Hughes Tree Care

It was not a good experience. We had two trees removed from our front yard. When they came to the door, we thought they were the crew that our tree guy recommended. When we asked if he was with our tree removal guy they said yes and misrepresented themselves. When asked if they were on Angie's list they said yes but when I looked them up, they are not a paying contractor. They apparently were driving around the neighborhood looking for situations such as ours and took advantage of it. They were very unprofessional - over sold themselves at the door and tried to sell us on other services like tree trimming which seemed strange since we already had someone doing our tree trimming and removal. The two older guys ground the smaller tree stump, asked for their share of the money and left, leaving the two younger boys to work on the large stump with ill-equipped machinery to handle the job. The grinder kept quitting on them. When the two older guys returned the large stump was a little more than half done and the exposed roots had not been touched. After contacting our tree removal guy, we realized they were not the company that he recommended. At that point we asked them to pack up their equipment and leave.
