Kapps has been taking care of our lawn for more than 20 years. After construction of our home, the yard was a disaster. They have done a great job taking care of our yard. Today our grass is wonderful, thick and no weeds.

Each year, my poor disable sister gifted my poor elderly mother lawn treatment services. My poor disable sister chose this company several years ago, I even double checked with the Angi's member specialist the reputation of the Kapp's Green Lawn and they assured me that this is a reputable, high rated lawn treatment company. Since my poor sister is only receiving a limited small disability check, so she can only afford four yearly lawn treatment services. My next door neighbor never treat her yard so the weeds are everywhere, out of control, especially the dandelions are in her front and back yard. I was very grateful and amazed that my sister signed up for four treatments, my mom's yard almost never had any problem with the weeds. I am very happy that my sister chose this company. It seems like the Kapp's Green Lawn is using premium chemicals to prevent and hard to get rid of the weeds but the grasses always stays beautifully green. I contacted the manager of Kapp's Green Lawn and explained to Chris my poor disable sister and my elderly mother's situation and asked him to give them a compassionate rate. The extraordinary compassionate manager Chris and office manager Missie gave my sister a 25% discount. Instead of charging my sister for four treatments, they only billed her for three treatments each year. One time I had a minor issue, I contacted the manager, then he came over and promptly correct the issue. They do care about the customers and give a personal care. I highly recommend this company.

I took over using this company from prior owners of our home. They are supposed to do six applications of fertilizer and weed control every 4-6 weeks. As of end of September they serviced our home three times : late March, late May and early August. When I discussed this issue with the service manager they informed me this was because they skipped an application due to the homeowner being unavailable. That is incorrect. The skipped application was only a week delay from the last week in July to first week in August. This was because we have a locked fence and were out of town. What appears to really be the case is this company is unable to service lawns every 4-6 week as advertised. I would not recommend this company going forward since having your lawn serviced every 8-9 weeks is not helpful.

They were good and my lawn is beautiful. They are responsive to the needs you have during the year.

It was just $44 and I lived on a corner lot. They did the front yard, the side yard, the back yard and in between the sidewalk and the curb. I think it was reasonable. Nothing special about them and nothing that I don't dislike about them. They do everything I asked. I don't really interact with them. They leave, they come, they worked and leave the billed and I paid the bill. I have being using them the last 5 or 6 years.

Have used Kapp's for several years, but have never been happy with the results - we routinely get bare patches in the lawn, weeds sprout up every year within the lawn and along the edge of the drive, and the quality of the lawn is patchy, apparently with different kinds of grass growing. I have had them come around at least twice and explained the problem to them, but they only seem to have excuses, which I'm not interested in - I want at least a semi-presentable lawn. As it is, with spring 2015 upon us, the lawn looks horrible, and is an embarrassment. I have just cancelled the service.

We have been using them for years. The grass is very thick and we never have weeds. The chemicals are definitely doing the job. The yard looks great!

For over three years prior, we had used Kapp's. We had a dandelion problem start that we didn't want to spread to our neighbors. That problem was cured. While we didn't see an overall "wow" with our grass, we also had some tough summers (particularly hot, dry, etc). The issue with the dandelions was eradicated. The gentleman who always showed up was 100% professional and did his job very well, quickly and knowledgeably. We sold our house. I called as soon as we went into contract to stop our quarterly maintenance with Kapps, I was told by the person who answered that she was not able to stop it. That I had to call back, but that she would "make a note". I forgot to call back. I called on the 20th of March. I explained we were no longer living in the home, that we had moved out on the 12th. I further explained that the new owners weren't taking occupancy until end of the month, so there was absolutely no need for treatment and I asked to cancel services. Surprise! They had "just" serviced our lawn THAT DAY (note: I wasn't home to know whether or not this was true. The home was vacant, so no one could verify). I was a little startled. I explained I didn't want the service. And left it at that. I later received a call regarding payment for that service. I explained what had happened, and reminded her that I had been a loyal customer for over 3 years, and had given referrals. I also explained we now lived out of town, or I would've continued using them. It didn't seem to matter - they wanted their payment. I still don't even know if the treatment even actually occurred. Seems awfully coincidental that it occurred ON the day that I called to cancel when they knew I couldn't verify. This is customer service at its worst. Loyalty should be met with loyalty. Period. RARELY do I write negative reviews. But I have a hard time with deceptive practices, no matter how good the services may have been.

I was disappointed with them after their first work but then we worked it out and they helped with the problem.

They are great. If you use their service the rest of the year, you can use them to shovel in the winter. They put snow melt on the sidewalks. They come in a timely manner-soon after it snows.

I have used this company for at least 10 years - probably more. I dont really know why because they are and have always been a very mediocre company and my lawn has been mediocre as well. They make recommendations for future work that they are unable to support when you call them, and then admit that they are just trying to sell you more products. They have scarred my lawn with their chemicals, and while they admit it and try to fix it, it takes months for the scars to heal. My lawn right now looks abhorrent with many patches of grassless areas. Neighbors have better lawns with minimal or just homeowner services. Note that I said I have been paying these people for over 10 years to care for my lawn. Last fall they did not have time aerate and overseed my lawn. No time for a 10+ year customer! With the way my lawn looks right now I feel like firing them. But perhaps they would like the opportunity to try to explain why they should keep my business.

I received a mailing advertising 50% off the first application for lawn service including fertilizer and weed prevention, so I called to inquire as to the cost of the service. I was told that I could sign up for up to 7 applications or as few as 4 applications per year, with the first application receiving a 50% discount. I signed up for 4 applications and was told that I would be billed following the first application. When I received the bill, the 50% discount was not included. I called and asked why the 50% discount was not taken into account. The provider claimed that they had stated that the 50% discount was only applicable if 7 applications were purchased. However, they did NOT provide this information when I signed up for the service. Moreover, they refused to apply the 50% discount when I pointed out that they had not provided this information initially. I have cancelled the service and would not recommend them due to their false advertising practices and poor customer service.

We are not living at this home yet, but want the lawn treated. Have always notified us of coming treatments and leave note of what they did. Friendly, informative. Am planning on long relationship.

I did not schedule this service and was surprised to see that it was performed. I used them last year and they did ok. I called them and they said for my conveince the service continues each year unless they are notified. I called them in January when I received my letter stating they would perform my spring fertilizer services unless I notified them. I contacted them and instructed them not to perform any work until I shop around to get the best possible prices. They performed the work, charged my in excess of $50.00, and when I called them with my concern they didn't have any record of me calling them in January putting my services on hold.

They have trouble getting my lawn airation done in a timely manner. I called several times so I could find out when they might be coming (sometimes they did not come at all), they did not call back, and I gave up. Really the main problem is their customer service is not good in the office. I have been a customer for many years. I cancelled my lawn applications a year ago because of how I was treated. I then got a card in the mail asking to get my business back, which was odd, because they acted like they did not need or want my business. The card had a discount for 1/2 off the first application and 1/2 off the last application, so I decided to give them another try. Well, now that the applications are done, they won't honor the card I got for 1/2 off the last application. The worst part was how rude they were on the phone. I mentioned I had been a customer for many years, and was told that when I cancelled last year, and then re-joined that they consider me a "new" customer and that it did not matter that I was a previous customer for many years, how ridiculous is that. It's very sad that they treat their customers this way. I won't use them again and will tell others not to use them.

They were very nice, very punctual. I asked them to leave a note so I know whether my dog will stay in or go out. They left a flag to let me know that they have been there. I paid for the whole treatment in the summer through fall and gave me one treatment for free.

Set up to aereate yard as an ongoing service (year to year). This year on day they were to do machine broke down. Came back next day and worker said yard was too wet. I called and was told not to water and worker would be out Mon or Tues. (9/30 or 10/01) he never came out and on the 2nd of October I called them and the office said they thought he had been out already. I cancelled and will use someone else that I have used in the past ( at a better price) and much more reliable.

I called them after the first time they came out. I asked them to come back, because the weeds hadn't gone away yet. I paid them for a second service. When the young man came out to spread the weed killer and fertilizer. He only spent about seven minutes here and he missed a good portion of my yard. I gave it a few more weeks for the chemicals to take affect. I called them again and they were making invalid excuses; they weren't offering any sort of resolution. Because of this I fired them, and I wanted other members to know about the experience I had.

My husband called to have them come out to put grass seed down do to bare spots on our lawn. The customer service person told my husband that they lay seed in the fall. My husband okayed them to come out and do the weed control, fertilizer and was told they would lay seed in the fall. They gave him a price for the service and we agreed but made sure the person under stood that we was wanting grass seed to be put down in the fall. We seen them out putting something on the lawn so we didn't think anymore about it. Spring was here and no grass was growing in the bare spots. My husband called and was told that needed to be requested in the late summer for them to lay seed in the fall and that would of cost us another $200.00. They said sorry and didn't do any thing to correct the problem.

They came out, they got the stuff on the yard really quickly and left. Also, by paying for the full season, I got a discount.

We have used Kapp Lawn Care for many years. Our lawn is always the envy of the neighborhood since it is always lush, thick and green. We have compared other lawn care services but found Kapp to be the best.

If you are not satisfied they keep coming until you are. I really like this about them. We have had 4 or 5 different services in the past that did not come close to them. We have been using them for 3 years now. They are by far the best. We have recommended them to 3 or 4 others in my neighborhood and they are using them now as well.

Lousy, Got caught by there 1/2 off first and last application discount. They will not tell you when contract is up and continue to come out and charge you. Told them to stop and then they put pre-emergent chems on lawn that had 100$ worth of seed that has not germinated yet. The phone answerer knew that last fall. I got to talk to office manager and they obiously have too many customers to care about me. Gave me 20 $ off, not good enough!!!!!

While we had issues with Kapps when we had dogs that led to my huge disappointment with them and almost cancelling my services with them, they stepped up to the plate and wooed me back. We no longer have the dogs and there are no further issues. I find them reasonable and have referred several ppl. to them.

We have been very pleased and continue to use Kapp's and recommend them to others.
