They were fabulous with the move. They were there when they said they were going to be there, gave us plenty of boxes and delivered on time; everything was great. There were a few dents and things in the furniture, but other than that, we did not have any problems with what they put into our apartment; the rest has been put in storage, and we have not opened everything, so we don’t really know the results. Their price was right in the middle; they were neither the lowest nor the highest. We found them on Angie’s List. We have had some experience with movers because we have used movers all across the country. We really did not have any issues with them and would use them again in the future if necessary.

The day of the estimate, the estimator, Beth, called me because she was lost. She told me where she was and I felt the neighborhood she was in is dangerous and I wanted to guide her out of there as quickly as possible, for her own safety. She was very giddy and didn't seem to understand that she may be in danger, then she wanted to review the directions that got her lost. I knew where she was and wanted to give her the best directions out of there. She then got huffy or frustrated and said she wouldn't meet with me, then told me I would have to find a different mover. It was a really bad experience and I'm glad I didn't end up going with them, especially if it is so difficult just to get an estimate. I would not call them again.

I chose this company because they were able to put the car on the truck so everything would arrive at the same time, I was coming down with my year old son so this was crucial. They had my address wrong and the quote was wrong. My car was never put on the truck and the driver was never informed of it. My car did not get to Phoenix until 10 days later. The rental car they gave me was fine but would not hold our car seat so I could not go anywhere with my child so I only drove it at the most 10 miles. The quote was wrong due to an error in calculating, one box was lost, and I have not heard from them on either of these issues. I am finally going to have to go to the corporate level. It was a huge mistake.

The packers did an excellent job. The driver took exceptional care of our furniture on the move. However, the local (Indianapolis) estimater promised to return, prior to the move, with boxes and supplies and never showed up and did not return phone calls. He also very much underestimated the charge to move a small load to one of our children and we had to pay the difference. At the corporate move end, large (dishpack) boxes marked basement and the top of a heavy workbench were left in the garage and the local Allied agent would not move the boxes unless we paid for four hours of labor (around $400.). The basement is outside, down a hill, and 50 feet from the garage. We are not too pleased about this situation. (We were told the driver would be contacted and that never happened.) Other boxes were left in the garage and the rooms were clearly marked on the boxes. We had to do a lot of moving of boxes that the mover was paid to move.

I got an estimate because I had good luck with Allied Movers 8 years ago. This time just getting an estimate was a disaster.

THERE WAS SOME DAMAGE TO THE CHINA HUTCH; THE GLASS WAS BROKEN. THEY PUT A CHERRY WOOD TABLE ON A DOLLY AND SCRATCHED THE TOP. THE TRUCK WAS TOO SMALL, AND THEY HAD TO MAKE TWO TRIPS. THEY TOLD US THEY WOULD GIVE A $100 REFUND BUT WE NEVER GOT IT. MY HUSBAND HAD TO GO TO THE OLD HOUSE TO FIX THE WALL FROM WHERE THEY HIT IT. THE MOVERS DID CALL TO GET MORE HELP BUT THEY WERE TOLD TO JUST GET THE JOB DONE. WE WERE TOLD THE BILL WOULD BE BETWEEN $800 TO $1000. WE GOT A BILL AT THE END FOR $1400.

THOUGH THEY DID NOT DO THE ACTUAL MOVE, THEY HANDLED ALL ASPECTS OF THE MOVE, EXCEPT FOR THE MOVE ITSELF.

EVERYTHING WORKED OUT IN THE END. THEY WERE NOT ON TIME. THE WORKERS TOOK LOTS OF BREAKS. THEIR ESTIMATE WAS OFF BASE, BUT IT DID HAVE A NOT TO EXCEED CLAUSE. THE JOB WAS TWICE AS MUCH AS THE ESTIMATE BECAUSE IT TOOK THEM SO LONG.

STAFF WAS VERY ATTENTIVE IN PREPARATION FOR THE MOVE, SALESMEN PROFESSIONAL AND LOW KEY, VERY RESPONSIVE WHEN I CALLED, AND SHOWED UP ON TIME!

PRICE INCLUDED INSURANCE. THEY WERE VERY ATTENTIVE AND RESPONSIBLE. THEY HAD A GREAT ATTITUDE AND WERE VERY CONSCIENTIOUS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
