long weekend. Unless you know way ahead of time when you want them to drop off the pods, you may have to wait weeks for them to show up. The customer service reps were rude and they are about three times more expensive than other storage palaces.

+ 0 moreIt's a national firm. They bring the container, leave it at your house, you pack it, then they come pick it up and transport it for you. I have no problems and great service. I would recommend them to anybody. They did a great job. You call and they get you set up with your area. I packed and sealed it and you lock it yourself and keep the keys with you. They stored it for a month and a half. It was a reasonable price and easy to get the pod into the driveway. They were clean and delivered as they said they would.
Description of Work: I moved out here my Florida. I did two separate delivers. I had a house full of stuff.

+ -1 moreCalled PODS for storage as I put carpet in. It was delivered exactly where I asked while I was at work. Kept the POD to sort out junk from my daughters rooms. :-) After two months, they picked up the POD. On line reservation worked like a charm and they billed my card. Very nice.
Description of Work: Storage unit dropped off in driveway and picked up two months later.

+ -1 moreI notified the office the first week that I was having trouble getting the door open. There were tree limbs and leaves on top and inside the pod. The sign was hanging off. There was a wasp nest on the pod, as well. They didn't do anything. They finally sent someone out a week before it was time to pick up my stuff and leave. There were complications with the pick up day in the end. I would not recommend them or use them again.
Description of Work: I went here for storage rental for my property. I needed to have temporary storage for furniture and clothing for four months. I needed a clean space for this storage.

+ -1 moreOrdered a POD to keep our stuff in it while we were in between houses. The customer service line was frustrating, but the person who dropped off the POD was great -- probably overqualified for the job. The POD was clean and easy to use. They were supposed to call before they came to pick it up and they forgot to. Not that big of a deal, but sort of annoying. We haven't gotten the POD back for unpacking yet, so hopefully everything will be in good shape. They do not tip the POD at all when they place it on the truck, which is the main reason we used PODS.
Description of Work: Ordered one POD to keep some of our belongings in it while we were in between houses. We sold ours before we found a new one to buy.

+ -1 moreI sent them an e-mail requesting pricing and they quickly responded. They delivered the POD on time and when promised, leaving where I had designated. It was exactly as described and everything fit in it just fine. When I needed to keep it another month, I just let them know and it was no problem. Then when I was ready for them to pick it up I scheduled it a week in advance and they picked it up on time and as promised. It is a wonderful service and I would use them again.

+ -1 moreI won't move any other way. They were punctual in bringing the unit so we could start loading it and they picked it up at the assigned time. I found this is the cheapest way to go. Everything came safe and sound. We were able to store furniture in it for some time before we could unload it.

+ -1 moreThey seemed very nice and there were no problems. It was a good experience. They came to our house, so we didn't have to worry with going in and out of storage ourselves. They have an internet program that allowed us to delay delivery and pick up. We changed it a lot!
Description of Work: They delivered our pods from Arizona to Indianapolis. We used two 16-foot pods. We did our own packing. We got a discount for the second pod.

+ -1 moreThe POD was clean, and the people were professional, including those that helped to arrange the appointment. They were extremely punctual. I would recommend this company again.
Description of Work: They dropped off the POD on time. This included a call the day before as a reminder, and an en route call. They did the same thing for pick-up. The POD was exactly as described. They set up the construction barricades for us (as was required to have for our city).

+ 0 moreThis was a very convenient way to move things yourself. We ordered the POD and scheduled deliver/move dates over the internet. They placed the POD, where we asked them to. It is very easy to load (4'' off the ground) and you don't have to drive a big truck.

Centralized reservation with people who are condescending, rude and have very little knowledge about the product, will argue about what time it is where you need the delivery. They are not in the least interested in customer service. They will only provide three hour ranges for delivery and pick up and then were 2 hours late. The idea is good and the container was clean. You might want to try a SAMS. We will next time.
Description of Work: Left a container in the driveway for filling and then picked it up.

+ -1 moreIt was a great experience. The people were friendly. It is very easy to schedule over the internet. There are not any cancellation/change fees if you cancel/reschedule prior to 4:00pm the previous day. The schedule fills up, so we found we needed to schedule pick up / deliver dates about 5 days ahead of time.
Description of Work: Delivered a PODS container (12' by 16') to our driveway. Once we had filled & locked the container, they moved it to our new home. We kept it there for a few days to empty it, then they removed it.

+ -1 moreWASN'T IMPRESSIVE. DELIVERY GUY WAS A ROYAL PAIN. GUY ON THE PHONE ADVISED ME AS TO SPACE RESTRICTIONS, WHICH I MET, BUT STILL HAD TO HASSLE WITH DELIVERY GUY. THEY SCREWED UP THE DELIVERY DATE BY A MONTH, BUT WERE PUNCTUAL ONCE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED. NOTHING WAS EASY WITH THEM.

THEY HAVE SPECIAL EQUIPMENT FOR MOVING THE POD, SO YOUR ITEMS DON’T GET JOSTLED (WE HAD IT PACKED AND EVERYTHING CAME OUT THE WAY IT WAS PUT IN). ALSO DON’T HAVE TO BE THERE FOR PICKUP AND DROP-OFF, WHICH CAN BE HELPFUL. THEY ALSO CALL TO NOTIFY YOU THEY ARE ON THE WAY. WE PAID $375 FOR DROP-OFF AT THE OLD HOUSE, PICKUP A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER, STORAGE FOR 5-6 WEEKS, DROP-OFF AT THE NEW HOUSE AND PICKUP A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER.
