Scott said he would order part. I called two weeks later and was told it was not in yet and it would be better to bring in the mixer and leave it. As I had once already gone to the shop during normal hours and found it closed, I thought it best to call first to make sure they are open. Left a voice mail message on 03-22-18; no response. Left a second message on 03-26-18; no response..

Took over a month to complete as opposed to 2-3 week promise. Was a cost effective investment versus price of new mixer.

It went great. bought a new knife and they did a great job.

It went great - all blades (including the iffy/slightly rusty ones) were well sharpened, slightly oiled (to prevent further oxidation), and individually wrapped then placed in a ziploc. I haven't used them all again yet, but based on the ones that I used and from past experience in previous years, I anticipate no problems. He gave me an accurate quote when I dropped them off, a reasonable estimate of the time to complete the task (there were many people dropping off blades at the time), and then completed the task well within the time. A message was left on my phone about the blades begin ready for pickup, and I was all set. My only wish would be for one day of the weed having late hours. I totally understand (and agree) with the need for limiting the total number of business hours (one person there, and he's doing the front of shop sales and drop off and pick-up as well as the actual repair), and many businesses in the same category are M-F as well. That's ok. But it would be great if there were one day of the week when instead of 10a-4p it was 1-7p, for example, for those of us with more "standard" work hours. Otherwise - I love the place!

Prompt and froendly service. Knives are super sharp with a great new edge. They provide many services and repais if kitchen equipments. Perfect neighbor business. I'll never ho snywere else. Plenty of parking in front of their business.

I've taken other small appliance there and am always pleased. This is a one of a kind shop and will definitely be missed if he retires as promised in a few years.

It was great. We had a wonderful conversation, he was charming to my daughter, and top-knotch work. Only downside is now I have no excuse to ignore my overgrown hedges.

Since 'discoverying' this company (near where we live), we've taken lamps for repair, clippers for sharpening, a very old waffle/grilled sandwich appliance ...we've been very satisfied and only wish we had known about them before. I don't understand your question "Where was the work performed"...it was not performed at our home address...but since that's what works, that's what I'm putting. Angies List is getting less user -friendly by the day.

I brought an old Pazelle maker that has been in my family for three generations in for repair. The proprietor was extremely helpful in trouble shooting and not charging for items that I was able to do myself. Ultimately the repair work they did was spot on and very inexpensive. I highly recommend these guys!

We have used Neil since he began in about 1970. He has always provided honest advice and excellent repairs.

I was very pleased to find this nice little shop, which was full of gear to fix things and small electric appliances. Although the owner was unable to fix my tea kettle, he had another inexpensive one in the shop, which I bought. The owner was very pleasant to deal with. I will use him again.

I called first to see about bringing in my vaccuum and they said bring it in. When I arrived, they told me it would be $10 to look at it. They should have told me that over the phone. Furthermore, they asked if they could start work if the cost wasnt "significant." I didn't know what they meant by significant, so I had to insist he call me if it was more than $30. It took longer than I expected (4 days) for them to call me to say it could not be fixed. Declining to tell me about the 10$ charge over the phone moves the experience from Excellent to Good.

No glitches. The blender was in and out in a couple of days. Service was friendly.

Based on the previous reports here on Angie's List, I decided that Manufacturers Service was who I wanted to use to sharpen some aging knives. Every good thing you read out here about them is true. It was like stepping back in time about 25 years ... courteous, professional, helpful, friendly ... and any other posititve adjective you can think of. The knives were sharpened quickly and for a very reasonable price. The fellow that sharpened the knives for me even suggested a couple of things to make them last a little longer (these are old knives). I just can't say enough good things about them ... I will sing their praises to anyone who will listen.

I took in two appliances that were very well made but no longer working. They were able to repair both.

They fixed it and installed a new battery and within 15 minutes, I was out of there, and my razor was as good as new. They even cleaned it up for me. In fact, I was so impressed with this experience, that I decided to have them fix an old Oster dog clipper that I couldn't get to work correctly. They fixed that too within a day, at a very reasonable price, and now it works great too! I'm really happy that I found this company!!

Everything worked out well. At my first trip, they installed the wrong belt, but on my second trip they put on the correct belt at no extra charge.

They had it finished in one day, and it cost less than what they estimated.

The owner was up-front about my circumstances.

My appliance was ready to go the very next day. These are very nice people to work with.
