Eric did a fine job. He made a gazillion trips from the garage to all rooms of the house to ensure the new breakers were labeled correctly. Eric put up with our need for a last minute schedule change. I will hire Joe Schmo again if I have another electrical need.

I asked James to inspect our breaker panel, install new circuits for a Hot Tub installation, and wire up the tub's power pack and pump. His inspection revealed problems that other professionals did not find, and after seeing the deteriorated condition of the old panel he removed I believed James saved us from a possible house fire. His crew cleaned up the old wiring going into the new panel, and it looks great! And much safer. The new circuits to the Hot Tub were installed very cleanly and the installation looks great at the new tub. He also connected the tub wiring per the instruction manual. He was able to put his whole crew on the job, and they replaced the old panel, installed the Hot Tub connection and wired it up in a single day. The guys did a great job!

Joe was great to work with for a quick, last minute fix to mount electrical wiring between our house and detached 2 car garage. He came out the same day we called him and quickly identified the problem and was able to go purchase the part needed and get the wiring mounted within an hour. He was also extremely reasonable in terms of pricing. We could not be happier with his work!

Punctual. Set up an appointment to review details of the work request. Reviewed detail of work and ask plenty of questions to understand my needs. Wrote an estimate and billed that estimate. Performed added services requested on day of arrival and was fair with the add on billing. Four weeks after work, they returned, at no charge, to review a non working outlet and come to find out, it was a breaker that we had tripped ourselves and still, no charge for the service call. Clean. Professional appearance.

We're satisfied with them. They were very good. They got the work done. There wasn't any delays. They gave us good advice on different routes we could take for the repairs and the service. He gave us several opinions and different ways we can handle each problem we had which we appreciated that too. They weren't the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive.

All work was done in one day as directed. I am very happy with their work quality and professionalism. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I needed the exterior electric supply lines to be secured, some portions replaced to bring the house up to code for sale. Eric responded promptly and completed the work immediately so we could have the power turned on for the inspection. He came back at a later date to repair some identified problems and made recommendations regarding what items we could do safely on our own. We also called him a couple of times and he was able to give us good advice over the phone.

James was prompt, knowledgeable, polite, and efficient.

Scheduling was easy. Erich showed up on time and was very friendly. We discussed the plans and details of the project. He asked for final approval before cutting into the ceiling. He was quick and efficient. Cleaned up and out in a couple hours. I would highly recommend Erich and Joe Schmo for any electrical project. Way to exceed our expectations and earn our business for the future!

Met with Eric and determined the best location for video surveillance cameras. Eric and crew installed the cameras and dvr. in two days and all works great.

Original call was concerning and troubling GFI receptacle. Eric said that unless it was not working during his visit that he could not check it out. He said that simply changing the receptacle may not cure the problem and did not recommend replacement. We had other issues which he fixed as stated above.

The technican showed up a couple hours later than scheduled. The technican did call to say he would be later because of weather conditions. We had two rooms in our home that did not have electric power. I had previously inquired when I set up the appointment what their rate was. I was told that they did not have a 'set' rate. The technican diagnosed the problem and connected the problem. The technican was at our house for less than an hour. The techican did also install a plug cord on the ceiling fan lights in my daughter's room at 'no extra' charge. My wife and I believe the rate has too high. The technican was very friendly, courteous and professional.

My house was struck by lightning last year. After going through the insurance claim and replacing all my damaged items, I wasn't completely assured that everything was fixed and never wanted to go through it again. I looked up electricians and Joe Schmo came up. I just laughed and thought, "What a great name!" I called the phone number listed and figured I would get a call taker answering the phone but no it was one of the owners himself. Erich was very pleasant and listened to my story and the list of things I wanted to get fixed. He got me on schedule and told me there was $49 trip fee but that it would be waived if work was done. Erich showed up on time on the day I was scheduled. Even called me before coming to let me know he was on his way. After looking at my issues I figured the price would be too much but they were very reasonable. I was so excited to have my television working in my living room again. He installed a surge protector giving me peace of mind that I won't have to deal with such a loss if my house gets struck by lightening again. Erich explained all the benefits to me and made me feel understanding of what I was buying. Joe Schmo was great! I will use them for any electrical things I need done in the future!!

Eric did the work and was very professional. He managed to run a new circuit from the electrical box (outside/load-bearing wall) to the back of our garage (insulated wall between the house and garage) without any "collateral damage" to our finished garage. The result was a perfectly normal-looking outlet right where I asked for it to be. There was no BS and the cost ended up being 10% cheaper than he quoted. I got some more quotes for some additional work and am having him out later this week to take care of these other projects. Thanks, Eric!

Called several companies from Angie's list...got estimates and time for repairs. Although this company was not the least expensive, they were willing to work with us on a timely basis and do the work on Sunday afternoon. We are a liquor store and Sunday is the only day that we are closed down(computers & refrigeration system can't be shut down during operating hours). The company may have cost a little more, but it was well worth the extra $$. So far the repairs have been fine! They did have to come back and label the breakers , which was done promptly the following week

What turned out to be a bumpy start was a fabulous experience! I booked an appointment with James for Aug. 13 at 5P. I left work early to be home on time. Come 5:30, still no one. I called James and he said he and his partner had crossed wires, but give him 20-30 minutes and he would honor the appointment. James arrived and promptly diagnosed and fixed the GFI and replaced the circuit breaker. He also looked at a related outlet that triggered all the problems and fixed some wiring in it too. James was very consciencious and professional. Prior to this experience, I had used one of the "chain" electricians. James is very knowledgable and professional. I would recommend Joe Schmo and James over any of the "chain" experiences I've had. Plus, his prices beat anything the "chains" have ever charged me.

James (owner) and his new apprentice Eli arrived on Wednesday to assess the requirements of the job. They gave us two different estimates - 1 was for strictly dealing with the new sump pump electrical supply. The second one dealt with expanding the capacity of the breaker box. Once we realized that we didn't have a need for the special double-breaker, we were able to work within the existing electrical panel and therefore, went with the lower estimate. They did offer to do the sump pump supply work for 1/2 price if we pursued expanding the capacity of the breaker box. But, we couldn't justify spending an additional $1075 (I believe it was) to expand the panel when it wasn't really necessary for our needs. It is nice to know that they would have considered a reduction in price though. They had to drill through from the garage (where the electrical panel is) into the crawl space. Then, run the wire around to the sump pump area. We also had foundation repair workers present along with a plumber. So, there was a lot of coordination going on. We'd planned to get other estimates, but ended up feeling like this was a reasonable price for the work to be done and we knew that they would be able to get to it immediately. This allowed us to ensure that the sump pump which was just installed functioned properly before those workers left. James and Eli were both a pleasure to work with. They would always call ahead of time to let us know when they'd arrive. They did as they said they would. And, they appear to have performed a quality job.

Joes Schmo Electrical al Services were quick to respond to our initial call for service. They were extremely professional and came out the same day. We have had issues with other electrical service companies responding to the needs of small jobs. This was not the case with Joes. Eric was professional and quickly isolated the issue and repaired the problem within a few hours.

I was having trouble with intermittent outages. Erich agreed to come on the same day, and even was able to arrange to come earlier than he thought. He was on time, friendly, professional, and gave me the best possible news: no cost for the visit and it's something the electric company will fix for free! Joe Schmo will definitely be the first on my list for any future problems.

I had been having issues with all the outlets on one breaker in my house going out randomly and then coming back on. I had purchased an Angie's List deal with another provider to have troubleshooting done and was told the problem was IPL's and I needed to call them. After IPL came out to check the issue they immediately told me that the issue was my meter base which my responsibility - something the first provider did not even check when he came out. After contacting the first contractor for an estimate and being told it would be another day before he could come back out and look to give me an estimate, I also contacted the gentlemen at Joe Schmo's for a second opinion. They were able to give me an rough estimate over the phone based on the information provided by IPL and said they would be able to have someone out the same day to confirm that estimate. When Eric arrived, he immediately saw what IPL had explained as the problem and said that provided he could get IPL to coordinate with him to shut the power off, he would be able to complete the repair that day. Not only did he get the job done that day, he waited until the IPL tech returned and got the power back on. Both of the gentlemen from Joe Schmo's were professional, courteous, and informative. And best of all, Eric arrived with everything he needed in his truck, and got the job done quickly the first time he came out. Their responsiveness and attention to detail took a huge weight off my shoulders when it came to worrying about whether or not this electrical issue was something that could potentially be dangerous. This is the kind of service that I look for in any provider and which will guarantee I use them again in the future. (And I think I'm spelling Eric's name wrong - I apologize for that!)

Did and awesome job! Good communication prior to job. Showed up on time and was very efficient and friendly. Offered to return if I wasn't satisfied.

They arrived on time and went right to work. He listened to me and what I wanted to do. All of the repairs were explained and pricing was explained clearly. Repairs were made in a timely manner, they cleaned up after making repairs. I had called another electrical company before. The other company looked at the wiring on the whirl pool tub and said he would be back. That was two months ago. Joe Schmo Electrical came in figured out the problem and fixed it in the same visit. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone in need of electrical services. Great guys! Great company.
