Initial service call response was very quick. Eric provided us with several options and spoke to the positives and negatives for each choice. We decided to replace the whole electrical panel. Luckily for us, Jason and Eric where able to perform and complete the service on the same day...even though it was New Years Eve! Without their prompt service, we would probably have been without heat! We appreciated their politeness and how they left the place clean at the end of the job. We felt the price was fair considering the timeliness, lifetime guarantee, and the 2 electricians devoted to the job completion. We were also able to take advantage of an Angie's List 10% off coupon which saved us some money.

They went above and beyond during their visit. Very punctual and informative.

Process was great. Erich Roeder, service electrician, was very punctual for estimate appointment. Very professional. (Other provider contacted did not show for estimate appt. - called 2 + hours later wanting to reschedule.) We were satisfied with the estimate and scheduled for the fans to be replaced. Arrived on time and replaced the fans quickly. I asked Erich if he would check the ducts in the attic because of some leaks. He checked and they had deteriorated so we scheduled replacement. Overall the experience was outstanding. If I need further electrical work, I will definitely call Joe Schmo.

Absolutely recomend this company. The were responsive when scheduling appointment, professional but engaging on arrival and solved the electrical mystery that was a real nuisance. James recommended a surge protector for the electrical panel explaining the pro's and con's carefully. I felt confident that I was making the correct decision for my house and for the service he recommended.

Quick fix and easy. Found them on Angies List with there web ad. Nice to know a safe and secure company is out there!

1. Eric, one of the two owners of Joe Schmo, reviewed the problems (noisy fan and rattling) with the attic fan and recommended replacing the motor and fan belt. 2. The new motor and fan belt were replaced on Sept 11. In addition, the fixing the fan, Eric looked at our basement sump-pump and recommended two possible back-up systems in case of a electrical power outage. We are in the process of reviewing the cost of the two replacement options. 3. We had priced the replacement of the attic fan with other service providers. The estimated cost from Joe Schmo was slightly less than other estiamtes and the overall service and professionalism of the company was excellent. I would recommend this company for any electrical service and we intend to use them in the future. This company gets our Gold Star Rating!!!

Good. Their work was good, a little longer and messier than expected, but good. In installing switch box in garage they cut a support but did patch/replace it once it was pointed out the board was serving a purpose. The said they choose place due to their code. I felt they should have asked before cutting support. Job site was a remodel, no one living there, and they were a little bit messy, more so then if someone was living there. They did honor their Angie list coupon. They did clean up when done. Did as promised. Would hire them again.

This is the best experience I've had with any service providers on Angie's List. I was previously quoted $500 for hanging a chandelier on a second-floor foyer ceiling. Too rich for my blood! I was perusing Angie's List booklets and found this electrical company and gave them a call. They quoted $165 and I was overjoyed. But I had no idea how happy I was going to be with the resulting installations. The work was done so quickly and so beautifully. The electricians actually made the suggestion as to where to hang the second chandelier and it was a brilliant choice. These gentlemen are obviously intelligent, capable and gracious people and proud of their excellent work. Great reasonable prices. Kudos!!

I called on a Tuesday and explained the task of installing a 50 amp receptacle for our kitchen range. They quoted a price of $95 and we agreed on an installation time of Thursday afternoon. On Thursday morning they called and said they could move the installation up to Thursday morning and we concurred. It took about 30 minutes to complete the work.

Attached and replaced 6 outside security lights to our house. Lights used were purchased by us to upgrade to motion activated lighting. This cost is for installation only. Special ladders were neccessary due to the height of the lights in the rear of the house. Both installers were polite, courteous, and punctual. Cost estimate for installation was fair and competitive with other quotes. I would definitely hire again if an electrician is required.

Very nice but unable to help me due to service I needed was not a service he provided. He was very helpful in reccommending me to another service(turner)who could help me with my needs.

Had them come out and give me an estimate. I am on a limited time schedule. They worked with my schedule: arrived on time, completed the job as promised and cleaned up any scrap material left over. I will definitely contact them in the future if I need electrical service work.

I was dreading doing yard work this year so I had decided to find an electrician and get a quote on what it would cost to get some landscape lights installed. I called a couple different companies and got estimates. After seeing the reviews on Joe Schmo I thought I would give them a try. I am sure glad I did! Erich was the technician that came out to give the quote. He showed up on time and was very professionally dressed. Erich gave me the price on what it would be to get the work done that I wanted. It was a very reasonable price and was going to save me from doing it myself. He also found a plug outside that had gone bad and repaired it for me as well. I am very satisfied with the work that was performed. The work was efficient and he even cleaned up afterwards. I will be using them again in the future and will recommend them to everyone I know.

It went fantastic! I wanted to add some lighting in the living room to brighten up the house. I called a couple different companies for estimates on this work, only wanting to get the best quality and price. After calling James and talking with him, I felt comfortable having him out for an estimate. He arrived on time and was very professional. Looking at the work I wanted to have done, James offered me multiple options. The prices were fair and very reasonable. Once I saw all my options I knew that this company would be my choice. Once deciding on the option that fit me the best, James also gave me information on whole house surge protection and the benefits it offered. I am happy to say that I now have whole house surge protection and my living room is brighter. I am completely satisfied with Joe Schmo. I will be using them again in the future and letting all my friends and family know about this great company.

We've known James for years when he worked at a previous electrical company. We were very happy to help him start his new business with some work to make our house more marketable for sale. This is the second time he has done this type of work for us. He came on time, listened well to what needed to be done, made helpful suggestions and gave me a complete list of individual prices for the tasks so I could make informed spending choices. He accomplished the work the same day and left my home clean!
