IndyAsh: Emerald Ash Borer Treatment Solutions

It has gone great. We have been treating our trees for years. They come out every two years to do treatments on our trees. We are one of the few people left in our area that still have trees.

Person came out and treated the trees for a very reasonable price. Much cheaper than the last company that treated the trees 2 yrs ago.

Very well - have to get rid of tree though and i was not charged for their evaluation.

Out of 10 trees, 6 died or are needing to be removed because of major EAB infestation. 2 look good, and 2 are still struggling a bit. Josh sent out a professional tree company (Vine and Branch) to evaluate why my trees did so poorly after all this investment of time, money and effort. I was informed by Vine and Branch that the EAB treatment is only about 20% effective, and what I experienced (dead trees) was not unusual. Bottom line, promises were made regarding the effectiveness of the EAB treatment that did not materialize. If I had known this unfortunate outcome I would have replaced the trees years ago and already would have healthy Oak or Maple replacements.

I would use them again in the future.

I think the price seems to be reasonably for their service. They are very knowledgeable! Provide a good service and trustworthy.

People come out to treat my Ash trees every couple of years and they are really, really good! They kept my Ash trees alive, when everybody else?s are dead. They came out this Summer to check them to see how they were doing, to see if they needed to be treated in 2017. They left me a note saying that they looked pretty good. I have been using them for 7 years.

They did a good job. We were pleased. They certainly did the job. They came very quickly after they were asked to come.

We have been using since 2012. Our trees are still beautiful while are neighbors trees are either dead or dying. We were not sure if it would really work when we started, but it has gone very smoothly. Our trees are thriving! If your tree isn't showing signs of distress, treat now!!!

They are very good. They give reminders of when the tree needs to be treated and they give commonly asked questions. They have seasoned professionals. Our tree looks beautiful and we will continue to use them.

The arborists always came when they said and were completely professional. They apply the insecticide by inserting it into the tree and letting the tree absorb it directly in the sap (like an IV for a person). They started treatment on them in 2011, and so far the trees are perfect. This spring I noticed borers in the bark, freaked out and called IndyAsh. They called me back the same day and told me not to worry, the insecticide should be doing it's job at killing the bugs as soon as they eat the posionous wood. It shouldn't cause any damage or stress the trees. He told me how to tell if our trees are stressed by damage. So far, the trees are perfect, so the insecticide must be working.

We were emailing about scheduling, he was not able to come out. He did respond in a timely manner. I just requested a refund.

They came out and treated the Ash tree. We paid the amount that they quoted us. So far, it has worked for our tree. The treatment is good for two years. So, we will be calling them next year for another treatment

As I remember, they sent us a quick email that they couldn’t do the work and that we’d received a refund. I believe they had an overwhelming response to the Big Deal.

There is nothing to add -- the provider treated the tree and that was it.

They cancelled and refunded my money.

They were excellent. My first contact with them was two years ago, to have my Christmas tree picked up after the holidays. As I recall, after I purchased the Deal, he called and left a message when he got in, in the evening, and left all the information I needed on my voice mail. Very friendly and accommodating, and the service was provided as promised. I called (or maybe sent a note via their website?), again the following year, but they were no longer offering the service. Nevertheless, he called me back and left suggestions of what I might be able to do. I am posting a review because he was so nice and helpful, even a year later! I imagine this company provides excellent service in everything they do.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I think when I originally bought that, they were supposed to do a list of all the plants in our yard and I never received that. The actual treating of the ash trees was great. They impressed me that they knew exactly how to treat ash trees and explained it well. I actually had them come back again later. The treatment was good for 18 months, they showed up, and our trees are still alive unlike some places in the neighborhood.

It was some time ago...but the responsiveness and ease of the process was excellent. The purchasing the deal was simple and the service provider gave a clear expectation of when he would be arriving to remove the tree. The only thing keeping this from being an A review was the disposal process itself. I should have researched better...but when i arrived back into the apartment building there were pine needles all over the apartment, down the hallways and leading out through the exit. Easy - yes. Clean - no.

It was good. They have been back to treat since.

I used them since then because this process has to be repeated every couple of years. The treatment is working fine.

Follow up from 2011 treatment was done in a timely manner to receive 2013 treatment early in the year. Treatment was done as scheduled. Detailed information is provided as to number of trees and total DBH (circumference size of trees). My only concern regarding quality and professionalism is that it was promised in 2011 to permanently tag all treated trees and that was not done. It is suppose to be done after Aug 1, 2013. It seems that it should have been done at the same time as each tree is treated.

Came out and we walked my property. Two of my seven ash trees were doing poorly and at their recommendation no additional treatment was done. Returned the next day to treat five trees.
