It was a free estimate. They appeared to be very knowledgeable. They pointed out some things about the garage, door and opener that I was unaware of. They made me aware of products that are available like a battery back up for when the power goes out. The cost was a little more than expected so we are going to seek another estimate but that could just be because I was ill advised on the cost, they may be perfectly in line.

The company sent an employee for a free estimate first. For both that appointment and the installation the employee was on time. He answered all of my questions thoroughly in an unhurried manner and there were no surprise add-on costs with the installation.

The experience was excellent all the way around; they did a great job. They arrived on time, they arrived with the right equipment, they got the job done, it is excellently installed, the door works fine, and it is a huge improvement over what we had. It was a tremendous job. I didn't shop for price; I went to them because of their reputation.

Our garage door broke on a Saturday morning. Because I had a very bad and expensive experience with a garage door repair company before I was with Angie's List, I called a friend of mine who is in the handyman business. He looked at the door and tried a few things but ended up suggesting I call a professional. After consulting Angie's List, I called Overhead Door. They said they would be out within an hour an a half. The technician called an hour later and was here in twenty minutes. He looked at the door and saw that a cable had jumped out of its pully. He fixed it in ten minutes and oiled the track. He also told me how to prevent this from happening again (oil the track). The technician, Steve Dunn, was very professional, competent, and personable. I asked him about a new garage door (he didn't bring it up) and he explained the types and costs. When I'm ready to buy a new one, I'll go to Overhead Door. It was a very good experience. I was relieved.

Overhead door immediately sent out another guy and I told him to look at the rubber. The guy came out right away and fixed it without a problem. I was upset at first but they came back out and fixed it right away. It turned out great.

Called them Monday morning and ttey came 3pm that afternoon. Replaced spring and lubricated door in 30 minutes or less.

The vertical support piece where the garage door opener attaches to the inside of the garage door had bent and pulled loose. Because of this the door would not open or close. The repairman just straightened it out and re-screwed it into the door which took about 5 minutes. I had hoped he would replace the bent piece and attach it in a more secure way but he said that could not be done. The only other option was to replace the entire top panel of the door which would cost much more . He also indicated that the current repair probably would not last and I would have to replace the panel eventually. I asked him to make sure everything was adjusted correctly and working smoothly before he left. He just opened and closed the door a couple of times and said everything looked fine. I asked why the chair was hanging so low and he said that a pience on the opener (the bushing?) was wearing out and that it could not be adjusted. My biggest frustration was that there was a miscommunication concerning when the company would come to do the work. When I called to request service, I was told they would call the next morning and give me a 2-3 hour window for the repairman to arrive. I specifically told them that I had to have a minimum of 45 minutes notice in order to be there. I never received the morning call about the approximate time. I only got a call when the repairman was already on his way to my house. I was told he'd be there in 20-30 minutes. I explained I could not be there for at least 45 minutes so they asked if I wanted to reschedule. As I'd already rearranged my work to be open that day, I could not reschedule. They DID wait for me but it would have been better had they called in advance.

I called the company at approximately 1:30pm and they had a repair person at my house at 3:00pm. It took about one hour for him to complete the work.

Our garage door wouldn't open - just bounced open and closed. Called Overhead door around 4 pm on Monday and was scheduled between 9 and 1 on Tuesday. Received call 45 minutes out and technician arrived around 10:30. Got right to work and 30 minutes later the garage door opened and closed normally. Told me that was a common issue with garage doors.

We've used them for a number of years and we have been very happy with them. Their prices are excellent. We will continue to use them.

Our garage spring broke. The door would not go up or down. I called Overhead door, got an appointment the very same day, they called before coming out to let me know when to be home. Eric was so kind, so professional and efficient! They offer an email reminder to have your door serviced yearly. I signed up! Thank you Overhead Door and Eric Benson!!!

If you read my review, you'll see that I am 100 % satisfied and so happy to have my garage door in better condition than when I moved into the house 13 years ago. I don't have one bad comment to make and thank you so much for your perfect service.

Painters were getting ready to work on our exterior. The condition of our old door warranted a replacement and Overhead was able to come out the next day to measure and have a new door in by the time the painters started a few days later.

I phoned the company and a receptionist I spoke to gave me the details of the company policy. She stated that just for an estimate for a repair it would be an initial and gt;$90 trip charge, plus parts and labor with a minimum labor time, and a second trip charge for the actual repairs. However if I purchased a new door of course the estimate would be free. I find this policy appalling and would not do business with a company that would put a home owner in need in such a bind.

It has been four months and the door raises and lowers properly.

They fixed the problem beautifully. They were very prompt. They are nice and pleasant people to work with.

Steven arrived on time and got right to work. He found a couple of issues that needed adjustment. The door is now so quiet I don't hear it open when I'm in the house. Very professional, very courteous. He really knows garage doors. I'll call for my annual check-up again next year.

Very happy. Good communication with us about returning calls, appointments, delivery, ... Our installer noticed a scratch (we didn't even see it). He ordered a new panel and they took care of it. no problems. I would say they 'went the extra mile'.

They did a very thorough job. They fit them well. Each storm door was a different size. I was impressed with their installation. They were on time.

We had an issue with garage door panels; the builder agreeing to replace one. The first gentleman let us know they should all be replaced; covered under warranty. They replaced the motor head on the one car opener. They did replace all of the paneling too. On the third visit they let me know this motor head needed replaced. (I think this is the door that was used heavily during home construction). I spoke with Steve Riggs; he let us know that once we had our driveway repoured to have him come out; something might need adjusted. I attempted to call them twice, with no response. I called back into the office for a third attempted call; no response. I thought maybe they were on vacation or something. They did, however call back. To this point they have reached back out, and have taken care of any and all issues I had with the garage door. Everything is fine now. Price is N/A as this was all part of our custom home contract. I would like to thank them for sticking with us, and not giving up until everything was resolved to my satisfaction.
