We were very pleased with that. I can't remember how much we spent on that. He did a very nice job with the landscaping back here. We have used them twice so far.

So far - so good. The lawn looks awesome and all of the timming work made a huge difference. He got a little to zealous with one tree, but managed to fix that issue with my neighbor. He went above and beyond - finding some old pavers buried in my lawn he installed them at the front to make a little rock patio. He also noticed that a number of boards on my old fence had decayed and rotted so he sent one of his crew members over to replace those boards. This is the third time that I have used Paul and will continue to use him for my landscape needs

They are very reliable and their prices are good. They designed out entire backyard. They had come here last April and they will be here next month. They know what we want to do with our yard and they execute what is needed within the budget we need. They are wonderful.

I have used Paul for three years and have found his work to be outstanding. His crew works hard and they are all very talented in what they do. I have recommended Paul to several friends. He is personable, does top flight work and always adds a few things as free bonuses which is always fun. They always clean up after the work is completed and the place looks like new.

Paul, owner is very knowledgeable, creative and a bit quirky. He is punctual, professional, busy, but very good with follow up. Project met a few minor snags and took longer due to weather, but wasn't a problem. All workers were friendly, knowledgeable and hard working. We made a few changes during the process which Paul was able to do with no problems. We feel all work was done with solid base and materials. Haven't had the patio long, nor have had a chance yet to use the fire ring. We sit on the patio in evening and feel like we now have a wonderful backyard escape! It will serve as an excellent gathering place for family & friends.

The owner was extremely professional and had some creative ideas for our landscaping. He addressed all of our concerns and asked a lot of questions so he could gauge what we like/disliked. In the end, we chose another contractor who came with a lower bid, but we would call P&K again for future estimates.

I cannot say enough about this guy. He is very practical. I asked him to come out and do a landscape plan for me. We walked around the yard and discussed some things. When we finished he turned to me and said he could charge me for a master landscape plan, but he did not think that we needed it. He took the paper we had drawn come markings on and used that instead. I ended up having to redo over half of the yard, because of some drainage issues. He helped me figure out what the drainage issue was and he helped me to repair it. He re -laid some pipe and helped me plant some new bushes. He helped me move a bunch of things, so that we would not have to waste them. He saved some sod from when we moved some of the garden and he re-used the sod later. He worked to save us a lot of money, but he also had a lot of good concepts and ideas. He was always out when he said that he would be. If he was not going to be out he would always call me beforehand. He had excellent communication. I really think that he deserves the highest marks. I plan to use him again in the future.

Paul is friendly and creative. He does not use email and phone conversations were sometimes rushed. He gave us a good design at a fair price. All the rain put us behind schedule. Thanks Paul!

There's customer service and thenthere's CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was absolutely WOWED despite already having high expectations due to Angie's list recommendations. Paul was prompt, had really sensible great ideas, and really tried to save us oney at every step. He gave us a detailed estimate, breaking down each portion we had talked about so that we could choose how much we wanted to have done. When he came for the initial consultation, I didn't have plans for as much work as we ended up doing, but as we walked the property, Paul made several observations that made total sense and would tie everything together beautifully. My husband and I decided to go through with the entire project - Paul offered a discount if we chose to do it all. The results greatly exceeded my expectations. We had talked of splitting some perennials and hostas and redistributing them, but the way he tied together the various varieties and found "happy" places for all the them amazed me. He saved the sod from the increased tre rings and used it elsewhere to create a new lawn area. He was very attentive to reuse of plantings and helped me choose plantings within our budget. It was extremely labor intensive, but they got it done in three days. He kept in very good contact with me throughout the project and since. We were also very pleased with the price.

Fabulous! Paul is extremely conscientious and knowledgeable and he and his crew do very impressive work. I am currently discussing additional ideas for my yard with him.

In the past 30 years we've owned and lived in four different homes in three different states. Paul Karrer is the best major project contractor we've ever worked with. 'Best' includes creative ideas, on-site supervision, timeliness, tremendous pride in his work, listening skills, excellent communication, competitive pricing (with no surprises), quality materials and crew. My wife entered the project with her own design ideas and we're both a bit picky. Paul listened, meshed his ideas with ours, and the result is a new backyard we can't wait to enjoy. Paul occasionally self-deprecates by saying he's a bit off-the -wall but he's a degreed landscape architect and he generates and evolves good ideas...don't be put off if he starts drawing with chalk or paint on his first visit, he's passionate about his work, he's worth listening to and is a joy to work with.

The original design more than met our expectations and we are now enjoying a beautiful new backyard!

Paul loaned us hoses and sprinklers for a 6 week time period to insure that we watered the new front lawn and landscape (an added bonus that we did not expect); 95% of the new landscape is growing well, and we have received several compliments on the new landscape look, the colors in our front yard, and how well the new front lawn grass seed has grown. The only issues at the moment are some asters around our maple tree (Paul added these as part of the planting) which don't appear to receive enough sunlight, and 3 ferns in one of the side beds that are not growing well. We have some concerns that the depth of the raised bed around the sweet gum tree may be a little high, but that can be resolved in the fall. Very few issues when considering the scope of the overall work. IF we have the budget in 2009, we will definitely contact Paul and his company to continue with the implementation of the rest of the design.

Paul asked what I wanted, and made sure my ideas were incorporated into his fantastic and innovative ideas. Then his staff went to work tearing out the old landscaping. They leveled parts of my yard, re-bricked my front walk, put in terracing the right way, and finished all detail work.
