The vendor arrived on time (a little early) and very politely answered very questions. Following his look up the chimney, he determined that no cleaning was needed. However, he did notice some areas of rust in the interior alerting him to possible water ingress. He then went outside and from the ground level, approximately 25 feet away noticed what he believed to be rust and deterioration to a metal part at the top of the chimney and suspected this was a risk for further water entry. He left stating he would email me a proposal for a repair and replacement. He confirmed my email address before he left. For approximately a week after this, I called and left VMs and emailed the office to get the proposal but could never get a response. Approximately a month later, he emailed me with the proposal and an apology how he had misplaced my information.
Description of Work: He looked up the chimney from inside the house and he looked at the chimney (from the ground) on the outside of the house. I bought an Angie's List package for an inspection and chimney cleaning.
