I was very satisified with their service. I talked to a real person to set up the appointment . Tech was timely. They called 30 minutes before they arrived.

My husband has a heart condition, 2 years ago he was in the hospital for a while. The first week we were home it was 90 degrees and the AC went out. We called them and they came right out. They got it started. We knew we needed a new one so we bought one, it would take 3-4 days to get it and install it. The workmen said we don't care what time it is day or night, you call us and we will get the old unit started. He said if it's 3 in the morning you call us and we'll be out here. It was fine after they started it, we had no problem but it was a great comfort to me to know I had someone else helping me. If you register with them that you have a medical problem, in the winter or summer if your unit goes out then you go to the top of the list. It was very kind and reassuring.

They were excellent. We have always been pleased with them. They are neat, clean, and efficient.

They gave a fair estimate, were polite, punctual, and stayed within the estimate. They had to order the parts needed. They gave an accurate time frame for arrival of parts and installed as soon as they came in. Would definitely recommend.

First of all, I have to say how pleased and excited my husband and I were when Larry Howald decided to start his own family business. The level of service when dealing with a local family business verses a national corporate environment has been such a positive change. Our last heating and air conditioning company didn't contact us when it was time for maintenance. We had to remember to contact them and they didn't always call us back after we left messages. With Howald Heating and Air Conditioning, you call and talk to the people in charge, they remember you, and they handle everything with personal care.We purchased a 2 year Comfort Fit Maintenance Agreement and they contacted us when it was time to do the annual maintenance on our furnace. Matt Holten, our technician, was great. The office called me and said he was available a little earlier than they had expected and I could have him come over earlier, whatever worked for me. When he arrived he was friendly, polite, professional, and worked very efficiently. He explained everything to me when he was finished and I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me any "extras" - filters, etc. which I have felt with other companies.We know if we ever have a problem in the future with our furnace or air conditioner all we have to do is pick up the phone and Larry Howald's team will take care of us. Larry Howald has been servicing our furnace since we bought it from him in 1991, first as Broad Ripple Heating and now as Howald Heating. Ditto our air conditioner. I have always been pleased with the quality of the work he has done for us. The equipment has been top notch, and his service personnel are always prompt, courteous and professional.

Taylor from the office called to tell me Rich was on the way. He had been here before with his previous company, so knew my Lennox system. Such a thorough check up, including waiting for the secondary heat to kick in with the gas furnace. Very professional, thorough and friendly, answering my many curious questions. These technicians are very experienced and know their HVAC. I definitely recommend them.

I have been frustrated with general service from what use to be called Broad Ripple Heating and Cooling My yearly contract had expired and so I decided to Check out "Howald" they were able to give me same day service...amazing! Their service man, Jay DeTar, was professional, prompt, and very good. He checked registers and air returns which had obviously not been done in YEARS! One air return was so full of dust and cat toys that it was completely clogged and took a whole two minutes to correct. I am a happy camper and will definately call them again!

I was driving by Broad Ripple Heating and Air and saw that Larry Howald is starting his own company again, I have been very pleased and comfortable with this quality service provider and p to use him in the future.

Larry is a second generation HVAC service provider and I have used Broadripple Heating & Air for years. Since he sold his company and lost control of much of the day to day operations things have changed, and not for the better. I drove by Larry's Broadripple building over the weekend and noticed a name change announcing that he is starting over as owner / operator of Larry Howald's Heating & Air Conditioning. I was pleased to see this as I know Larry has a strong commitment to quality workmanship and providing outstanding customer service. Larry will open for business September 1st and just in time as my furnace & air conditioner are on their last legs. We plan on sticking with Larry and using Larry Howald's Heating & Air Conditioning for service and upcoming replacements.
