Mr Window Inc

Based on the great reviews for Mr. Window on Angie's List, we decided to hire them for a replacement window install. (We also didn't find reviews on anyone else that even made us want to 'shop' them -- and we are willing to pay for good product/work!) Now that the windows have been installed, we aren't confident we would hire them again. Not saying we wouldn't; not saying we would! We would dig even deeper before making a final decision. Here are our reasons for saying this: ^ To begin with, the windows arrived 2-3 weeks late-- bc the factory was behind in manufacturing. Once the windows arrived, Mr. Window was behind in installing -- bc of the rainy fall. Our only concern was having windows installed in the dead of winter when it is bitter cold out. They assured us it would not be an issue (and it turned out not to be). We thought we wld hv the install complete no later than end of Nov. Instead, they installed just before Christmas -- not the kind of December we had planned! ^ Two of the windows were ordered in the wrong size. (Fortunately, the installers discovered this before removing the old windows.) It was another 4+ weeks before they arrived and were installed (and Mr. Window did allow us to keep $2,000 until they were). What really didn't make sense about this is that there are four windows in our home the exact same size. Two were ordered right; two wrong. ^ Our biggest complaints about the install itself are: - We ordered wood-grain 'extensions' -- which is simply a trim pc to cover the old window jamb -- that matches the actual window. The wood grain 'look' of these extensions is uneven -- some worse than others. Brand new, they appear to be faded -- unevenly. After talking with the factory, Mr. Window agreed to reduce our bill -- by only $300! That amount was left for us in a voice mail. Considering we paid $17,851, we expected more of a discount than that!! We will look at -- and be unhappy with -- these 'extensions' for the remainder of the time we're in this home!! These should have never left the factory to begin with -- and should have been checked before installed. Because of how quickly the windows are installed, we didn't notice it until several of the windows were installed! - On the inside, some of the windows are not aligned with the existing frames. And, some of our window casing trim was knocked out of alignment -- which we are going to have to fix. (Maybe this is typical of a window 'replacement' -- we just expected things to be installed 'in alignment.') - We have a bay window with a wooden window seat. It was dinged badly during installation. (We had planned to refinish this anyway due to an existing water stain. However, the installer didn't know that -- and he should certainly have been more careful here!) ^ We would like to note that everyone we dealt with at Mr. Window was kind, courteous, and friendly. Regarding the windows themselves -- We went with 'Verde' vinyl windows. - We love the way they look. They have a very nice profile (which we didn't have on our 27-yr-old Andersen windows). - We were able to very closely match -- in vinyl -- our existing window/trim stain color. - The windows are guaranteed for life. - We love how easily they open -- something our old Andersen windows NEVER did -- not even when new. - We are concerned -- at this point -- with two window panes (same window set) that completely fogged over a couple of weeks ago. There are two other window sets (total 5 panes) on the exact same side of house -- none of those were fogged. Remains to be seen if there's a problem with those 2 panes. - The bottom line on these is -- We won't know how we like them for some years down the road.

The work was excellent. Matt, the installer, was a pleasure to deal with. He was courteous, considerate, professional and did an amazing job. My new windows look amazing and the job was completed under budget. I'm very happy I chose Mr. Window.

We had 24 windows replaced in our home. Because of the condition of the windows I wanted a complete tear out of the old windows. Mr. Window's entire staff was amazing from the first meeting with Joe through the entire installation process. Installers Matt and James (they rock) were very professional, very easy to work with and Matt even worked all day Sunday to get the job completed as promised. It was brutally cold that week (Jan 3 - 7th) but Matt and James worked full days to complete the installation. I am extremely happy with all aspects of the job and will recommend Mr. Window to all my friends. We interviewed several other companies and the decision to use Mr. Window was the right one.

From the initial sales call, to answering questions and providing literature, to installation the process went smoothly. The installation team showed up on time after calling to reconfirm our appointment. They moved pictures, a lamp, and furniture adjacent to the door. They covered everything to avoid unnecessary dust and debris on furnishings that could not be moved. The team members were neat in appearance and courteous in their conversation. After the door was installed the installer and I discovered there was an issue with glue showing between the panes of glass in one panel of the door. This was a manufacturing defect and not the fault of Mr. Window. Without any hesitation, I was given instructions for noting this on the invoice, and Mr. Window ordered a new panel. The company communicated when the panel was in and scheduled an appointment for the installation. That work has been completed today and I am happy to report all is in order. My experience with Mr. Window has been very good.

My experience with Mr. Window has been positive. I met with multiple companies, found a wide range of pricing for similar products. No hassles with this company. Once I committed to the large project, it moved along as promised and very efficiently.

Had six windows replaced. The installers arrived on time and finished the job in about five hours. Everything I asked them to do, they did without question. Great service and the windows look great. I can already tell the difference. No more cold drafts coming in. After installing one of the windows, they took the screen out and put it back in the truck. They told it had a hole in it and they would fix it. I looked at it later and saw it was a very tiny hole. I believe most installers would have left it and hoped I wouldn't notice. They brought out the new screen a couple of days later.

Very pleased with the new windows. Work was completed on time by a extremely polite and professional installer. Great people, no hype or oversell. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent product, great experience from selecting the right product for our home all the way to the installation. Very professional and willing to work with your time frame. Installer was right on time and cleaned up before he left. I can't say enough about this company. LOVE our new windows and door. Made a huge difference economically, cosmetically and functionally. Will be hiring them again to install more windows throughout our home. Have already recommended them to multiple friends/neighbors.

Could not have gone any better. The windows (Okna 500 DX) look nice and we can tell that they have reduced the heat in the south facing room from the afternoon sun. Also, we do not hear the neighbor's dog barking like we did before. The windows look really nice; they are thicker but not as noticeable as we thought they might be. Everyone we dealt with were very professional. Certainly, no high pressure sales tactics. Once we decided to purchase, the windows were measured, ordered and came in right on time. The installers came in and took down all of our curtains and blinds, installed the windows and replaced the curtains and blinds. They had some obstacles to overcome which they did and the windows look great. Very pleased with the installers. I am so sorry, I have forgotten their names, so if anyone from Mr Window reads this, please respond and include their names. They deserve some recognition for a good job. I admit that I had heard a lot of ugly stories about the purchasing and installation of windows so I was very apprehensive about the whole process. But thankfully this was not the case. Would certainly recommend Mr. Window.

We looked at several companies to replace 30 wooden windows in our home. After much deliberation, we went with Mr. Window to do the removal and installation of all 30 windows. We couldn't be happier. Mr. Joe Guzzi, owner of Mr. Window, came and pre-measured our windows and discussed several available options. He is very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about his products. After deciding upon what options we wanted, he e-mailed a quote for Verde double hung windows which we considered very reasonable. A second, more detailed measurement, was taken and the windows ordered. When window manufacturing was completed, the mutually agreed upon four installation days were set. Installers Matt and Devin arrived each morning promptly and their work was impeccable (punctuality gets high ratings from me!). Mr. Guzzi came during one of the installation days to make sure that we were pleased with how the window installation was progressing. My husband and I are thoroughly pleased with the workmanship of the windows and the installation. We would highly recommend Mr. Window for your replacement needs.

Great experience. The company came out and met us at our house after hours, set an appointment for us to come in the showroom later that week (again after hours), and did a great job on the installation. Made the buying process really easy, and had great pricing

I requested written estimate. On 4/14/17 , by appointment, a man with a Mr. Windows card, name of Chris Pasa on card, cell 317.946.8256 came to house, he was pleasant, left brochure with no company info on it. I emphasized I was requesting written estimate, he had my cell phone # and my email address, assured me he would send estimate within the week. I also showed him my security system, let him know someone was always home. It is now 4/29/17 - no contact from Mr. Windows or Chris Pasa. Why no contact? Was it my security system that is always armed or the fact someone is always in the house? Given the lack of follow up I am very uncomfortable with this company.

We, my wife and I, decided to replace 19 windows and a patio door in our house. After search in Internet we picked 5 companies with “A” ratings on Angie’s list. Among these companies, Mr. Window offered exactly what we wanted. Mr. Joe Guzzi, an owner of the company, came to our house in person and explained all details. He also took preliminary measurements and showed us some samples of windows. A couple of days latter a guy from Mr. Window came to our house and took precise measurements. Because this company has showroom, we came over there and looked at real windows and patio doors. We decided to go with Okna 500 windows and Sunrise Verde patio door with blinds between glasses. If you directly compare these products with their competitors, you will definitely see the difference. We liked very much Okna 500 windows and Sunrise Verde patio door. Four weeks later I got a call from Mr. Window about arrival of our windows and a door and we scheduled installation date. Two installers, Michael and Pat, arrived right on time. They were very professional and worked very efficiently. It took two days, from 9am till 2pm, to finish the project. The quality of installation was fantastic! I am pretty picky guy, always looking for imperfections. Believe me, I could not find any. After completion of their job, they cleaned surroundings and hauled away old windows and a door. Overall, these guys did a fantastic job and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody. Joe, the owner, has absolutely outstanding personality, he was very responsive to our requests, he is very knowledgeable about windows, and it was very pleasant dealing with him and his guys. Fantastic company, fantastic people, fantastic windows!

The installation happened within the timeframe originally discussed. The installation crew was professional, courteous, and skilled. They cleaned up after themselves and were able to answer our questions as the work progressed. The work is now completed and we are very satisfied with the results. We will use Mr. Window again.

Provided consultation on what would work best. Offered the option to stain/finish the door ourselves to bring down the price and receive faster installation. Opportunity to visit the showroom to view actual models. Installer was very professional and detailed and took the time he needed to do an excellent job with the doors. Office staff also very detailed, professional and provided quick response to questions.

Pleased with the entire process from choosing the type of door, finish etc. to the installation.

This was an excellent experience. Joe was so helpful in explaining the features of the windows and what to expect during installation. He sells several different brands of high quality windows and has outstanding installers. Shawn and Mike, our installers, were meticulous professionals. It was amazing to watch them do the installation. Communication and promptness were outstanding throughout the whole process with Joe, James, Charla, Shawn, and Mike. We would highly recommend Mr. Window and would definitely use them again. Thanks, Mr. Window! We are very pleased!

Great. Set up initial estimate within a couple of days, and provided an exact price for the replacement door. Price was lower than other estimates. Door came in on time and was installed 2 working days after I returned the call. Showed up early, was quick but thorough in removing the old door and frame then installing the new one. I'm very happy with the work and the door.

Mr Window's sales rep (Chris) was efficient, friendly, and very good to work with. He offered a very fair price which we immediately accepted. We were kept informed about the expected date of the windows' arrival and installation was easily scheduled. The workers were very engaged and committed to our satisfaction, one even redoing the flashing (?) on one window when it didn't meet his standard. We were kept updated as needed. I would call Mr Window first any time I needed replacement windows. Rated 11 on a 1:10 scale!
