Description of Work: After moving to a new location and having two business lines installed to the building only (not to the jacks), we needed professional help to punch down the correct lines in a complete board of wires. We could plug in the phone system, but it wouldn't work until the lines were directed to the correct phone jacks. The tech installed lines to ensure the phones would work at the correct location and made sure all was well before he left.

 + -1 moreBE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU WORK WITH MIDWEST TELEPHONE THAT THEY DON'T TAKE YOU TO COURT OR DO WORK THAT VIOLATES BUILDING CODE REGULATIONS.
Description of Work: I ASKED TO HAVE SOME TELEPHONE AND NETWORK CABLE INSTALLED. BECAUSE THEY HAD DONE WORK PREVIOUSLY, I ASKED FOR A SPECIFIC INSTALLER WHO WAS FAMILIAR WITH MY EQUIPMENT. HE ARRIVED WITH A HELPER WHO I DID NOT ASK FOR, THEN LEFT MID-DAY (AN EMERGENCY, HE SAID), AND THE INEXPERIENCED HELPER STAYED FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. MIDWEST TELEPHONE BILLED ME $80.00/HR. FOR THE INSTALLER, AND $80.00/HR. FOR THE HELPER WHO I DID NOT REQUEST. I PAID $500 OF THE TOTAL BILL WHICH WAS MORE THAN FAIR. THEN MIDWEST TELEPHONE FILED A LAWSUIT TO COLLECT THE $300.00 FOR SERVICES THAT I NEVER REQUESTED OR AGREED TO. PLUS, THE WORK DID NOT MEET BUILDING CODE REGULATIONS. THEY INSTALLED WIRES IN THE HEATING DUCTS!

 + -1 moreREPLACED A JACK, ASSURED US THAT THE ISSUE WAS CORRECTED. IT WAS NOT, THEY WERE NOT WILLING TO RETURN WITHOUT AN ADDITIONAL SERVICE CHARGE TO FOLLOW UP ON OWN WORK. THE ISSUE WAS WITH AN OUTSIDE LINE ULTIMATELY. THEYRE CUSTOMER SERVICE SEEMED QUITE UNPROFESSIONAL.
