We moved out of Indianapolis a couple of months ago and we were to receive a $38 credit. I have heard numerous excuses as to why we have still not received the credit. I have requested four times to receive the check. They have said that they did not have our correct address, they could not process the check until August, and now they are saying that the check got lost in the mail. The public needs to know this is the way Indianapolis water runs their business.
Description of Work: They were our water company.

I mentioned above that I would use the company again and this is because I don't have another option. There is only one water company that services my area and I can't exactly make an informed decision. I believe they know this, which is why they treat their customers the way they do. They can get away with it. A complaint was also filed with the BBB, but we are not really expecting a resolution, because as I mentioned before, they can get away with treating their customers in such a negative fashion, because their customers do not have another choice for a water company.
Description of Work: We had a roommate move out of our three bedroom house. After she left, she called to turn off the water so we could put it under a different name. Though we neglected to call before the water was actually turned off, I did call the day that it happened. Upon calling, the person that answered the phone said they couldn't get anyone out there to turn it back on until the following day. I expressed to them that we needed the water that day and after giving them all of my contact information so they could set up another profile, they walked me through the process of turning it on myself. After turning it on, we never received a bill from them. As most companies work, I just assumed a bill would come and that they hadn't read the meter. Today, our water was shut off without notice. My roommate called in to see why we weren't contact or billed in the past. They mentioned that they had come out to read the meter in September, which is the same month I spoke to them. Since there was a dog in the yard at the time they arrived, they did not read the meter. Instead of contacting us or trying again, they didn't do anything. Instead they let the problem continue and then shut the water off as I mentioned above. After speaking to them, they blamed us for not calling them, despite the fact that they mentioned our information was "lost in a pile of paperwork." Then they said that it could not get turned on until the next day and their time frame covered the entire day.
