The first time they came out things didn't go quite right, the second time they had to reorder the parts and the third time out the unit is wokring perfectly. It is running better than it has in years.

Howald called each morning to tell us when the technichans were in route to our home.
The service men used runners throughout the house to minimize damage to the floors. Howald's technicans explained everything they would be doing and they completed the job with-in the targeted timeline.I would recomend them for future work.

Both of the visits were very informative and productive. I was curious to learn more about my recently purchased homes heating and cooling system. Both technicians allowed me to stand with them and ask questions about any and all services performed. My resent experience with the company was with the A/C technician "Bill" that came out for my spring tune-up. He was very professional and informative. Bill clued me in on the condition of my unit and made suggestions when I asked questions about maintenance. Bill did a great job and I will definitely use this company in the future when needed.

I got a confirmation call the day prior to service and reminder prior to the experts coming out. I was surprised to see that a plumber, heat technician, and Supervisor all arrived at this appointment! Service was performed according to estimate and recommendations.

Furnace had not been cleaned and checked for several years. Called Howald and got an appointment immediately for the day and time I requested. Got a call telling me that the technician was on his way and he arrived a few minutes later, at the time promised. He spent about an hour checking over the furnace and cleaning it. He did not make any repairs, but the furnace does ignite more smoothly now that it's clean. My furnace is more than 40 years old (1971), but the technician did not try to sell me a new furnace. He said it was running fine but was getting rusty and was inefficient compared to the new ones. I will probably get a new furnace this spring or summer, so I appreciated the honest assessment of the current furnace and info he provided me on cost and efficiency of 80-percent and 90-percent furnaces and on options for air filters. I thought that the price was fair for the time and effort he put into the cleaning and checking of the furnace. (He also fixed a loose cover on the furnace.) I will definitely use this company again for furnace work and will request the technician (Adam) who provided the service.

Well, salesperson was prompt and knowledgeable. Installation was promptly done two days later and all went well. It is nice to have more humidity in our house now that the temperatures have dropped and the furnace is running frequently.

I was having hardwood floors installed and the ac went out! Howald came
to the rescue! My unit was low on coolant and the serviceman was able
to detect that quickly and accurately and get the unit up and running
again! They are my new ac/heating service provider!!!

Howald Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing has been servicing my furnace, air conditioner, and humidifier for approximately 20 years. I think that says it all - 20 years. They are totally reliable, professional, and honest. I wouldn't use anyone else!!

I had an estimate for replacement from this company, 2 weeks prior to the actual failure. After comparison to another estimate, we had decided to use Howald's plumbing services because of our past experiences with their H&A/C and Insulation divisions. The cost difference between estimates was offset by an existing coupon offer from Howald.
When the failure occurred, we were able to secure an installation appointment the next day. The process of removal of old equipment and installation of new went well, despite some complications with proximity issues of existing H&A/C unit (different unit from when the failed water heater was installed) and small closet both units are located within.
The plumber performing the service was very professional, friendly & courteous. All work was performed in a very timely and satisfactory manner.

I loved the quickness and helpfulness of f the staff. Adam diagnosed my problem and the next morning Allen and Doc installed my new furnace which I like. My broken middle aged furnace would only light the pilot light but not the burner. Now it's great.

woke up to no heat. Called at 0730 and they had a technician out by 1430. Diagnosed problem as bad circuit board and ordered and picked up the part same day and was back by 1800 to install. I called the office to get and update and was updated promptly by phone. By 2000 we had heat and he showed me the breaker he installed that now protects the board and transformer from blowing so if it switches off I know how to reset. Bill also gave me a run down of the possible causes of the blown board and said if it happens again give them a call and they can come out and track down any potential shorts that may be the root cause. $600 was hard to swallow but the Angies list 10% off helped. Would recommend them for honest, friendly, fast and dependable service

Everything was completed in a professional manner. Their staff on the phone and technition were friendly and pleasant to deal with. No one likes to have an emergency and spend money to solve the problem but they made the experience better than it could have been.

I wanted to change my washer hot and cold water hoses, but had a hard time turning off the valves, as they were original and over 30 years old. I purchased stainless steel hoses and called Howald, and Steve came out today and gave me an estimate after he looked it over. I initialed my ok, and he proceeded to replace the valves and installed my hoses. Steve is a long time professional plumber and will ask for him by name again. I also used one of Larry Howald email coupons that came yesterday for $50.00, which was a big discount on this job.

We left a message with this company on Saturday and early Monday morning recieved a call scheduling an appt for that afternoon. We had our geothermal worked on 2 weeks before but it still didn't work properly. Brad came to our house and found that it hadn't been wired correctly and a fuse had burned out in the furnace. He used devices to measure the heat capacity and restored the furnace to working order. Brad was very friendly and courteous. He explained what he was doing as he worked. We are very pleased with t outcome. The price was very reasonable too.

Brad and Ed were very thorough in the inspection and assessment of the issue affecting the efficiency of my air conditioner. After an extensive cleaning of the coils which were caked like a blanket with dirt and other matter, it was determined that the units pressure had normalized. With additional freon my 30 year old unit seems to functioning well beyond expectations. Brad and Ed were very professional and personable and I would encourage members to enlist the services of Howald Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing whenever the need arises.

Tim, the salesman, was thorough and good at giving me options. He answered my questions and spent the time I needed. The installation guys were on time (they told me 8:30 and they were there at 8:25!). They worked hard and were done about 1 pm. I was initially told it might take all day. The installers were clean and efficient. They answered my questions and explained the new thermostat to me.
The day they installed the furnace it was 77! The next day it was 45! I guess great timing on my part. The new furnace is quiet and comfortable. We are anxious to see the difference on our energy bills.
