They communicate and they punctual. They are polite when they come to your house. I have been with them 12 years and whenever I have something to do, they show up.

In fact my water softener froze in that -32 degree windshield that we had not too long ago and I called them again on a Friday night and they were out. Very reasonable, very quick because they knew it was on emergency time and I love these guys. They came out they really got to the problem quick in the household. They were out within half an hour.

We had previously used Airmaster and had a high-efficiency gas furnace installed by them in 2012. We had intermittent problems in cold weather with the furnace shutting off overnight and waking up to a very cold house. Airmaster checked it out but said everything was working normally and that it could be high wind, ice formation, dirty filter, etc. In other words, not anything fixable. After Airmaster went out of business, I contact Peterman and it was a great experience. Their technician (tip of the hat Bill!) asked lots of questions about when the problem occurred, what caused it/didn't cause it, what fault codes were reported, and inspected the furnace as wall as the exterior vent. He diagnosed that the problem might be because the vent was too close to the house allowing ice to form on the intake. He couldn't fix it that day as he didn't have the materials but he was back a couple of days later (no additional charge beyond the agreed price for the repair) and did the work. We experienced another outage a couple of days later but their tech on call (tip of the hat to Alan!) was able to come by and do some additional diagnostics. He identified that the furnace might not be getting sufficient air flow to keep it cool during heavy load in very cold weather and adjusted the furnace dip switches to compensate. He also advised me on some other more extensive steps that could be taken but he thought we should see if this worked before trying more extensive repairs. No charge for the additional service call. I felt that Bill and Alan really went the extra mile in their service. Now wishing I had bought my furnace from Peterman!

Chuck was great. He assessed the problems. I had three issues -- a leaky toilet, a leaky kitchen faucet, and a bathtub knob that wouldn't turn all the way off. I had purchased the Angie's List service call special and saved 17% on the service call. It will be a free call when he returns with the part. He told me what I needed to do to fix the bathtub faucet, so he saved me money there. I like that part! I would definitely recommend them.

The service was fine. I was pleased with them. They did what they were supposed to do. I would tell a friend or a neighbor that they are a good company.

I was pleased with the service. I even purchased a service contract for each of our three HVAC units. I am, however, still waiting for a quote on replacing one our all of our thermostats.

During the cold spell we had last winter our heater went out. We called Petermans and they came out right away and got us all fixed up. Our unit was shot. They replaced our old unit with a high efficiency unit and it has worked out wonderfully. Super professional and would recommed this company to anyone who needs their heating or cooling replaced.

Quick and thorough Did not try to over sell

I told the plumber that all I needed to fix a leaky toilet at the base by replacing the wax ring. I had already paid for the service call, and they charged $130 dollars for the repair, which was too pricey for a 30 minute job. I expected them to be more reasonable for the work that was performed.

We purchased a Big Deal. They came out and unclogged a drain. I would recommend their service.

I called to get an appointment for a plumber to come light our water heater. The woman said she could get me in today, but couldn't say what time. I said tomorrow was better anyway, thinking that might get me an actual appointment time. She had to put me on hold for a while to go talk to the dispatcher just to narrow it down to "the morning" (8 am to noon), and even that couldn't be guaranteed. She said they'd call a half hour ahead when they are coming. That doesn't work for me at all. I have meetings and plans, and I can't just be on call all day long to jump at a moment's notice. It's hard to believe that people are willing to do this, especially when you read some of the other bad reviews on AL.

Everything went great, showed ontime, same guy that came out the last time, family owned feel. Their name is on our Fridge.

The replacement went well. They arrived on time and completed the work in a timely fashion. Very professional and polite.

The tech called me prior to arriving and I told him that I couldn't be there when he made the service call and I gave him a credit card number to use to pay for the work he would be doing. When he finished the repair he again called me and said the repair was $272.45 to which I agreed thinking to myself "kind of steep but what the hey, the tenants need AC". When I finally reviewed the E:mail invoice I was shocked to see that they had charged me $137.45 for a capacitor in addition to a $85.00 service fee and a $50.00 charge for labor. My tenant claimed that the tech was there for about 15 minutes. I inspected the work that the tech had performed and found five screws missing from the access panel and cobwebs around the contact switch. Also the cooling fins were still dirty but I can't honestly say if they were cleaned. I called Peterman on September 5th and complained about the cost of the capacitor (real cost is about $10.00) the missing screws, and the cobwebs. I was told that they would call me back after talking to the tech. As of today, no return call. This is truly a rip off.

It went good. He was friendly and very informative. He helped us out a lot to do some things that we could do on our own and some things he could do. He got it done in an hour and half or two hours.

Bob was professional and personable. He did a good job explaining the systems and determining our needs. Price was the reason we did not select Peterman for the job.

I was having problems in one of my bathrooms with a clogged toilet. After reviewing the problem with me the plumber came in and showed me the culprit. They cleaned the area and checked the basement for leaks. Very professional and neat. I have now removed all paper towels from my bathrooms.

Everything went well. Chuck was here only about 1/2 hour and it was fixed! He explained what was not working and answered all of my questions. Very happy with the service!

Great service, quick to come replace our air conditioner during the heat of summer. Courteous and just went to work!
