After several frustrating months of trying to find a reliable contractor to install a patio at our new home I saw one of their trucks leaving another subdivision where they were pouring foundations. I called the number on the truck and they promptly sent out an estimator to quote the job. The quote was very much in line with another estimate that we had from a contractor that never showed to do the job, so we went with Indianapolis Concrete. We were promised an install date and and they were able to get to us a week earlier. They showed up right on time and finished the job that day. The construction manager for our project came out a few days later to inspect the patio. We were so impressed with their professionalism and the quality of work. Our only regret is that we didn't find them sooner!

Bill and his crew did a fantastic job. I cannot recommend a better company to install concrete. They were prompt, did a good job and cleaned up after the job was complete. There have been no issues since the driveway and walkway were finished.

Work was originally scheduled for late fall 2014 but cold weather set in prematurely and Rob recommended that rather than take a chance with potential problems that could be caused by too cold ground temperatures we reschedule for early spring when warmer weather set in. They followed up in the spring to schedule the work. The existing 10x12 concrete patio was torn out and hauled away and the site was prepared for the new 16x22 patio. They worked quickly and hand trucked the base aggregate and the concrete to avoid damage to the soft lawn. The site was left clean and roughed in for final landscaping. We had some splatter on our brick walls from the process to expose the aggregate but they came back and quickly cleaned the brick. After the curing time the surface was stained with a sealing mixture containing a gripper agent to minimize slipperiness when the surface is wet, also at the recommendation of Rob. We are thoroughly pleased with the result and plan to have them back next spring for maintenance to reseal the surface.

It is nice to find someone who stands behind their work. Unfortunately in this day and age you do not find that very often. They did the work and scheduled a supervisor to come out and review the work without being asked. The company was unhappy with how the garage apron came out and had it torn out and re-poured. Looks great and would definitely use again.

Excellent - estimate, work performance, follow up.

Rob and all workers were professional with all interactions regarding the project. Project did not get started as was projected due to unusual rainy conditions. Once weather and scheduling was worked out work was completed quickly.

We couldn't be happier. We have extensive landscaping on both sides of the stairs and walkway. They did all the work without damaging anything or even stepping on a plant. The salesman and then the construction coordinator answered all of our questions; called with a timeline; and then did the work in one day as promised. Even the office staff was helpful and friendly.

The two issues were that the foreman didn't fully communicate what was agreed in the quote before leaving after a few minutes and the concrete truck arrived an hour before the site was prepared. In the end, the job came out OK, but the experience could have been better.

I am very pleased with the patio and custom stairs that Indianapolis Concrete completed for us. Rob, our project manager, was professional, responsive, and took the time to answer all of my questions. The crew was fantatsic and completed the job within two days. I am so glad we went with Indianapolis Concrete and would definatly use them again.

Very flexible on installation time & excellent job.

We spent a lot of money on a concrete driveway from Indianapolis Concrete, Inc in Aug 2013. Eight months after completion, the driveway started chipping off and forming pitts. Pictures have been posted on Yelp.com. The owner did agree to have the driveway sealed AGAIN but the damage was already there. The employee sealed the driveway again but missed many areas and most of the edges along the driveway. The owner refused to have the driveway sealed correctly or extend our warranty for another year so that tells you how confident he is in his product. I would never use this company again. They cam when they said they would. The crew was pleasant and efficient. They prepared for the concrete which was poured the next day. The quality of the work was great.

Wonderful! Pre construction, complete review of job, plenty of notice for day of work, post construction review. Everyone on time to early. I had some questions after install, responded quickly and completely.

Answered calls promptly and came on-site and provided estimate in a timely manner (only concrete provider contacted who returned calls or provided an estimate). Project plan agreed and contract signed in early September. Project not started until early December due to rainy weather. Required repeated follow-up via e-mail to get information on start date. Project was started and completed within two days as planned. The work progressed without issue. They even ran wire for our invisible fence through conduit (I supplied) and put it under the driveway. Had to e-mail for instructions on when we were able to drive on the new concrete. Also had to remove stakes and yellow tape ourselves when were able to get back on the driveway. Also had to do some minor backfill and repair a sprinkler head damaged by the project. Once the project was finished, we were sent a final invoice which was adjusted in our favor to match the agreed contract amount. Aside from some minor issues, we were very pleased with the work and results and our interactions with the company.

The initial estimate process went very smoothly. We were very impressed with our project manager. Work started as expected, but issues were noted after the concrete was poured. There were issues with the stamping, particularly on one set of stairs. In addition, the clean-up and finishing work was not done well. Trash and debris was not removed and the grading/landscaping was not done well. Our patio was poured in May. Communication after the pour was not acceptable. When we called to report our issues, our calls would not be returned. The company tried several "fixes" to our stamping issues over several months. Finally, they agreed the steps would need to be re-poured. However, the steps now do not match the rest of the patio in color or in the shape of the stones (they are more rounded that the rest of the patio). In the end, the company agreed to discount our patio by 10% due to the issues we had. This was resolved until October. My husband has since found away on his own to tint the stairs so that they better match the rest of our patio.

They did it at the end of the month, and finished it up early December. They got off to a slow start, but finished fine. The pricing was average. They were always very responsive whenever I called them.

I chose another company and cannot comment on Indianapolis Concrete's quality of work. The phone was answered promptly and professionally. I struggled to get responses from other Angie's List concrete companies so this was a pleasant start. She said an estimator would be in my area the next week and would come by then. He arrived when I expected him, took measurements, and showed me decorative options to blend the walk with my historic home. He had photos of possibilities and great options. I received an emailed bid with a line item breakdown a few days later. It was nearly $2000 higher than my other bids so we called and asked to talk through it, assuming that the different options we talked about were all included and some costs would be eliminated once we chose our final step shape and finish. No, that was the actual price. There were so many charges that bloated the cost: $250 for a 0-120 square foot job (I assume it was a premium for a small job), $100 for power washing, $65 environmental charge, $150 fuel charge, $180 for transporting material to and from the job site, $175 dump fee, $700 step tear out, $180 concrete tear out, $200 to move my landscaping stones, $240 for a broomed finish & seal + $120 exposed aggregate upgrade with another sealer. We were told that if we could find a better price elsewhere, we should jump on it. There may be a quality difference between Indianapolis Concrete and the company we chose. I have little doubt they would have done great work based on their reviews and the examples of work they showed us. The fees came close to doubling the cost and made it just too expensive for a small job.

We are very satisfied with the quality of the new concrete work performed. It was evident that the workers placing the concrete were highly skilled and committed to quality. The work was interrupted due to rain, but the workers did not rush to just get the job done. They came back to finish-up the next morning ensuring the work was done right. The workers performing the power washing and sealing of the existing driveway, porches and sidewalks worked hard to ensure all of the surfaces were well cleaned before the sealer was applied. All company representatives were knowledgeable, courteous and on time. Overall, we are very pleased with the work and would certainly recommend Indianapolis Concrete to others.
