Mike's Discount Mowing

Mike sent his people to do some work, but they did not do it well. I called mike about it and he send someone to fix it. They have also have 5 scheduled fertilization for my lawn, they did only two and then told me that they were not doing fertilization anymore, and after that, never heard back from them.

They are always accessible. They help solve problems I didn't even hire them for. The customer service is unmatched.

They have to come back because the seed didn't take and they are just saying that my lawn needs more work. I didn't realize that because they didn't really tell me ahead of time, but maybe because my lawn did not take the seed, and so they said I needed more grass or in the form of it. They were still in good service. I plan to have them back in the spring to do the second kind of treatment. They were fast and they fit us in the schedule when they were supposed to. The cost was definitely the least expensive.

It did not go so good with Mike's Discount Mowing. I had him do some draining to work and I did not pay him in fact I went with a different provider. They gave me a $107 turn over for some $700 bill. It’s a run job. It’s so unprofessional I could not believe it. My next door neighbor had used him. Last year he came out and it was Crappy job. I still have a ton of dandelions to my next door neighbor blowing over. I paid him and said he needs to come back to do these lovely dandelions. One day I have to run him outside. I never really looked how it looked like. I talked to him about the drainage for our house and he said it’s $700 with $200 dollars included running the neighbors down spout. This was around February or March. He came back May, he showed up and I was just happy to see him. He had kids digging by hand on the property. I asked him why he would do that after the fact that he wanted to rent out a ditch switch. I’ve never gotten an answer. It looks like hell. I won’t use him again.

Would not recommend, seems to be anger issues and needs to remember the fundamentals of customer service. Business goes to those who do the best work at the best price.

I asked some one to come and water my lawn all weekend and they actually did it! What they say is what they do, Mike does a little more and doesn't charge. They are great people. He does out door pest control, they have taken tree stumps out for me, they have done patios for me as well. They also sodded, and did some landscaping too!

Mike's Discount Mowing is the best lawn care service I have ever used. We have used their services for the last 5 years, and every time we are completely satisfied. Last year, many of our plants died because of the extreme drought, so this year we had Mike come out and give us an estimate on completely changing our landscape. Mike was able to come out that same week and give us an estimate. For sod, mulch, 80 new plants (6 trees), a small fire pit, and a new fountain, Mike quoted us $8,000. We also received quotes from two other landscape companies, and both of their quotes were over $13,000. You cannot beat the value that Mike offers. They are excellent to work with because they are very professional. When they completed our job this year, they were just as professional as always. Mike was willing to talk with me and work out all the concerns that I had. I am able to call them with questions any time, and they respond promptly. My past lawn care services were nothing like Mike's Discount Mowing. They provide honest quotes, professional level of service, and the end result always speaks for itself. Sometimes they have to schedule me a few weeks out from the time I request the job, but at least they are honest. Other landscape companies have told me they would be out within the week, and then had to reschedule two or three times. Mike is honest and you know exactly what to expect. In addition to this job, every other service that they provide has always been excellent. I am a doctor, so I need to leave my house early in the morning. When it snows, they have my snow cleared by 6:30 am so that I am not late for work. Their fall clean-up is also reasonable. I have many trees, but they never fail to remove my leaves.

From the time we called Mike to come and spruce up our yard in anticipation of spring and because our house is for sale, it took nearly a month for them to get here. They were supposed to provide an estimate before doing the work, which we never got. We did get an invoice after the fact, which we paid a couple of weeks later. 2 days after paying the invoice, we received a 2nd notice (we think they crossed in the mail). The next day, we got a letter indicating that they weren't going to service our lawn anymore.
