Description of Work: They added a 4 season room off the family room and a deck. It looks and feels like it has been part of the house forever. We ask for a few changes as the work was being done and those changes were made with no complaint and mostly no additional cost. They checked on the progress virtually everyday and sometimes twice. They keep us informed on what would be done next and when. We love what they did and how it was handled.

What appeared to be a rather simple job that turned into a very difficult removal. The brick was held in place with concrete instead of mortar and the pad varied in depth from two or three inches to eight inches. That created much more material to carry away than anticipated. I changed some of my request and the job was much more difficult and took much more time than anticipated. Maple Road discussed the changes and the additional cost and was more than fair in the adjustment. Clean up was very complete to the point that I could put dirt in the area and plant grass seed without any additional clean up or work. This is certainly not the last job that I will be doing with Maple Road!
Description of Work: Removed brick and concrete sidewalk. A much more difficult job than originally anticipated. It appeared to be a thin 1 or 2 inch pad in reality it was a much as 8 inches thick. They removed all the removed materials.

We have used Maple Road for several major remodeling projects and have always had a great experience working with Bob and Joe. On 2-11-09, a windstorm blew over most of our wood privacy fence, which we needed to keep our 3 dogs contained to the backyard. I got the call at work at 3pm informing me of the damage, and by 6pm Bob and one of his employees had obtained the materials and erected a temporary fence.
Description of Work: Installed temporary fence after a windstorm blew over our privacy fence.

The project manager was there everyday and we conferred on what was happening. He worked hard to schedule and reschedule the plumbers, electricians and carpenters to keep the working moving even as the usual old house problem (drain pipes the needed to be replaced, electrical wiring that required more work than anticipated) arose. I think John, the project manager, painted and patched the ceiling several times until he was satisfied. The work area was kept as clean as possible and they tried to make sure that we had a working toilet and sink each weekend. The workmen were all very professional, competent and polite. They were all nice to our dog who befriended them all. We would have no problem recommending them to friends, especially as they were recommended to us by friends, as well as having good reports in Angie's List.
Description of Work: Removed an old freestanding tub that we never used and built a tile and glass shower with a bench in its place. Put bead board wainscoting on the walls and replaced the flooring in our 100+ year old house. Replaced old drain pipes and relocated light and fan switches. Then painted and patched the rest of the wall space and ceiling. The result is a great shower that blends in with a bathroom in harmony with the rest of our house.

Maple Road Construction was one of 5 bids we received. They were in line with the others. We felt comfortable with Joe Wallace, co-owner, from the beginning. The company had come recommended by a friend. John Wallace was the project manager. He always kept us informed as to what to expect the next day or so. John worked with us on scheduling and agreeably worked around previous appointments or even a scheduled 2 week vacation. We did not have to "complain" about anything as the subcontractors they used were excellent. Through the whole process we felt as if they were very conscientious in making sure things were done right. We made a couple of minor changes during the process and they were very agreeable about the adjustments.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of master bath. Replaced all fixtures and cabinetry with some minor design changes.

The project manager John Wallace, was extremely conscientious and meticulous in planning and overseeing the project. He always kept us informed of what was going to be going on and when. We were very pleased with everything they did and would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: They fully remolded a bathroom for us. They took down everything to the drywall and even replacing the drywall in some spots, then installed new vanity, countertops, etc.

Overall, it was pretty painless. None of the demolition was started until all material was sitting in my garage. The job wasn't big enough for a dumpster so every night John Wallace loaded the back of his truck with debris and took it away. John made sure that plastic was on the carpet; swept every night and had the garage in order. Joe Wallace made picking out material very easy. The cabinet company came to me; the tile company and Joe made the right suggestion for the floor. Joe Wallace or Bob Proctor came regularly to check on the progress of the project. Maple Road Construction made sure I was happy with every thing.
Description of Work: Maple Road brought our master bath into the 21st century. I had a new tile floor with radiant heat installed; new vanity with granite counter and new fixtures; storage cabinet; new shower door; new toilet; crown molding in bath and bedroom; new doors; painting; granite counter on kitchen island; detail molding added to island; new cook-top.

We were very pleased with Mr. Wallace's work. From the time we called him until the work was completed he was professional in every way. He and his workers were always punctual, polite and focused. He continuously checked on the work his employees were doing. When he designed our doors, he made suggestions and presented ideas that were perfect for what we needed. When he was repairing the termite damage in the crawlspace we noticed additional damage to the drywall in our computer room. He removed and replaced these sections as well as some wood framing around our entry door that had rotted, even though they had not been in the original estimate. Our experience with Maple Road Construction has been very pleasant. We would not hesitate to use Mr. Wallace and his company for any future home repairs and renovations that we might need.
Description of Work: Replaced rotting wood siding, caulked exterior of house, made and installed custom build French doors, replaced crawl space joists, repaired termite damage to floors and drywalls, sealed areas where termites might enter, as our house had settled due to termite damage he restored it to its original position.
