Excellent. The men surveyed the job to make sure the previous damage was now dry and that there were no leaks before they started on the repair.

Gave quote two days after called. Did the work the next week. Had to come back and touch up the large hole as it cracked while setting up, but after touch up, the wall looks great. The plaster repair was about half the price of a quote from another contractor to replace wall with drywall.

He left it all really nice, neat, and smooth. It only took him about an hour, where I was expecting maybe half a day for him to do the job. He was able to get here immediately to look at the job, and he came right when he said that he would to do the work.

Mr. Spears sent his son to do the work. He and a helper took only two days to do the job. They were hardworking and efficient. They tried to keep the dust to a minimum. The work turned out nicely.

It went excellent. They were the lowest price and they did excellent work. They were on time, very friendly to work with, the price was the lowest out of every quote that I got.

They did a great job. They were really efficient. The price was very low. I like fact they did it in a timely fashion. I would use this company in the future.

He came promptly. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They cleaned up after themselves. They did an excellent job. They were reasonably priced.

Overall his work was good, but after he was done with the job, he poured out the white (plaster/water) solution on my driveway. I told him that I did not appreciate that and he said he it would wash away eventually. I did not care much for that, but overall his work was OK.

They did a great job and I was surprised to find out they could do it on a Saturday. Especially such a small job.

I was very pleased with the service. They arrived and did the job in a timely manner. I believe the work should outlast the original!

This job was a good experience. The 2-man crew were punctual, considerate (we have 2 small children), very pleasant and they worked hard.

He was so prompt. He was in and out in no time. I was really pleased.

Jim came out to do an estimate the day after I called. He was prompt, courteous and gave a thorough explanation of the problem and how he would fix it. Once we settled on a date for service, he sent two men out for the repair. They were on time (early which was great) and did quality work quickly.

First of all, they were able to squeeze us in for an estimate the morning after we called. Upon inspection, Jim informed us that the damage was superficial and could be cleaned and repainted by us. How nice to have someone honest enough to tell us that we didn't need their services, and he wouldn't even let me pay him anything for the estimate. We've had Spears' come out in the past for plaster work, they did a great job, and we'll certainly be having them out again.

I called on a snowy, rainy day, but he came and gave me an estimate anyway. He said that they couldn't do the work if it was going to freeze, but that he would call before coming out to do the work. He came out later and did the work in two days. Everything went well, and I am pleased with the results. Overall it was a great experience.

We ended up going with another company only because they happened to have an opening in their schedule to fit us in that same day and we were on a deadline. Even though we didn't end up using Jim's company, he was very professional, called me back the same day, emailed me to confirm our appointment, was on time and he and his staff were completely courteous to us, even after discovering that we chose to go in a different direction. From our experience so far, if what we have experienced so far with Jim, is representative of the kind of work and attention to detail that his company provides, we will definitely call Jim for future projects. We will also be giving him out to others.

I received an estimate from Jim Spears. Two drywallers came to my house to fit the 3' x 3' drywall piece in my 1/2 bath from a burst pipe. I had purchased pipe insulation that they forgot to install but luckily we caught it before the drywall was up. They installed the pipe insulation and wall insulation then taped and mud the drywall patch. The same 2 drywallers return the next morning to sand it and cut a hole for a return air vent. They then sprayed the texture on. I was assured it would shrink down, it didn't and has required some sanding on my part to blend it into the rest of the texture. Some of the conversation between the 2 drywallers seemed a little unprofessional but they did the work as requested and estimated. I had forgotten to mention my Angie's List membership at the time of the quote and inquired about it at the time of service and was told that it can only be honored at the time of a quote. Live and learn I guess.

They did an excellent job overall, we did have one issue with a spot on our dining room ceiling that had a small issue of crumbling, called the company up and they were actually out the next day to repair the issue. Since then everything is working great!

They were very, very nice. They came out for an initial assessment and picked a date to do the work. They came while I was at work to complete the job and it was everything they said it would be. Luther is the owner and he several workers who were all present for the job.

Luther, the plaster contractor, was on time and arrived on date and time as was promised.

The guys did a great job. I was especially pleased that when I called and explained that electricians, wallpaper hangers, plumbers, mirrors etc., were just waiting on drywall to be completed. Jim sent 2 employees out the next AM to get the job done ahead of schedule! My decorator sure is pleased, as this job has a goal of being done by Thanksgiving and is now on schedule!

Luther G. Spears was prompt in providing an estimate and completing the work. The re-stuccoed areas look great and will blend in well with the rest of the stucco once it's painted.

The crew came about one week earlier than they scheduled, which worked out well for us. We did have to call them back once because they missed several cracks--one behind a rose bush and one behind some stuff that we leaning against the patio wall. They returned the very next working day (Monday) and repaired those cracks without a fuss or comment.

I was not very happy with this work. He says that he told me the air conditioning duct work would not be plastered up unto a point, however I do not remember him ever saying that. He left a light fixture not put up. I found his tone to be condescending. I would not have paid this price had I known I would have to get a carpenter and electrician to come back and finish the job.
