Once the technician arrived it was a completely thorough and professional job!! The technician asked questions to make sure that he understood what was wanted to be done and immediately began working. He was friendly and very efficient working quickly as he worked to 'cleaning' one computer and establishing parental filters on another. He superbly handled the task of moving computers and linking up the computers and connectivity. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has limited knowledge and wants to understand what is going on. They will take time to explain what is being done and answer any questions that you may have. On the other hand they can handle the most challenging glitches and know the best way to address any computer problem. I could not be more happy with the end result of what they did in my home.

Nick did a great job. He was able to repair the hard drive on the first job, and on the most recent was able to remove unwanted programs and transfer files from the old computer to the newer one. Both jobs done by this company were finished to my complete satisfaction. Whenever I get a PC problem, I wouldn't even consider calling anyone else. I highly recommend this company!

I want to say what an awesome experience I had wiht this company. Nick knocked it out of the park. I had a network issue and he diagnosed it, fixed it, and allowed my Ethernet network to work like a charm. Would I hire him again? You bet. This guy is awesome with network cabling, network problem diagnosing and quick repair. his services are worth twice the price.

I was very pleased with his work and will call Nick again if questions or problems arise.

They contacted me shortly after I made the inquiry here and gave me all the details. I elected to drop off the computer which was cheaper for me, but they did offer to come to my home for a reasonable trip charge. Computer was fixed, price was fair and the experience was excellent start to finish.

After reviewing the favorable reports on Angie's site, we contacted Nick to see if he could help us in the purchase and installation of a new tower computer. He asked us for details on what we planned on using it for in terms of videos, gaming, home office, etc in order to develop the specifications for memory, overall storage, and processing speed. After we provided him with those details he proceeded to shop for deals to locate a unit and kept us apprised of his progress. Once he located and secured the unit we scheduled a two hour time slot for the installation. He showed up at the appointed time and completed the job within two hours. He was very helpful in walking us through the new operating software and demonstrated a number of useful shortcuts and features of the system.

Nick was great. His assistant called us back promptly after we had called to set up the initial appt. She did a thorough job of asking us questions regarding what our needs were, before setting up the appt. When Nick arrived, he set to work immediately.He was friendly, answered our questions. We are 1st time MAC owners. He took his time and made sure everything worked before we left.

This was our second visit in less than a week. We purchased a new printer, fax, scanner, copier combination. We wanted wireless, and ability to print from our portable devices. Nick once again came, was pleasant, answered my questions. Made sure all the devices worked and that I understood how

I hired Nick to attempt to speed up my extremely slow computer when I was at my wit's end with it. He was super knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant. Just an all around nice, smart guy. While he was working on my computer he let me pepper him with other questions that came to me off the top of my head and took the time to really answer them -- explaining problems & their solutions to me without trying to up-sell at all. He emailed afterwards to check in on his work, which I really appreciated. He also did a great job at speeding up my computer and went above-and-beyond the call of duty to explain why it had been acting the way it was. I've been self-employed for the past 2 years and sorely miss having an IT department at my disposal -- I feel like I've finally found my own personal IT department in Nick!

The guy was nice and got everything done for us quickly. I didn't have any problems getting him here when I wanted him here.

Dropped off the computer at his place of business, he checked the unit and also tried to get it running with a new PC board. Unfortunately, the hard drive was bad. Decided to buy a new PC, rather than replace the hard drive. Overall, the job went well, he was very professional and his response time was excellent.

Nick and Jewel were great and very professional. I would recommend them and will use them again.

I'm not sure if I am going to have my computer repaired or purchase a new computer. If I decide to have it repaired, I will definitely consider this company.

Our Dell desktop computer crashed on January 7 and we were getting the "Blue Screen of Death" indicating that there was a problem with the hard drive. We tried to get it to reboot multiple times with no luck. After reviewing Angie's List I selected the PC Computer Guy, Nick Ellis. Aside from the positive reviews and discount coupon one reason we chose Nick was his proximiity to my house and that I could drop off my PC for a reduced rate rather than have Nick come to the house and pay a trip fee to him. I called and spoke to his wife on January 10 and made arrangements to drop off the computer that evening. Nick called me the next morning and explained that a faulty power cable was causing the problems. We had heard an occasional noise coming from the fan area of the computer but didn't know what was causing it. He put in a new power cable and cleaned the inside of the computer. He also informed me that the multiple anti-virus softwares that we had installed on the computer were conflicting with each other and were slowing down the computer. He removed several of them and recommended that we purchase a highly rated anti-virus software and remove all of the other anti-virus softwares after it was installed. He also recommended that we back up everything on a more frequent basis than we had been. Two and a half hours of labor and a new power cable cost us $175.00. He also indicated that the coputer had slots for 4 gigabytes available but that we were only using 1 gigabyte. He offered to install 3 more gigabytes for $120.00 and we agreed bringing the total cost to $295.00. I picked up the computer within 24 hours of dropping it off and it is running very smoothly and much faster now. Nick emailed us the next day to see how things were going. We have a laptop computer that we are probably going to have Nick look at and upgrade if possible.

I guess that I am still raving to my friends about this company. I had used another company in the past for similar repairs, however PC Computer Guy was quick in scheduling my repairs during a busy holiday season, He was informative, efficient, and explained to me in NON GEEK terms exactly what he was doing to the computer, removed viruses, installed Norton, updated all programs and suggested others for quicker internet access and thoroughly explained to me use of new programs. As an aging retiree, I am probably not the fast learner like many, however I found him to be very patient and informative. I loved working with him and wish him success. I got his name from Angie's list and called his company, then later that very day I received my Angie's book to discover that he had received a full page write up for excellent service. I can certainly attest to the quality service that I received.

rWhen we first called Nick ,someone that could help us answered the phone. Then when we talked to Nick,he gave us the choice of buying our own computer or he would get us one. We let him select the computer based on our input. He called once he was in the store and made sure computer was ok for us. On day of service he called to cnfirm time, and then he arrived right on time. He put the computer together in about 15-20 minutes. Then he went over all features and made sure we could do everything we wanted to do with computer. Also,he transferred all programs from our old computer.

Took his time and made sure I understood everything and did not waste any time.

Excellent! I recommend Nick - PC Computer Guy - to anyone who has computer repair needs....there hasn't been an issue or problem that he has not been able to effectively address or fix! An effective, efficient, and cost-effective IT professional is worth double their weight in gold...and Nick will give you just that!

He came out on time and did a good job. I think he was a little expensive. He purchased a computer for me and I am having a problem with my connections and using my scanner. I am not sure if it is a problem with how he set it up or if there is a problem with the scanner. Addenum: On January 16, 2012 at 11:38 am, I called PC Computer Guy (Mr. Ellis) to perform a service call after I had somehow done something on the previous weekend to the PC he had installed in August of 2011. A female answered the phone and took the message that I was requesting a service call. A little while later at 1:10 pm, I received a call from the female that had answered the phone when I requested the service call. She stated she was calling to tell me that Mr. Ellis would not be coming out to service the PC he had installed. When I asked "Why?" , She stated that she was not going to lie to me and that Mr. Ellis would not come to work on my PC because I had given him a B grade on the installation of the PC in August. and up until then he had had a perfect score of "A". I had my reasons for giving him a B, which I explained to the female on the phone, and I had choose not to go into all that when I filed my report nor will I go into all that at this time. . It is my feeling that in my original report I had stated that he had done a good job (see comments above.) I also stated in my report that I would use Mr. Ellis again. I was not complaining about his rate, although I did think it was a little high, I choose to give him the job and if he didn't charge me for 20 minutes on site, that is his problem, not mine. I stated that I did not know if the problems I was having was with my connections or the scanner. I just want Angie's List member's to know that if you call Mr. Ellis and you give him less that an "A" (which, by the way, stands for EXCELLENT) he may refuse to do any further work on your computer. I don't believe anyone is Perfect, and that to be EXCELLENT all the time is a fantasy. And to NIck Ellis, come down off you pedestal, grow-up and take the "good" grade with the "Excellent".

It was a very pleasant experience. Nick is a nice and very knowledgable guy. I could not say enough good things about him.

Mr. Nick, the computer guy, was friendly, fast and efficient. I am very satisfied with the way my computer is now performing.
