Mr Window Inc

We received quotes from 3 companies. The salesman from Mr. Window, Chris, was great at addressing our questions and keeping our budget in mind. Mr Window was not the cheapest quote, but we weren't going on price alone. The quality of the sample window was impressive and we liked that they are a locally owned and operated company. Chris was direct but we didn't feel pressured like we did with other sales people. Chris measured our windows the day of the initial meeting at our home and we had a quote in our hands before he left. Our windows arrived almost 3 weeks earlier than we expected and the installation only took a day and a half (two teams worked at the same time.) You can tell that these installers work together a lot as they were SO efficient. They took down our window covering and replaced them when they were done. This process was as painless as I could have imagined and I love the way the windows look.

Our old wood frame windows were from the 1970's when our house was built. They were "double paned" but the outer pane was not sealed and was held on by clips. A past owner had installed aluminum storm windows on the outside which looked bad and were impossible to operate. The wood windows did not seal well. Several had broken counterweight mechanisms and would not stay open. When the bottom sash of the window in our family room fell out at my wife's feet when she tried to open it we decided to replace all the windows with vinyl. We looked at the windows at the Mr. Window showroom in Carmel to get an idea of what the windows would look like. Chris, our salesman, came out to the house and counted and rough measured the windows. He spent a lot of time going over the numerous options for brand of window, color, type of glass, grids, screens and gave pros and cons for the two higher end lines of vinyl windows they mostly sell: Sunrise Restorations and Okna. He was willing to cut us a deal on some of the options on the door because we combined it with the windows. He was slightly "high pressure" as it was the end of the month but he was still very nice to work with. Once we decided on the windows the owner Mick Widmeyer came out and did the final measuring which took ~30 minutes. They estimated 6 weeks for delivery of the windows from the mfg and were right on. The installation took 2 days for the windows and 1/2 day for the door with two installers. The installers are full time employees of Mr. Window, and have tons of experience. They are very fast. One installer got stung in the face by a bee and needed first aid. He then just kept right on working!!! Most people would have gone home for the day. Chris stopped by while they were working to check on things. The installers left things clean and left all the original interior trim in place. The new windows fit inside the original frames so we lost an inch on the top and bottom and 1.5 inches on the sides. Since our windows are quite big to start with this is not a problem. The new windows are a breeze to clean, smooth opening, and look great. The door is also a huge improvement over our old wood door. Our house looks much nicer from the outside, and we can see outside so much better. If you are on a budget I am sure there a cheaper windows and cheaper companies out there, but Mr. Window is a first class operation and sell a first class product.

This experience was fabulous. This company did what they said they were going to do from the start. Everyone we worked with was professional, punctual, and had great communication. They went above and beyond throughout the project. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend them to others.

Very well. The gentlemen who did the actual install were very friendly and answered all my questions. The actual install took less than 2 hours - they were in and out and project complete in no time, definitely experts at what they do. Also, showed me how to make my own adjustments to the threshold incase an adjustment needs to be done after the labor warranty is out (actual door warranted for 30 years).

After receiving several estimates from window replacement companies we kept coming back to Mr. Window (who we met with initially). The knowledge and professionalism of their sales rep really set the tone for the remaining contractors we met with. The owner of the company then came to our house to meet our family and conduct the final measurements. Once the windows were ordered and shipped to their shop, it was a matter of 48 hours before they were installed. The knowledge and professionalism didn't stop at the sales rep and owner, it also extended to the installers. They began the job on time and within the estimated time frame. Prior to beginning the installers explained the process of removing the old windows and installing the new. Additionally, they provided insight into the windows and their function/hidden features. Following the installation and clean-up, the installers provided us with and reviewed our warranty information and customer service policy. Overall, Mr. Window's personnel (adminstrative and installers) were extremely professional, knowledgable and curteous.

I had about 5 different contractors come out to give me estimates. I had done months of research into which type of windows I wanted (vinyl versus wood versus fiberglass) and knew ahead of time what a fair price was and what wasn't a fair price, so I was extremely happy when the Mr. Window guy came out and assessed my situation and gave me a very reasonable price right up front. No hassle, no upselling (I got both hassle and upselling for many other salesmen that came out to give estimates). The estimate: Mr. Window did a great job of being straight forward, answering my tough questions directly and without trying to dodge them. I like that they seem to use a dedicated team of installers instead of just putting out the installation job to the lowest bidder once they get my contract like I know some of the other people I spoke to do. The installation: Above my high expectations. The windows got in about a week and a half early which was great. Setting up installation was easy and they were very flexible with the dates. I didn't have to do anything! They showed up, moved stuff that was in the way, removed window hangings, installed the windows and put everything back EXACTLY how it was before (they even seemed to have remembered which curtains were drawn and which were closed because even those were back how we'd had them in the morning). Very impressive attention to detail. I would definitely recommend Mr. Window.

the men arrived on time. they were very professional. knew what they were doing. completed job completly and clean up when done. we were very pleased with the work done and the work routine used by the men...

The whole purchasing experience was overall very positive. Mr Window has a very nice showroom in Carmel where you can go and see the products first hand which was a big plus for us because we were struggling with the decision to go with wood or vinyl windows. We decided to go with the Restorations vinyl windows that Mr Window carries because we felt that it was a very nice product. We compared these windows to other vinyl and wood windows and you can hardly tell the difference between them. We compared these windows to other vinyl windows and the Restorations product really stood out to us as far as looks and quality. We ended up paying slightly more for the Restorations windows as compared to what other companies were offering but the minor cost difference was well worth it for the product we got. We still need to replace all of the windows in the first floor of our home and we will be purchasing the Restorations windows for that as well. We have no regrets going with the vinyl windows and feel like we got a very nice product for the money. Everyone we dealt with throughout the process was very professional and easy to work with. The windows came in quickly once ordered and Mr Window called us as soon as they got the windows in to schedule the install. The installers arrived promptly and got to work right away. The installation took a little over 3 hours which was very quick considering the amount of work they did with two men. They were careful to cover everything while they were working and cleaned up after themselves inside and out when they were done. We are very pleased with the quality of the windows and the quality of the work that was completed and we will use Mr Window again to do the rest of the windows in our home in the future.

They provide a good product and very good service. They are not super cheap but it was definitely a fair price.

When we purchased the home, we were told that some of the newer windows had been installed by Mr. Window, so we considered them for the replacement of a few more windows, and after pricing other companies alongside Mr. Window, we realized that for the product we wanted, they were still the best. So we worked with them, and every step, from getting the windows measured and ordered, to scheduling installation, to the installation itself and settling the bill, was carried out without a hitch, and everyone we dealt with there was friendly and knowledgeable.

My wife and I have been shopping for replacement windows for over a year. We have a large four window unit in our living room that had a lot of additional wood trim that gave a look we wanted to maintain. Virtually all the windows we had seen didn't measure up to what we wanted. We visited Mr. Window in April and their display was exactly what we wanted. The salesman visited our home and gathered rough measurements to prepare our proposal. The numbers were excellent, very competitive and pretty much what we had planned. Once we agreed to proceed, the owner, Mick Widmeyer, made exact measurements and explained window by window how the job would be handled. When the windows arrived from the factory, the date of installation was set. Installation took a little less than two days and saying it was a great job would not do it justice.The workers ran the job like clockwork, made minimal mess and cleaned up immediately around each window. They removed window shades, curtains and drapes where necessary and replaced them immediately. We use Angies List to help choose the best contractors around when we need them. Mr. Windows crew are the best we've every had working at our home. Neat, clean, timely, professional A+ all the way around. My wife's parting comment to them was to thank them for such a wonderful job and couldn't they also do some of the other stuff she was planning like new carpeting and refinishing a hard wood floorWe would recommend Mr. Window to anyone who wants a quality job and quality product!

Mr. Window was an excellent company to use. Their salesman met with us on our time schedule. He kept us informed with the progress of the order and installation was very close to the projected start date. Installation took place over 2 days and all windows look fabulous! Everything was caulked beautifully and is a very neat and professional job. I can honestly say this was one of our easiest projects on our house we have done yet!!

sales person was very helpful detailing all the options for the large window area on the front of our house. Chris spent as much time as I needed to help determine what would look the best, and I did not feel rushed by him or pressured to make a decision. He gave me his professional opinion on what would look the best when I asked. Installers were very nice and professional. They cleaned up when finished. There was a small area that I wanted fixed a few days later and they had an employee out quickly to fix it. Windows look nice and work well.

The experience was great. Chris P. and Mick W. were prompt, courteous, and took the time to price out different options for different types of windows (wood-clad vs. vinyl) and to explain the type of window that would best fit our home while keeping the look appropriate to the period of our home.

I called Mr. Window to get an estimate. Their estimate was a bit high but because of their "A" rating and the personable salesman I decided to use them. They said the job would only take a few hours and they would have it done in one day. The window came in about a week earlier than they estimated. They called to schedule a time to install the window. When they arrived the installers informed me that the screens and trim had not arrived and that they would need to come back at a later date (remember they said they could have it all done in one day). This would mean more time off of work for me. If, when the salesman called to schedule the install, he would have told me this I would have put it off until all the material were in. I was not given that option. After the window was installed and the installers left I noticed damage to a built in wooden chess that sits just in front of the window. The chess has a wood flip up lid and there were BIG gouges in the top that were not there before. They had gouged it while installing the window. To make matters worse, I had asked the installers if they wanted me to cover the chess top before they begin the install. They replied "We'll handle it". I called the salesman to report the damage. He was sympathetic and said they would do what they had to do to make it right. To their credit they kept their promise and ended up making a brand new top piece. The gouges were too deep to sand out. At the end of the day, I'm happy with the end results. However, for a company with such a high Angieslist rating these problems should have been avoided.

I received estimates from four similar companies representing a wide range of products and makers. Our Mr. Window rep met me at my home, took quick count and measurements of what i wanted replaced, discussed options, and then gave me an overview of their offerings. He followed up a day later with estimates based upon my initial feedback. Sales rep and owner were clear on products and options they offered as well as their experience with various products and recommendations. I visited their office/showroom and found a good selection of their product offerings set up which provided me a great look at the actual product and how it might look installed rather than just a picture or carry-in sample. Based upon their recommendations and my own independant research, I chose a vinyl product (color match exterior to match my siding and wood grain finish inside) from Sunrise Restorations. Once we agreed upon product, services, and price, the owner and my rep followed up to take the actual measurements and got the windows ordered from the manufacturer. They let me know lead time would be approx 6 weeks. About 6 weeks later i got the call that they were unloading my windows at their shop and could start the following day if it worked with my schedule. Two days later i had a house full of beautiful new windows. they did identify that they had delivered the wrong color trim to my site and the manufacturer was expediting delivery of the correct trim. I was notified immediately of the issue and given their plans of addressing it. The trim arrived a few days later and the installation crew had it installed in a few hours. Post installation the install crew walked through each room with me to explain how to work the new windows, what to expect, answer any questions, and address any issues. My sales rep followed up after the install to finish our paperwork, set up final payment, and ask if there were any issues or questions he could address. Both sales and installation scheduling was clear and punctual. Good communication regarding status of order/project. Installation crew as great. the guys were obviously experienced, professional, worked well together, and a fun doing it. From start to finish I feel I received quality service at a fair price. I do not hesitate to recommend this company and it's people and I will use them again should I have the need.

Everything went very well. From the time of the presentation to the finished product. Very professional. They even put up the blinds that they took down to replace the windows. We are already noticing the difference. I would not hesitate on using them again.

Michael was very responsive and easy to work with from the start of our project. He came our to our house to do initial measurements and provided us with a quote within one business day. Other providers we looked at required follow-up on our part but Michael stayed on top of the project throughout. Once we decided to move ahead, the owner came out to do detailed measurements. The installation crew was excellent and prompt; though our windows required more labor than originally estimated to remove, the team still finished our entire house within 3 days. Our new windows look great and we can already notice the difference in the level of insulation (heat and sound) vs. our old windows.

It went wonderful. We signed a contract on 4/12/2012 and they worked the start date into our schedule. They were right on time and explained everything being done. Mick had came out during the project to inspect and talk to us about the work. It was a good experience. They worked with us to go right on the budget we were looking for. I received a great warranty. The experience went great.

It went really well. They came out and did a good job. It was quick and professional. This was the second time I've used them and I would us them again. The salesperson that sold me the window was not pushy and did not pressure me. He listened to me and gave me exactly what I needed.

They did another excellent job. They are professional from start to finish. They gave us a competitive price on a great product and had it installed a day earlier than expected. I am very comfortable with the installers - Mike and Mike - who are more than willing to answer my questions as I hang out and watch the process. Our salesman Mike Sullivan, and the owner Mick Widmeyer both stopped by during installation to see how things were going. We love the door. It's beautiful, quiet and top notch looking. Made my whole dining room look new. We love Mr. Window!

I called 3 companies for quotes, and Mr. Window had the lowest bid for what sounded like a quality product. I found Chris very easy to work with and we made a deal to go forward that day. I paid a deposit and about 6 weeks later they scheduled an appt. to install the doors. The team of "Mike and Mike" showed up right on time, were very friendly and professional, and went right to work on the job. They were efficient, clean, and quick -- finishing the job way ahead of time. I only need to do a very small amount of touch-up paint on the trim around the doors. I am very happy with both the doors and the people I worked with to get them installed! I would definitely use them again!

It west excellent. Mr Window was punctual and was professional. They finished the job quickly and picked up their mess.

Although we didn't choose Mr. Window for our replacment windows, they were definitely our second choice. They definitely have quality windows at competitive prices and would recommend them. The sales rep was responsive, prompt, and I appreciated his no-pressure sales pitch and giving me the best price from the start.

Their installers are awesome, and they have good products.
