Howald Heating Air Conditioning and Plumbing

This was the first time I used them.

I have electric heat; I don't have an air conditioner. I don't need them to come and check on it once a year. Some minor thing went out I think the circuit breaker and something else. They came out right away, they fixed it and I was happy.

They are currently working on another project for me.

The furnace they placed at my home is actually 20 years ago. And they did a good service on the maintenance of it. It still works today. They even worked on the insulation and that helped me save on my bills for electricity. They also provided an estimate for a heat pump.

Called made appointment faucet replaced. Difficult job because distance between joist and wall in crawl space was very tight. Did very good job.

Got estimate for new furnace. This was the second company we had come out to take a look at furnace. They were very professional.

I BELIEVE THAT I WAS OVERCHARGED FOR SERVICES,PLUS QUESTIONABLE DECISIONS. I BOUGHT A SERVICE CONTRACT AND WAS CHARGED $423 FOR THE FIRST VISIT WHICH INCLUDED REFRIGERATE CHARGE OF $253 . THIS WAS BEFORE THE LEAK WAS FIXED-- SO THE REFRIGERATE IMMEDIATELY STARTED LEAKING AGAIN. THE COMPANY RETURNED 4 DAYS LATER TO LOOK FOR THE LEAK. ON THE SECOND VISIT THE LEAK WAS FOUND AND REPAIRED . THEN THE REPAIRMAN GATHER WHAT TOOLS HE HAD OUT AND SAT IN HIS TRUCK FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 AND 1/2 HOURS . I WAS CHARGED $492 FOR THIS VISIT OR A TOTAL OF $915 . I WAS TOLD I HAD NO FURTHER VISITS COMING FROM THE SERVICE CONTRACT WHICH COST $170 PAID ON THE FIRST VISIT. I BELIEVE THAT I OVERPAID FOR BAD DECISIONS AND SERVICES PERFORMED

We had a small leak that took awhile to manifest itself. When I finally looked in the right place and saw where the dripping was coming from, called them out and they came out. It was fixed in like 15 minutes. What stood out to me was that they met their time commitment, the gut that did the work was kind, professional, courteous, and he clearly knew what he was doing because he got it done quickly and was able to improve the plumbing there over what the previous installation was. He demonstrated how the previous install wasn't particularly that good. The quality of the work stood out.

They replaced the needed part and everything works great. They were nice and kept me informed what was needed.

As good as it possibly could have. The service tech came out to my newly purchased home in Butler-Tarkington right on time. He was extremely polite and professional. He did immediately find that I would most likely need a more thorough plumbing job, and for my main line to be snaked. He unfortunately did not have the equipment, but gave me recommendations on who I could trust around the area. When I got ready to pay him for coming out (which I'd expect) he said there's no charge, I didn't do anything!

Technician arrived 10 minutes early. He was friendly and professional.

It was done relatively quickly although they had to do a lot of work, so my house wasn't cold for very long. I had to leave so they locked up and everything was fine. Because I had to leave somebody had to come the next day and kind of show me how to use the electronic thermostat. It would have been nice if I could have had that done the same day, but I am the one that had to leave.

I got a second estimate and they had a much better price.

Workers were good. First guy answered some questions and the second guy was less talkative but good. First inspection didn't take long but the second one maybe took an hour or two. Left very clean.
