Hi, [Member Name Removed], Hope you and yours had a super Christmas holiday! When I read the review you posted on Christmas Day, I have to admit to being a bit flabbergasted since the work I did for you was over four months ago, back on August 18. However, I do recall the work, partly due to my notes, but mainly due to the fact that your particular ceiling fan was a bit troublesome and, admittedly took an inordinate length of time to replace. In fact, my notes on that day indicate it took a grand total of 3.5 hours of actual work time. You had purchased one of my specials--the $99 ceiling fan installation--which, depending on the type and complexity of the fans and the type of wiring involved, usually takes about two hours. In your case, I believe the main issue involved my inability to get the fan blades to balance with the included kit. This kit allows the fan blades to operate smoothly as they go around without making the fan wobble. Additionally, I'm sure the project was made to seem time-consuming due to the fact that I had to make a physical therapy appointment at 2:00P (left at 1:30P) which I logically combined with a lunch break. I returned at approx. 3:30 to complete the installation. Ultimately, the fan tested operational and without wobble on all but the high speed which you indicated wouldn't be employed anyway. Then, as you may recall, we moved to your laundry room to talk about installing some shelves at a future appointment. After discussing this project, I left your house at approx. 5:30P, so if you include the time it took to fulfill my therapy appointment, the total time from start to finish was a total of approx. 6.0 hours (11:30A-5:30P). I do regret that yours was one of the more troublesome installations and that I exacerbated the situation by leaving in the middle of the process. However, I am consoled by the fact that it was a $99 special that cost you nothing further for the time I spent other than the inconvenience of having a contractor at your house twice in one day. Due to this inconvenience, please accept my offer of a 10% discount on a future repair appointment that you might be considering in the upcoming year. Have a happy and prosperous new year!
