We are very happy with our chimney repair so far. The workers were knowledgeable, efficient and pleasant to have around. We will be contacting Michaelis in the future if needed.

Everything was fine. They show up when they suppose show. They make follow up calls to see everything is okay.

I called them immediately after I became aware of the leak in my basement. 45 minutes after my initial call, someone was at my door to inspect and give me an estimate for repairs. Two hours later, they had already extracted the water, removed the padding, baseboards, and tacking strips, placed fans, and finished everything that needed to be done at that time. Two days later, they finished putting everything back in its proper order, removed the fans, and cleaned up after themselves. They charged a fair price, were impressively responsive, and completed the work to my satisfaction in record time. I hope that I do not need emergency services again in the foreseeable future, but I would absolutely hire them again.

The installer arrived punctually, re-measured to make sure everything was correct, and work was done efficiently within 2 hours. That included taking out the cemented in place steel door frame, re-cementing a new frame in place, installing the new crawl space entry, and taking time to going over details of the job with us and acquainting us with operation of the new entry door. We couldn't be more pleased with materials and work.

Terrible excuses just keep coming, along with the surprise *that isn't like him* replies. I'm very hopeful that I can come back and change the fair and lousy replies to good and perhaps excellent. They were first on the job site being professional, and months later, it's all excuses and their reasons why the job is still untouched I can't rate the quality of their work as of yet, hopefully I can come back in due time with a positive review, but as of right now, I'd really read a lot of reviews or go with a referral from a family member or friend

I met a representative of Michaelis Corporation at the Indianapolis Home Show. I showed gentleman pictures of what I was looking at and he provided me with a business card of the person on their team that I should reach out to for a quote. A couple of weeks later I did just that and rec'd a quick response setting up a time for an estimate on March 7th. Rick Michaelis came by and we discussed my project and he noted that he would follow up with me within the next week or two with a written quote. On March 31st, I still hadn't rec'd anything from Rick, so I dropped him an email requesting the quote. I heard nothing. On April 11th, I called the corporate office to inquire if Rick was still alive. They indicated that he was. I then requested that if they company was not interested in the work, to just tell me so that I could move on. The person I spoke with assured me that I would hear something back. As of April 20th, I've not heard a peep. The lack of communication and responsiveness by Michaelis Corporation is unprofessional and others need to be aware of this as they are making their contracting decisions.

I called Michaelis for estimates on various projects. The staff in the office was very friendly and prompt to set up an appointment. David Harting came out to check out the basement and foundation. Rick Michaelis came out to look at roofing. Each visit, they were very professional and detailed. They did not make me feel rushed or pressured in my decision. I would highly recommend them and use them again. Thanks Dave and Rick!

Not sure who wrote the review under my account but it was not me. This is what I would really say. They porch was done in a timely manner and it looks great. Wish they would have told us to seal the concrete or if they would have done it themselves but it still looks very nice. The bathroom is another story. It took twice as long as they said it would. The tile work looks nice but the finishing touches are not good. The paint does not look great. We bought primer for them to use first but they did not use it and only did one coat of paint which you can definitely tell in some spots. They also missed a spot. They did not do finishing cocking were needed and even had a little gap where the tile meets the baseboard, we were told "you can handle that fix right?" The outlet cover was not put back properly after the wainscoting went up and we had to deal with that since it was come losing and sticking out. Overall, I was not impressed with the finishing and will not be using them again for a project inside the house like that. Might use them again for concrete work outside.

They were very responsive and started the work the day after they gave me the initial quote. The are very reasonably priced, did a great job, and I would recommend them to anyone.

The gutter staff & painters arrived. Would have liked a little more forewarning of when they were coming, other than that all work excellent. Excellent, responsive & friendly staff! A+.

Fantastic!! Dave was wonderful. He and his team completed all of the repairs timely and to perfection. We have already hired them to do some renovations on our cabin.

Estimator told me exactly what needed to be, what i needed to do to prepare gave estimate, returned all my request to see if everything was ready. Crew showed upon to me supervisor came by to check before and after basement floor was jack hammered drains put in, concreted over, site cleaned up sap inspected work.

It went very well, they were prompt. They explained everything and very polite.

They were fantastic and I highly recommend them. They were extremely professional and went above and beyond what I expected. They took pride in their work and cared about the job. When I had some concerns after job was completed they came out & fixed the areas right away. They left our bathroom & home completely picked up & clean! Great work!

Went well - performed each task well.

We were pleased with the whole process of seeking bids and reviewing different options. We started with looking on Angie's list and selected 4 contractors with a rating of A that were somewhat located in our part of the city. I was a little surprised that there was as much a difference in the prices as we discovered. In the end, we were ready to go with any of the contractors and that being the case, we just decided to go with the lowest price. The fellow who looked at the roof and gave us the bid price was Ron Beaver. He came by the house before the job started to talk about how the job would be done and have us decide the color of shingles and the color for the gutters. The Project Job Manager once the job started was Doug Coss and he made himself available to us a couple times the day of the job and the next day as well. He helped to get the gutter part of the job scheduled. The day before the roof day part of the crew came by to decide where to place work materials and where to place the wagon for the shingles that were to be removed. I appreciated that they talked with me on where to put the wagon. One of the workers asked as to how early they might come to get started. I knew that they wanted to get the job done in a day so I said to come as early as he wished and he said they would like to come at 7 AM. He was very clear to me that if we didn't want them on the roof until later such as 9 AM, they would wait till then. They did arrive right at 7 AM and got started right away. The 2 main persons who I communicated with were David and Michael. We talked several times through the day. The crew worked hard and they were very careful of shrubs, flowers, and trees that are near the house. A second crew arrived in mid afternoon and with all the help, they were able to complete the job before the day was over. I had some concern that working in the late hours with diminishing light might lead to some possible concerns especially at the top of the roof, but it all looks very nice and I feel confident that the job was well done. My concern about working into the dark was also in regard to the ability of the crew to pick up after themselves to find stray nails and debris in the grass and yard around the house. I borrowed a large magnet from a friend and picked up a number of nails and such. That may be typical for a roof job. We also ran into an issue in that our garage does not have a ceiling so all of the roof debris during tear off rained down on our two vehicles in the garage. I shared with one of the Project Managers that they might think about that on future jobs when doing an older garage such as ours which does not have a ceiling. The gutter job went well and it was done a few days later and it was done in half a day. The gutters look nice and I can tell they have the proper slope to send water to the downspouts. My only concern with this part of the job was again finding small scraps of aluminum trim in the yard the day after the job was done. All our communications with the Michaelis Management folks were very professional and we would do business with them again.

Took some time for us to get a date to get this dome and then they canceled on me once. All workers very pleasant and knowledgeable.
