Description of Work: I have a year service contract with Howald for two systems. I did not need any special maintenance at this time but wanted to post a review. Howald calls when they are on their way. They are generally prompt and professional. All work is done in a timely fashion. There were some recommendations that the serviceman recommended that I appreciated (regarding humidifier and insulation addition). I generally recommend Howald to my friends with confidence

Description of Work: It was a pleasure dealing with Larry Howald, personally, and his company in getting my my old heating and AC system replaced. Of all the companies that I asked for a quote, Larry was the most helpful, informed, personable, and responsive. It also provided the lowest price . . . and he was never "pushy" as some others were. Highly and totally recommend Larry and Howald Heating and AC to anyone considering the types of work they do -- A-plus !!!

Description of Work: AC went out late Friday evening, 7/6. Called emergency service and because I had a maintenance agreement, they came out about 10pm. The compressor was shot but could be fixed but the unit was already 17 years old. All options were clearly explained and I opted for a new unit. Larry Farmer came out promptly at the scheduled time, took all measurements and explained the price, etc. The installing crew was scheduled for later that day but actually showed up much earlier than expected. They were very polite and did a fine job of installing. The entire experience from the office staff to the last man there was a pleasant experience. Larry Farmer even came back the next day to check on everything and make some minor adjustments.

Description of Work: For many years, I had maintenance work done by Broad Ripple H/A (now Howald H/A) before they were acquired by "Service Experts". "Service Experts" (SE) recently replaced the Control Panel, Gas Shut Off Valve, and several other parts before the heat function was working again. However, the Fan On Switch would Not work as before. SE's tech could not fix the problem and wanted to come back with another service tech. After three visits, $84 in Diagnostic Charges and $838 for the parts, the furance was still not working properly. To get another opinion, on 12/21, I explained this situtation to Ed Kittle, Howald H/A's Operations Manager. Because I was a prior customer of Broad Ripple H/A, Ed offered to send out one of his service men, Matt, to inspect what was done by SE and to fix it with NO labor charge. He also said that Matt would be there within an hour! Matt arrived quickly, as promissed. He found several loose wires and moved at least one wire to another position on the Control Panel. The problem was fixed and the Fan On switch now works properly. I consider this to be an example of what Super Service should be. Needless to say, my future H/A maintenance will be done by Howald's.

Description of Work: I been doing business with Larry for years. When he sold his old company I experenced a big difference in the new company, not good. I am gald to see Larry back in business. I have used him for 20 years + and intend to start using him again. Thanks for getting back into it.
