I am sorry this customer had to experience this situation. I have checked my phone and invoice records. This name or address did not show in my paperwork. I think somebody might have gotten a number or name confused. If you check my other Angie's List records, this is TOTALLY out of character for the professional services I offer. Sincerely, Joe

Very well!
Description of Work: Removal of 40+ year old spruce tree which was too close to the foundation of the house. Joe and his employees took down the tree by climbing and sawing rather than by use of a bucket truck. The stump was also ground out the next day. The area was left smooth and clean and everything was in tact upon completion.

He was very nice and he removed the tree just fine but he never ground the stump up. I have been trying to get him to come back out to grind the stump but he has been avoiding me. He never returns my calls and when I'm actually able to get a hold of him he blows me off.

Response from Iaria's Tree Service LLC
Against my better judgment I accepted his job. I felt sorry for the member because he said nobody would work for him to do the job. That kind of "red flagged" that there might be issues, but oh well. I figured he needed somebody that might step up to the plate. He seemed very nervous and upset about keeping his neighbors trees from "ruining his yard" this was obvious to me due to the fact it was mentioned of his attempt to take the neighbors to court to make them legally cut down their own trees in their own yards so they wouldn't mess up his yard. As for the job, he watched over me all day and his son stopped by to check in on me as well. Everyone seemed very pleased. Besides the one spruce estimated to be done, I also removed 17 mulberry trees because I could tell they were emotionally upsetting him. I didn't even charge him. I figured maybe he just needed a break and somebody to understand him. I did a great job of removing the 18 stumps including the spruce with all the grindings, limbs, brush, basic rubbish, rocks, etc...and whatever I could do to help ease his frustration with his tree "mess". I cut down the tree and ground out the stump even with the ground. It was a job done well and he was happy. He said he was very happy and I did a nice job. His son stopped by, shook my hand and thanked me. He paid me, and that was that. The member did call regarding the stump afterwards. As a matter of fact he called me approximately half a dozen times within hours. I explained to the member that I was in the middle of another customer's emergency job and when I say middle...I mean middle...I was standing in the middle of the customers bedroom cutting out a 100 foot tree from one of the many recent severe storms passing through Indiana. I only ignored his phone calls when I had a saw in my hand at the job and concentrating on technical and dangerous procedures and tasks, and after he didn't seem to hear that I was busy, which I apologized, running behind, but promised I would get to him. I was surprised when I heard this negative report. Like I said we all shook hands, talked nice, and was thanked for such a great job. I did offer to regrind out his stump further, but he declined my offer. Yes, I am very busy, over-booked and honestly running a little behind due to storm damage. I am very disappointed about this whole thing. I work very hard and take much pride in my work and am never afraid to go the extra mile. It seems convenient that he got $400 extra work for free from the goodness of my heart. Because of his high anxiety level, lack of patience, not understanding that I have people out of their homes and waiting for tree removal, and the fact he refused my offer to do whatever it takes to make him happy by getting someone else to finish up the job makes me think the issue is more than a tree stump not being ground enough. It went very well. Joe is very easy to work with and does exactly what I asked. He said he had a couple of days of work ahead of me. He came out on schedule and, because of our previous experience with Joe, we prepaid him.
Description of Work: This is the 2nd time I used this company to remove a tree due to recent storm damage. The tree was an 80 foot maple with about a 32" diameter trunk. I thought perhaps it could just be cut back in an effort to save it, but Jim and I looked it over and he showed me where it was diseased. The price included removal of all wood and about 3 yards of brush. He had to access the rear of the property through a neighbor's property. He left the job site and the neighbor's property in immaculate condition.

Joe was onsite to estimate the job the same day called, scheduled the work for Saturday and arrived by 9 am. The 2 trees were removed and the site cleaned up by 1 PM. Another young man was sent to the house, later that week, with a stump grinder to remove the remaining stump and again clean up the site. Well worth the agreed upon price.
Description of Work: Joe and his staff removed 2 trees from our home. Working on a Saturday morning, they did a quick job of removing the trees and cleaning up the site. A second visit was required to complete the stump removal but this was completed the very next week and again, the site was raked and cleaned before they departed.

We called on a Sunday not expecting a return call until Monday, but Joe returned our call within the hour with an estimate and the brush/branches were removed that same day. He hauled everything away and raked up all the little sticks and debris and left our yard clean. Great service!! Would definitely use again and recommend to friends & family.

We needed a tree cut in a timely fashion so that roofers could start their work, which they did. They came immediately and gave an estimate. I told them my only concern was that a previous Angie's List evaluation had stated that they came without ladders. Joe Iaria assured me that he would bring his own ladder & any other equipment necessary, They were personable & did an efficient job of cutting & cleaning. However, they did have to borrow our ladder & rake!
Description of Work: We had Iaria's cut down a medium persimmon tree next to the house.

Joe and his team did a great job. Paul, the climber, was very knowledgeable about his work and made great suggestions. I did have to wait more than a week since my job was much smaller than many of their other jobs. They did a great job cleaning up.
Description of Work: Climbed and trimmed several high limbs away from my roof as well as general removal dead limbs and trimming of smaller branches around my yard. Removed 3 or 4 small trees.

I WAS PLEASED WITH THE EFFICIENCY AND PRIDE IN THE WORK DISPLAYED BY THIS COMPANY. IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT THEY WERE GOOD AT WHAT THEY DID AND THEY WERE AS THRILLED TO DO THE JOB WELL, AS I WAS TO HAVE IT DONE. IT'S REALLY NICE TO HAVE A SERVICE PROVIDER ASK YOU REPEATEDLY IF YOU'RE SATISFIED WITH THE JOB AND IF THERE'S ANYTHING ELSE YOU NEED DONE.
Description of Work: WE HAD 2 SYCAMORE TREES THAT WERE ABOUT 100 FEET TALL AND 4 FOOT IN DIAMETER AT THE BASE OF THE TRUNK. BOTH TREES WERE REMOVED, THE DEBRIS WAS CLEANED UP AND THE WOOD HAULED AWAY. THERE WAS LITTLE ROOM FOR ERROR IN FELLING THE TREES DUE TO THE CLOSE PROXIMITY BETWEEN OUR HOUSE AND OUR NEIGHBORS. THEN THE FENCE POSTS IN THE FRONT HAD TO BE AVOIDED TOO. IT WAS IMPRESSIVE HOW QUICKLY AND EXPERTLY THE TREES WERE FELLED.
