Description of Work: We hired Indiana Roof and Exterior Cleaning to clean the exterior of our house. We have hardiplank siding and had mold on one side of the house. The rest of the siding needed to be cleaned as well. Within one week, they provided us with a reasonable quote to clean the hardiplank siding (which is only on the 2nd story of our house) and came out to clean the siding. They did a great job cleaning the exterior. They don't just powerwash the siding, they actually use a type of cleaning substance (just like washing the house). Once they were finished, the siding on our house looks great. If I needed this done again, I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: The quality of the cleaning was good. However, 5 boxwood bushes were killed in the process because they were not properly protected. I then had to pay someone else additional money to have someone else come out and remove them. The owner offered to pay to have one bush removed. That offer as so insulting that we went ahead and paid for it ouselves. Protect your landscaping!

This I don't understand at all. I did talk to this customer by phone. She requested an idea as to how much it might cost to have her house washed. I replied that we provide a free on site Estimate for our services as each house is different in shape and size and with various sometimes different cleaning needs. She replied that all she wanted was an idea of what it might cost. Based on her description of her home I gave her a range as to what it might cost. She replied that this was more than her budget allowed and we said good bye. Therefore, I do not understand this critique of our Company as I did response back to her and was willing to provide our usual free on site Estimate.

It has taken 4 years for this type of review to come, but we have always know it could happen. Customers can write anything they desire to try and damage your reputation. We have always prided ourselves on our workmanship and responsiveness to our customer needs and desires. This particular customer was moving out of the country and wanted their home cleaned asap. We provided our Estimate and she expressed surprise at the price as it was higher than she anticipated. She called us back 2 days later to hire our services and we put her on our Service Schedule within one week of that request. Before we were able to perform the House Washing, Interior & Exterior Gutter Cleaning, and Concrete Cleaning we had to trim back tree limbs, shrub growth, and other vegetation. This was all agreed upon with the home owner prior to agreement for service. We also agreed to remove this vegetation with us upon completion of the service. The service itself took a 3 man staff 7 hours to complete with only 2 ten minute breaks taken during the entire service time. Upon completing our services the neighbors from other homes marveled at the completed project and that the home itself looked "Brand New" and that they were very impressed. This was also conveyed by the Acklin's in their original email that the house looked awesome. In that same email they expressed their displeasure with the condition that we left their property and that we couldn't wait to " race away" upon completion. In their follow up email they noted that their back screen door was off track, some outdoor paver stones had to be reset, we had left the screens up on their windows, and that we had broken 2 of their landscaping lights. As far as the condition of their property, we did haul away the vegetation that we had cut or removed from the home to provide our service. If we left a twig or two and some leaves we do apologize. It is fortunate that we carry cell phones as we take pictures of possible situations during our inspection upon arrival. The screen door itself was already off track upon our arrival, the paver stones in question probably only came to view when the overgrown vegetation was removed, and the landscaping lights were laying in the flower beds, we only stood them back up. We did leave the screens up so theses areas can dry and drain properly. As far as my responsiveness to their concerns I has 400 miles away and unable to review this service until my return on Monday. Their critique of our services was written before I ever had a chance to reply as they threatened to do via Angie's List. Overall they received the service that was contracted, a beautifully cleaned home exterior. For their other concerns they should have hired a Tree Service, Landscaper, Electrician, and Handyman. My rating for this particular service and experience with this customer is purely BS. It is impossible to Please everyone no matter how hard you try.

Description of Work: I just had an great experience with this company from the minute I called to get an estimate until they finished the job. Mike came out to give me an estimate very soon after I called. I was very pleased with this since my experience with trying to get the roof cleaned last summer was a busy. Let me start by saying that last year, I was not an Angie's List member and called companies out of the phone book, but unfortunately Indiana Roof Cleaning wasn't one of them. Of the three other companies I called here was my experience: The first gave me a price that was ridiculous, the second company never showed up or responded to my call and the third showed up but wanted the total project paid for before I could be put on the calendar for a date for the work to be done. Thank God I joined Angie's List. Mike gave me a quote that was extremely reasonable. I needed the roof cleaned and the concrete walkway from the entry to the drive cleaned. His price was fair and work was set up. The crew including his son Danny arrived when they were supposed to and were extremely polite and professional. I had decided that all of the concrete around my pool and back patio needed to be cleaned as well. Danny happily looked, measured and gave me a very fair price for this extra last minute work. The entire crew of three men worked nonstop from the moment they arrived and even did a double and triple check to make sure nothing was missed. The outcome of the quality of their work is immediately evident. I feel like I am living in a brand new house. To pull into the driveway and see a gleeming roof instead of dark ugly streaks is incredible. I have walked out to my pool area several times and even had the neighbors come see the difference that Danny and his crew did. Before the crew left they made sure I was completely satisfied with the work. I highly recommend this company if you want a quality job and professional people working on your home.

They provided an excellent job. The roof looks new and the the sidewalks are amazing. I am very satisfied and would recommend them to anyone. They were professional while here and worked literally non stop from the time they arrived at 9:30 Am until approximately 5:30 PM. I was VERY impressed.

Indiana Roof Cleaning did an outstanding job! Prior to the cleaning, the crew laid out their plans for cleaning the roof and gutters, and reminded me of how the moss would be gone after a few weeks. They cleaned the roof and gutters very well. The difference in how the roofs and gutters look now versus before was dramatic. The roof looks brand new. And, all of the moss was fully gone after just a few weeks as they described. I am very happy with the results!
Description of Work: We had roofs on two vacation home buildings located in the woods in Brown County that were in desperate need of cleaning. Prior to calling Indiana Roof Cleaning, I contact a couple of other roof cleaning companies and left messages. After not receiving a return call after several days, I was able to find Indiana Roof Cleaning on Angies List. When I called them, a live person answered the phone immediately. After a brief discussion of their services, the owner met me on the property the next day. He walked around the buildings with me, explaining in detail the work they would perform which included cleaning the roofs and gutters. We had heavy moss covering parts of the roofs. He explained in detail how the moss would be killed after the cleaning, and the moss would be fully gone after a few weeks. This explanation was very helfpul to ensure that my expectations were met. He also discussed the warranty in detail.

From start to finish, this job was quoted and completed in a couple of days! Wow! And, I might add, with incredible, friendly customer service that blew me away. In addition to performing the work for which they were hired, Mike (one of the company principals) pointed out to us that he had found the source of a roof leak in our screened porch. This leak had been "fixed" by two other roofing companies, that is until it rained. We are immensely pleased to finally be able to address and solve this problem. Thanks Mike! We would definiltely recommend Indiana Roof Cleaning to anyone with roof streaking. Your roof will look like new.
Description of Work: Our 14 year-old roof was streaked and appeared in need of replacing. But, it actually was merely in need of cleaning. Mike and his crew from Indiana Roof Cleaning cleaned only the portions of the roof which were streaked. He had explained the process to me in advance, which involved spraying a cleaning solution, not power washing. They took great care to protect shrubbery, deck furniture, etc. from the cleaning solution. The job was completed promptly, efficiently, and the results are excellent.

I called them and a real person answered the phone. They came by right away and explained their service and gave me estimate for the roof cleaning job. A few days later they did the job. They obvously knew what they were doing and were very concerned that we were satisified with their work. I was happy except for one thing. There was tarsac on the side of the house they said that it wasn’t covered by the contract, which it wasn’t. Apparently it was part of sap or pollen and they couldn’t get it off. They also did the window which was above and beyond the contract. They did a good job. None of the grass died or was hurt.

The "black dots" on the siding that we were not able to remove are called "artillery or shotgun spores". These spores come from the wood mulch that is used around the house in the flower beds. We have researched online to try and find a way to remove these (other than individually which would take a number of hours and is not cost effective to the home owner) but to no avail thus far.

My roof had several areas of algae built up on the north side of the house. They came out the next day and gave me an estimate. I scheduled my appointment two days later after I verified their references. My appointment was on a Wednesday at 3PM, but they did not show up until 5 PM. When I called them at 4PM, they said they were running behind and would be their soon. I would have expected them to give me a call to let me know they were behind schedule. Overall I was satisfied with this company and would use them in the future.

With a little trepidation I chose Indiana Roof Cleaning despite their having no reports on the List. We saw their ad on TV, then looked at their interesting, informative website. The business is well established in another state, and the owner Mike is helping his son get established in Indiana. They do not use a power wash system nor do they walk on the roof, both of which can cause damage. They use enviro-friendly chemicals and offer free estimates. They will provide references, and have established referral relationships with several realtors. On the phone, Mike explained their methods in depth and answered all of my questions. The son Danny actually did the work. They explained that the roof would look discolored for a time after the treatment but would look better after a couple of rains - which proved to be exactly right. They examined the roof for loose shingles, hail damage etc at the time of the estimate but said that our 20 year old roof was in good shape (which showed thier honesty since they are able to do other roof work). The discovery that this type of work costs about 10% of replacement cost was startling, but looking at other roof cleaners shows that this is a pretty typical price point.
