Our experience with Mike began when he came to our house to begin establishing the listing for our home. He brought comps for us to look through so we'd have an idea of what we could expect. Then a stager - paid for by Mike - gave us helpful pointers on how to best present our home. We followed her advice, almost to the letter. Once we were all set, Mike came back to finalize the listing. His advice was essential in getting the right price for our house. Twelve days later, we were under contract for our full asking price. Good advice plus good staging and realistic expectations made for a quick and easy sale.

I met Mike at the home that I had planned to sell, in the Broadripple/Glendale area and immediately liked his honest and up front approach to listing and pricing a home. He was well prepared, had done his research, and I liked that he had sold plenty of homes in the area so he was familiar with the market. He offered a reasonable commission rate and he certainly earned it. When the home had sat on the market for 45 days with plenty of showings but not offers, Mike furnished the home with show furniture at his own expense and that really livened the place up. He was quick to respond to all of my calls and he updated me regularly on the progress of the listing. He advised me on some repairs that would help sell the home and even gave me the names of some potential contractors that other clients had used and liked in the past. Without Mike I would have denfitley struggled to maximize the value out of the house and truly appreciated his professional guidance. I would recommend Mike without reservation.

iMike responded quickly to my request regarding the sale of my home. He researched area homes and discussed the various marketing choices. The house was listed on April 15, 2013 and was sold after only a few showings. Mike always responded rapidly to any concerns or questions that I had. After an offer was received, Mike was very helpful in completing all paperwork. The house closed on June 27th. I am very grateful for the assistance and advice received from Mike.

We picked Mike based on his Angie's List reviews to be our buyer's agent for our very first home purchase. It being our first time, we really relied on Mike to explain and guide us through the maze of home buying, and he did a great job of it. He was responsive, very friendly, and always avaiable to answer any questions. He helped us find a house that fit our needs and was in our budget-- at no point did we feel pressured or like we were getting anything but his straighforward opinion based on his experience. He was firm but realistic during negotiations, and the entire process from start to finish really went without a hitch-- which was good due to our limited schedule. All that to say, we are in our new home now and absolutely love it. We would highly recommend Mike to anyone needing a friendly but clear guide through the home buying process!

We found Mike on Angie's List and were very impressed by the reviews. In June 2012, I called Mike almost a year before we decided to list our home. He willingly talked with me over the phone for at least 1/2 hour before I even asked that he come out and meet with us. We were trying to decide when to list our home. We made an appointment and Mike came with a market analysis and we discussed what our home might list and sell for. We liked his business sense and his desire to just help people sell and buy homes. Mike had told us about the home staging consultation he provided to his clients. He suggested that we could call him at the beginning of 2013 if we wanted to get started early with the staging consultation. We ended up calling Mike around the first of March 2013 to set up appointment on March 11. Mike toured the house again and came up with a listing price. He said he would send us a contract via email to look over and would call the staging company to get in touch with us. Within two days we received a phone call from the staging company and arranged an appointment for the following week. Mike suggested that we call or email him after the stager met with us to discuss how much time we would need to make any changes. We had already done so much to prepare the house to list it. However, the stager suggested things like furniture placement changes and ideas of how to do some simple decorating. The stager also suggested painting some darker walls and picked out the color to paint them. Since the winter weather stuck around a lot longer this year, we were delayed in getting some outside work completed. However, we actually made almost all the changes and used all the suggestions of the stager. Four weeks later, Mike arranged to have pictures taken inside and outside the home. We decided to delay the listing until May 6 since I was going to be out of town for two weeks. Mike met us the morning of May 6, we signed our contract and by the next day we were up on the MLS. We had 3 showings the first weekend, two the next week and one on that second weekend. By midweek, we got an offer - just two weeks from when we listed it! It was on the same day as a second showing was scheduled along with an additional showing that same evening. Things got a bit hectic that evening. Mike called and emailed the two agents who visited our home that evening to notify them that an offer had come in on the house. Mike is a great communicator. He was constantly keeping in touch with us via email or phone. We ended up getting another offer on the home the next morning. After talking with Mike we accepted the second offer. From the time of accepting the offer until closing we had a lot of ups and downs. Mike helped us work through a lower appraisal price than we had hoped for. But we had a great inspection report. Mike helped us negotiate a new purchase agreement with which we were satisfied. And, he got us a couple extra days to move out since buyers needed to close on June 7. Listing to closing was a matter of 4 weeks. What a great problem to have, right? Even though it was exhausting to get moved out that quickly and put everything in storage (we are building a new home in SE Indiana), we were thankful Mike sold our house so quickly. Who would willingly want to keep showing their homes over and over again keeping the house in "showing condition" all the time? Not us! Thanks, Mike, for all your hard work!

From the first phone call to the closing and even afterward, we have felt so blessed to have Mike Puckett as our realtor. Mike did a wonderful job answering our questions, showing us homes that fit our needs, and walking us through the sometimes complex process of buying a home using a VA loan. Our first contact with Mike was a phone call we made about 3 weeks before we anticipated arriving in the area to do a home search. During that call, Mike helped us to plan a timeline with the VA loan, answered all our questions, and helped to reassure us that we were on the right track with getting ready to buy a home. Prior to our first visit to the area, we continued to email and call back and forth, with Mike sending quite a bit of helpful information to us about homes in the specific areas we were interested in, and answering any questions we had. When we finally arrived in town, we only had a few days to get through the search process and get the ball rolling. With such a tight schedule to get everything done, we were not sure that we would have time to find the right home for us, but we shouldn't have worried. Mike made sure that we got to see every single home that we had been interested in that first day. We found a home we loved, and thanks to Mike by the next day we had an accepted offer! Mike even made sure that we were able to get in quickly and have an inspection done before we left town, because he knew how much we wanted to be there for the inspections. Mike continued to work with us after we left town, making sure that everything was getting done on time, and that it would be done to our satisfaction. He communicated often with us throughout the process, and he strongly advocated for our needs and wants. He gave us wonderful advice, and he was always available to answer questions. Mike helped us to find our little piece of Heaven here in Indy, and we couldn't be happier. I would absolutely recommend Mike Puckett to anyone searching for a home. For the sale of our house, Mike not only provided a thorough market analysis so that we could price our house appropriately, but at his expense he also provided a professional stager who gave us useful and practical advice which focused on utilizing what we already had around the house. We also utilized Mike?s extensive network to find a handyman to shore up the frame of our leaning garage at a very reasonable cost. Once the house went on the market, we immediately started receiving a steady stream of requests to see the house, and only 8 days after our house went on the market, we received the bid that lead to the sale of our house! Since we have 2 dogs and an infant, finding a buyer so quickly saved us a huge amount of hassle! Later during the prospective buyer's home inspection process, we again leveraged Mike?s and his extensive contact list to find a painter who could come out and take care of a last minute (i.e. 4 days before closing!) FHA driven requirement to paint our garage (note that before contacting Mike I had called at least a handful of painters and not a single one could come out the same day to even quote the job, let alone commit to completing the job that same week; in fact, I was literally laughed at on the phone by a couple painters when I discussed the timeline I was on). Ultimately, with Mike?s assistance, the closing for the sale of our house was completed on schedule, much to the delight of both buyer and seller (and note that this date was well in advance of the closing date for the purchase of our next home which avoided the need for us to carry two mortgages). In regard to finding our next home, we decided to build new and Mike provided his experienced input on local builders to help us narrow our list of potential builders. Once we decided on a specific builder, Mike?s assistance in helping us select construction options for our house that would not only meet our immediate needs but also our future needs, which included maximizing future resale, were invaluable especially since we are first time home builders. Then, during the construction process, Mike paid for a professional inspector to come out at three key points in the building process to inspect our home and to provide us with a detailed inspection report. Again, as first time home builders, this was another very valuable, and unexpected, service Mike offered. Even the builder was surprised that Mike would provide such a service for his clients! Overall, Mike definitely lived up to his Super Service Award winning reputation! When we first met Mike his confidence, candor, experience, and expressed interest in earning our business ?not to mention his highly competitive commission rate- were what made us decide to go with him; as it would later turn out, we were not to be disappointed in his follow through. His responsiveness was superior throughout our interactions with him and his patience and willingness to explain various aspects of the home buying and selling processes were very beneficial. With his extensive network, Mike was a swiss army knife of usefulness which saved us significant time and money had we been left to our own devices. We definitely feel we got a tremendous bargain for all the services that Mike provided.

Mike made numerous trips to the home to answer my questions and to give me some ideas on how to prepare the home for showings. His suggestions were direct and to the point. After we had finished the work that was necessary the result was fantastic....I could not have been more pleased. I invested $28,000.00 in the project and more than doubled that in additional value. Mike knows how to present himself and knows what's the best way to get to the end result. I would say I found the right Realtor for my needs.

As a first-time home buyer, I was nervous about the whole process and did some reading ahead of time. I interviewed a few realtors because it was important to find someone who was highly experienced, patient, and willing to walk us through the process step-by-step. I didn't want to work with anyone that would force me into a decision just to complete another deal and move on to another customer. The very first time I sat down with Mike, I knew he was "the one." He was very passionate about the process and was full of all sorts of industry tips and advice for any buyer. The other realtors I interviewed paled in comparison because they didn't display an ounce of passion that Mike has! He legitimately LOVES buying and selling homes and it shows with every phone call, email, and house showing. He is an extremely patient person that admitted to LOVING working with first-time home buyers. Even though I knew he had several clients at the time, he was (and is) the most punctual on-the-ball person I've ever met! If I sent him an email or text, I could almost guarantee an immediate response! any time I expected a delay in response he proved me wrong twice over! Since I didn't have a very specific geographic area in mind, we ended up looking at houses all over the greater Indianapolis area. We looked at nearly 20 homes and Mike never even minded (even though I was a bit worried that we were looking at too many homes and just couldn't find something that fit, Mike ensured me that sometimes it takes a lot of showing to find "the one" and that I shouldn't be irked by it). Every house we walked into, Mike made sure to reserve any comments until we had looked around ourselves. He gave us tips and advice like what red flags to look for but he never gave his opinion until we had our own. After we toured a property and told him our opinion, he would then proceed to give his notes (which he actually writes down). He pointed out things that we would have never thought of or noticed major issues that would be a maintenance nightmare. Being new to the process, it was extremely helpful to listen to him and learn about home and the maintenance they need. If there was something about the property that just really made him uncomfortable or something he felt wouldn't be a good fit for us, he made sure to tell us. However, he never forced us into thinking one way or another. He did a terrific job at being very educational and advisory without any pressure. When we finally narrowed down a house that we wanted to make an offer on, Mike was there every step of the way and made sure we understood the entire process. Since I was currently renting a house during this process, he even made sure I understood timeframes well enough to advise me when to provide my landlord notice to vacate my rental. The purchase agreement and counter offers went much smoother than I expected, and I can contribute that to Mike's experience. The closing process was bumpy thanks to my mortgage company, but Mike did everything he could to work it all out and keep us moving forward. He was AMAZING at coordinating with the mortgage company, title company, and the sellers (who were also realtors). Overall, Mike made buying my first home a seamless and unintimidating process and he has the patient of a SAINT! I have already recommended him to everyone I know and will continue to do so! I can't imagine a more punctual, patient, knowledgeable, and just down-right fun realtor to work with than Mike Puckett. Do yourself a favor: stop looking around and go with Mike.

Mike was a true professional from the start of putting my house on the market, helping me find a new home and selling of my existing home. Every time I wished to look at a new listing, he was available within a very reasonable time frame. He never tried to sway my thinking or decision but gave his opinions when asked. I felt he was very trustworthy and truthful. This is a big plus when it comes to such a huge purchase. I would and will refer friends and family to Mike for future home purchases!

Mike is honest, friendly and a hardworker. He will tell you the truth about your house. He, unlike many other realtors, will not list your house for any price based on your emotional opinion. If you trust him when he tells you a list price as well as updates that need to be done to your house, you will have no problem selling quickly. We have used Mike twice now and recommend him to everyone we know in Indianapolis.

This was one of the worst home sales experiences I've been through in my 30-plus years as a homeowner. Were it not for the patience, persistence and professionalism of Mike Puckett, I'm not sure we ever would have made it to closing. The buyer was extremely difficult and tested everyone's mettle in the process. Fortunately, cooler heads (not mine, but Mike's) continued to prevail and we were able to finally close on this property. Not only did Mike bend over backwards to get this done in what could only be considered a hostile environment, he actually reduced his commission - twice. He spent hours talking us in off the ledge, even when he was in the midst of his own family crisis. And he was able to get incredible pricing for us from his preferred vendors on things that needed replacing such as the furnace and floor coverings. This sale literally would never have happened without his guidance. Would I hire Mike again? In a heartbeat. My only regret is that we moved out of market and could not use Mike's services as a buyer's agent. I recommend him with highest praise to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the Indianapolis market. Listen, if he could get us through the home sale from h***, I can only imagine what a delight he would be to work with under "normal" circumstances. Give him a call. You'll be glad you did.

When we needed to sell our house last spring, we interviewed three realtors, two of whom we chose from the Angie?s List of top-rated realtors. After our interview with Mike, we were very impressed. He came across as straightforward and seemed to have that rare blend of genuine interest in people and in getting things done. We had to sell our house quickly because I had just gotten a job in Kansas. Mike didn?t sugarcoat the fact that we would need to price our house carefully if we wanted to speedily sell our house in a challenging market. We particularly appreciated the staging consultant that he sent to our home?she offered concrete (and affordable!) suggestions that allowed us present our home beautifully to potential buyers. In no time, professional photos were up on the web and a dozen ?showing? appointments were made but Mike?s care and attention didn?t end there. Because we were house hunting in Kansas, Mike frequently needed to get in touch with us by phone at odd hours, walking though appointment details or negotiating contract details. When a strong offer was made, we were in Kansas, so he patiently worked with us while we struggled to get signatures on documents turned around at the public library, all the while keeping the lines of communication open with the potential buyers. Much to our delight, Mike was able to represent both parties. Because of this, his already reasonable fee was reduced, allowing us to comfortably drop our price in order to satisfy the buyers. We sold our home in TWO weeks and netted more than we had hoped on the sale, given the difficult market. Even the closing, with its mounds of paperwork, was a great experience because the buyers were just as happy as we were (and just the nicest people you?ve ever met). We couldn?t be more pleased with Mike Puckett?s commitment to selling our home and his concern for our particular needs and circumstances. It isn?t difficult to find a competent realtor, but its tougher to find one who offers solid advice, puts their heart into the job, and is fun to work with.

We contacted Mike before moving to the Indianapolis area from our home in Spain. He responded immediately to our inquiries and willingly took us on as clients, sight unseen. Mike did a tremendous job of marketing my home and making it available for people to see. He did a great job of communicating with me since I live out of state. He also had a great plan to price the home to sell. I had it listed with other agents and it wasn't until I came to Mike that I was able to sell it. He also helped anytime there was an issue with the home like painting or repairs. He found reliable contractors to do the work and made sure it was done well and quickly.

We met Mike at one of the many open houses were frequented to get acquanted with the Broadripple homes. While we were there, he offered some advice about homes in general and was overally very kind and thoughtful, but not pushy at all. Before we left, I actually asked for his card, without him ever suggesting it. About a month later when we were ready to get serious about homes, we emailed Mike late one night thinking we might get a response in a day or two. Little did we know, but five minutes later (approximately midnight!) Mike had already responded! This became a common trend as we learned we could ask Mike questions at almost any time and he would make us a priority and either respond via email or phone shortly after.From the start, Mike was an absolute joy to work with for my wife and I. This was our first home purchase and he naturally and easily gave us a calmness about everything through his joyful demeanor and wealth of knowledge. Mike was perfect for us in a lot of ways. We knew we wanted a home, but we just didn't know enough about, well, everything. Mike would however always be willing to sit down for coffee with us to answer questions or point out small things in homes that we might not have noticed. He wasn't pushy though - this was all our own decision making. But like a caring family member, Mike made sure our best interest was always in all of our minds. Many times in homes, he would be sure to ask us insightful questions on things we may have missed. Like, "what did you think of the dishwasher in that home?" (My wife and I had been admimant about dishwasher, but clearly missed that the home was without one or the space for one!) Mike simply would not let us fall into rookie mistakes and was completely willing to keep showing us homes no matter how many it took for us to be happy. All in all we saw around 30 homes and Mike never seemed to wear out! His willingness to be helpful knew no bounds and, fast forwarding a bit in the story, my wife and I now have an amazing home that we feel incredibly blessed to own!

We needed to sell our house in order to relocate. We really wanted to make sure we were giving our business a realtor who was a good honest person and not a crook, and not someone who would tell us our house was worth way more than what it really is just to get the listing and then have it sit on the market for months on end. We found Mike Puckett on Angie's List and gave him a call. He met with us very promptly and did the market analysis of our house and wrote up a sheet that showed us the costs and what our take-home dollar amount would be if the home sold for said price. His commission rate was fair, and we did not bother meeting with any other realtors. We signed a contract with Mike, and his assistant came out to take pictures the very next day. The house was on the MLS very quickly. While our house was on the market, Mike provided very nice flyers and booklets to leave for prospective buyers. Our house seemingly got lots of exposure and we got lots of showings right away. Mike will go out of his way to please his clients. There was one occasion where we asked Mike to check on our house for us while we were out of town, to make sure the house got locked up properly after a showing, and he was more than willing to do it for us. He answers emails promptly and often even late at night. People who looked at our house gave it good reviews/feedback, but it took some time to get an offer. Our house was on the market for a few months, and we got a buyer in early May. We had done a couple of rapid price drops, due to the fact that at that point we owned two homes and wanted to get the old one sold quickly. If we hadn't gotten in such a hurry to sell we very well could have gotten more for it. Mike was always very quick to respond to our questions and always very punctual. He is also very kind and trustworthy. We would recommend using Mike because he is a great guy who is good at what he does and works very hard.
