Great. Michael arrived on time and patiently removed the 37+ year old toilet and installed the new toilet. Michael was very patient in removing the toilet so as not to damage the flooring - he did a great job. He had come previously to identify the source of a leak we were having (this toilet) and is very knowledgeable on tracing leaks. He also gave an estimate at that time. We were very pleased with this install. Michael was very pleasant and very informative on causes of plumbing issues. Another positive is the 2nd task discount that Howald offers. He installed the new toilet the same day he installed a new sump pump (separate review).

Austin did a great job to get the repair done quickly. Needed a new cartridge on the Moen faucet but the handle broke too - I live near an Economy Plumbing and Austin was able to get the handle replacement. I'm so happy with how everything turned out. Will definitely use again!

Plumber Mike make quick, easy work out of it and gave us some great advice on how to handle some of our own maintenance on these old pipes. We live in an older Broad Ripple house and have had a hard time finding/keeping good plumbers who know how to handle the ins and outs of these tricky old houses. That just happens to be Mike's specialty at Howald. Pricing was fair, they said he would arrive between 8 and 10 (got a call at 7:45 that he was on the way and he was here by 8:15) and I specifically asked him for his card because as long as he wants to, he's our plumber. Can't recommend Howald and their team more enthusiastically.

Steve replaced a bib washer and the leak has stopped. Long term would really need a rebuild kit, but it's fine for now and I am pleased. Very knowledgeable, efficient and respectful of property. Always on time.

Howald came out and fixed the issue right away and the new water softener works great. They also recommend we consider replacing our water heater because it is leaking.

Howald performs semi annual service on my heat pump. They do a great job of reminding me about scheduled replacement of filters, UV bulbs and humidifier filters. They always show me the filters and we discuss there condition, rather than just sell me filters. If the filters don't need to be replaced they tell me.

I have used them for 20 years. Their pricing is very reasonable. They are knowledgeable and I would recommend them to anyone.

They sent out a plumber named Steve Kessler. He was very professional and friendly. After trying to auger the toilet and failing, he removed the toilet from the floor. After failing again to auger the toilet from its drain outlet he declared the toilet as unusable and said we needed a new toilet. We went to the store and bought one. He installed it very well and we are completely satisfied.

I choose this company not only because of their good reviews but for the fact they are responsive to their reviews, which shows me they care. You may not know this company name but it is the same family and employees who ran Broad Ripple Heating and Cooling for years. With their experience our experience was first class! First off, they gave us our time frame, same day service, then even called to see if we were available earlier. We were not, but told them we could get away from work in about 2 hours and they called us again to meet at that time...earlier than the original estimated time. Excellent communication from dispatch! Our technician was Kevin and he displayed the utmost in professionalism and quickly found the problem to be a bad capacitor. He showed the bad part and why it was bad and showed the new part, explaining the better quality of the new one and its advantages, all in understandable terms. He even cleaned out many cottonwood seeds out of the unit after the repair to make it run more efficiently. Got the Angie's list discount automatically and even guided us to a coupon we would not have known about otherwise. I simply cannot say how much we appreciated the attention to detail and the obvious attention to a stellar customer experience this company strives to maintain! I will refer them whenever the subject of a HVAC or plumbing company comes up!

It took a week for the week for the work to be completed, from talking to them to the install. The workers were fantastic.

I found this provider on Angie's List. Mike was VERY professional, friendly, and competent. Our unit is about 20 years old . He had answered many questions my wife had about the unit as far as when to replace it, recommended unit compared to the size of our home, etc. He was very informative and knowledgeable as to what we would need to buy when replacing and when we should replace. I really appreciated the fact that he didn't push a sale. He seemed to be very honest with us. We will more than likely need to replace the until soon, but not right away. Would definitely use them again in the future. Thanks for coming so quickly!

It went great! Howald was actually the second HVAC company I contacted about this, but I wish they had been the first. The other company came out and charged me a service call to re-confirm what I had already diagnosed and explained to them. Then they went on to quote me over $1200 on the blower motor replacement! I was able to explain the issue and provide the model/serial number over the phone to Ed, who quoted me a much lower price, and then applied the 10% Angie's List discount on top of that. It ended up being over $400 less than the other guys. Awesome! The service techs who came out, Larry and Kevin, were top-notch professionals and even made sure to wear boot-covers in my home. They worked fast and had my AC unit back up and running in no time. I would definitely recommend Howald for anyone in Indy or the surrounding areas needing HVAC work. These guys are the best.
