Nu Sash was supposed to remove damaged fascia and soffit and replace and put up new gutters and paint. To the tune of $7000. They did not remove old soffit, just installed over top of existing, the gutters were not installed correctly and caused damage before they came back to reinstall (4 times), the painters left after 1 coat and I had to ask for them to come back to second coat. Damages to 2 decks that were recently stained due to ladders and disregard to property. Nu Sash insisted that the damages were there prior, even though I just stained them last fall and we have only lived here a year. Never did we see a project manager that overseen it all, with 3 different contractors we had to babysit to make sure the work got completed. Nu Sash was paid 1/2 upfront, offered no reduction after all the damages and the fact that it took 2 months to complete and insisted on payment before work was even completed. They sold us product that would not work with our house, we had to have gutter guards cut off the front after discovering they wouldn't work with the pitch. Very low budget contractors being portrayed as a family owned business that was obviously a lie. Avoid this contractor at all costs. Their professionalism is rancid. We have photos, video and evidence of text conversations if you would like further reference as to their behavior through our ordeal. If you are interested in hearing more, contact me at 608-343-3276.

I had a really bad experience with them so I would not recommend them. He came to do a bid and he didn't bring any samples, he didn't bring any brochures, and he didn't bring any business cards. I told him that I had these chemical problems and I wanted to know what chemicals were in his windows. He had no information on it and then he went into a hard sale about, and then I said I can't do it today because I want to do some research and he kept pushing and pushing and pushing and lowering the price and finally he got the price low enough I thought well okay, I said but the thing is if there is still harmful chemicals and there vinyl windows, if it has chemicals in it I cannot have those installed in here. I gave him $1500 for the down payment. The next day I went on the internet and started researching and found out there full of all kinds of stuff and just the things that do bother me, so I called them and told them I can't, I got to cancel because I can't do that, I mean take the chances, I mean $4000 for 5 windows. He started at over $6000. They told me to fill out a form about why I'm returning it and that you want a refund. I said don't you have email, they said no it needs to be faxed. I asked them if they would call me back and they didn't. I waited until the following week because I still hadn't heard from them. I called them again and the lady asked if he had called yet and I said no and she said well he should and said that I should have my money back. The guy that has to do the actual refund the guy that has the check, and I said cut the check?, you mean you can't put it back on my credit card?, no, we have to send you a check. I said okay. Almost another week went by and I called him and I said where's my stuff? and she said well he hasn't been in the office, he's coming back tomorrow. I got the biggest run around, I think it was almost a month before I got my $1500 back.
Description of Work: They gave me a bid to put windows in until I did research on the windows and cancelled the order.

They came on time and did a wonderful job of installing the windows and patio door. The only problem was that I called to request a price for a new entry door about a week after I ordered the windows and never got a reply back. Then when they came to install the windows the person who does the measuring for the replacement windows took the info for the new entry door and said he would probably get back to me that same day but 10 days later and have not heard back.

On Thursday, November 20, 2014, one of their representatives left a door ad on our inner door. The initials "JJC" were written on the flier. Unfortunately, this person did not close our screen door when s/he put the door ad on the inner door knob. As a result, when we returned home, we discovered that the wind had taken the door and banged it against the wall. This caused the screen door frame to be damaged in two places: the outer frame and the inner wood frame. On the inner wood frame, one of the two stoppers has been yanked out of the wood frame. I tried to contact the company twice, but the company would not get back to me. I invited them to inspect the damage for themselves.

Kevin at Nu-Sash came out and gave a straightforward estimate to keep my existing frames and windows (which Bee Window had estimated at $52000 replacement cost with Marvin Infinity replacement windows) and just replace the glass....an option I had not considered before. Everyone.....if most of your frames are good, I highly recommend this option! Highly. His workers showed up on time and took out the old glass of each window one at a time and replaced with the new glass. Took them 3 days. Highly professional and were friendly and cleaned up every day. I am extremely happy with the job!!!! Don't replace your entire window if you don't have to!

We really like the new windows and we have noticed that we can open the curtains and we do not feel any heat from the sun. We enjoy having windows that we can open freely and be able to look out and not have the summer heat beating in on our furniture. It took longer than we thought it should to replace a screen, a replacement post for the patio door and screw covers for some of the windows that were missing when they did the install. Other than that we have been very happy with the new windows. We would definitely use them again.

In the Spring of 2011 Nu Sash contacted my mother to provide an estimate for window replacement. She spoke with them at that time, and indicated she was not interested in pursuing their product(s) or service(s). On 11/29/2011, Dale Fuller with Nu Sash came to my mother's home to make another sales pitch, and while in her home Mr. Fuller allegedly stole jewelry and other items from my mother's home. Report #11-0175962-0000 was filed with IMPD, and my mother called Nu Sash to speak with Mr. Fuller's supervisor. She spoke with Ron Mceey, a supervisor, who said he was not surprised that Mr. Fuller allegedly stole personal items from a customer, as Mr. Fuller was known to be having financial difficulties. At no time did Mr. Mceey or any other Nu Sash representative offer to compensate my mother for her loss. Nu Sash and their representatives are no longer welcome at my mother's home, or the home of any of our family members, and their company is completely unprofessional and dishonest in our opinion. Their actions speak loud and clear, and we cannot recommend this company to anyone! 12/15/2011 Update: On 12/14 a Nu Sash Representative called my mother, and claimed that Mr. Fuller was given the equivalent of a polygraph test similar to what the IMPD would administer, and that he passed this test. The Nu Sash representative also questioned my mother's claim and memory RE the events of 11/29/2011. Again, highly unprofessional conduct on the part of Nu Sash. This company is never welcome in our family member's homes going forward.

From start to finish NuSash was very professional and everything went as planned with no complications! Our experience with NuSash was Excellent and we would strongly recommend NuSash for any of your home improvement needs!
Description of Work: NuSash Installed 14 replacement windows. I was contact by a gentleman that stopped in my neighborhood and I set an appointment. My sales representative, Deborah Harris arrived at our house on time and was dressed very professional. I was impressed with her knowledge and suggestions.Deborah explained all the features and benefits of the NuSash window. She also made suggestions on what windows would look the best and would be the most cost effectiveness, We had 2 other companies come and give us a price. We were also very pleased on how neat and professional the installers that did the work. Bob and his helper worked very hard and did a fabulous job. We have noticed with our new windows that our home is much cooler and more comfortable. We were very surprised how much the windows reduced the outside noise. That was a plus!

Ron McKee (owner), Rick Myer (General Manager), and Steve Craft (Manager, Construction). These people have been unavailable and unresponsive to my phone calls and reasonable request to be kept in the loop regarding the completion of my egress window. This window was fully paid for in February. It is not yet complete. $2600.00 of flood damage has occurred to a water free and completely remodeled basement. In early spring, before the massive rains, I contacted the company about the open pit. A representative of NuSash, I no longer remember who, came and examined the job and said it was complete and that I was in error to believe that an egress window should be covered. After all, it is for egress. But Rick Myer, the General Manager, came to our home the first of June and viewed the damage. He told us that the job was not complete and that he wished we had called sooner. We did call sooner, and the company had washed its hands of us. Now we are still repairing damage at this address. We have sliced caulk, removed floor molding and shoe molding, drained hundreds of gallons of water from behind brand new drywall, etc. We are afraid to finish our job because NuSash has not finished theirs.. This complaint is not about the fact that ‘the parts are on order….’. This complaint is about the fact that no one there seems to realize that I am a customer, not an adversary. I wanted a simple answer…. ‘when do you anticipate delivery?’ and ‘do you care at all???’. I have been a professional woman all of my life, and I hired NuSash to do this work based on a long-time excellent reputation in this area. Their reputation no longer seems important to them, which I fail to comprehend in this day of financial turmoil. The simple return of a phone call (just one – I’m not a stalker) would have helped. My husband sat in the NuSash office yesterday (the end of July) to try to get an answer from someone. He finally met with the owner, Ron McKee, who was unconcerned and unprofessional. This company has put us in an adversarial position. I may have to haul them into court, and I have let the BBB know that this is an unresolved issue. I made 3 very reasonable requests: 1. Keep me in the loop. They know how to contact me and will not. 2. Complete the job adequately. 3. Make an offer to pay for, or help pay for, the cost of repair on my home. The cost of inconvenience and insult cannot be recouped.

They came out and seemed to be very professional and knowledgeable. However, they did not give me the estimate that day and I was told I would receive it in the mail. It still did not come and each time I called I was given another excuse as to why the estimate had not shown up.

They basically took out all of the existing studs and tore down a wall to open up some area. They basically did everything. They were pretty good but were a little slow with a couple of things. When they came to talk about doing the work we were a little hesitant, but when they came to actually do the work they seemed to know what they were doing. That stood out to me. They did a pretty good job. There were a couple of items that we had to clean up ourselves, but that wasn't a problem.

I have an older house (built in 1960). The windows and sliding glass patio door were aluminum. To put it mildly, they were in terrible shape. The sliding door was corroded and frozen shut. All the windows were either broken, missing parts, or absent (1). My main concern was the sliding door. The salesman, Steve Carnal, was straightforward and to the point. I was very apprehensive at first but he put me at ease. I could not afford getting all windows replaced at once, so I decided to have the door replaced as well as two windows. The installers arrived on time and were very professional. They removed the sliding glass door and rebuilt the section of the home to accomondate the new door. I finished the remodeling of the sliding glass door myself. I plan to use NuSash in the future to replace more windows.
