Howald Heating Air Conditioning and Plumbing

Repair went well. The repair was initiated a week after our fall inspection. Parts were ordered at that time and were in the vendor's hands within 2 days, with the repair appointment made as early as my schedule allowed.

The technician came and took the unit apart and said there were no holes in it but it was a bit rusty. It did save us from having to purchase a new furnace now. He didn't even charge us for that.

I called them, and while they could not send someone out, I spoke with someone over the phone for awhile, and he was very patient, and I was able to fix it myself! I was so happy! He was the best.

Excellent service from start to finish. They also followed up after the service to ensure I was happy and everything was working properly.

I came home late in the evening and it was extremely warm in the house. The temperatures out side that day were in the 90,s. My air conditioning was not working. The first thing that next morning I called Howald Heating and Air Conditioning because I have a service contract with them. They came out within a few hours that same day and fixed the A/C unit. A capictor had gone out and the they identified the proplem very quickly. All of the staff from the telephone to the service tech were very friendly and helpfull. They told me that even if I had called them the previous night at 11:00pm they would have come out and made repairs that night at no extra charge because I had an annual service contract. I will continue to do business with them.

Water had been leaking on the floor from the handler when the AC ran. I called Howald at the recommendation of another contractror. They sent a technician out within a few days. He was on-time. Turns out there was no filter rack to hold the air filter in place for 10+ years. So, all that dirt, dust, etc coated the coil and the condensation just dripped all over the place. Brad diagnosed the problem, cleaned the coil, and wrapped a pipe to minimize condensation. He came back about a week later with an air filter rack and installed that. Also added some water to the geothermal loop.

OUr air conditioner was not working. After contacting Howald, they explained the process of service call and charges. WHen the service team came out, it was apparent that my antique (1975 vintage) air conditioner was dead. Since I was home that day, they quickly contacted an individual that could come and give me an estimate. The individual providing this service was prompt, straight forward and did not try to oversell the unit. The installation team arrived when they were scheduled two days later, were professional, protected carpets and were conscientious about not tracking dirt into the house. They had to re-pipe and fix holes in brick that were pre-existing. The entire experience was pleasant, professional and the individuals I dealt with were very friendly and communicative. Every step of the process was well explained and there were no hidden surprises. I would recommend Howald to anyone who needed this type of service.

Response time was amazing. Seemed pricey for how easy the access was and how short the replacement needed to be. I think we may price some things out again before we call, but the professionalism, punctuality, and quality were outstanding.

The technicians arrived on time, completed the job in a surprisingly short amount of time, were polite, punctual, and efficient. There was a repaired area at the back of the house where a pipe had been removed that wasn't repaired to our satisfaction, and they returned, repaired it again, sent a supervisor to check with our approval, and were very competent.

I called Howald on Friday morning because I had a hissing noise. They said they could not come until the end of the day. However, Ed Kittle, Operations Manager, called me about a half hour later because he was concerned about the hissing noise. He told me he would be right out. He came and determined there was a water leak and there was coming up between the board of my hardwood floor. He immediately turned off the water. He rearranged their schedule and had Mike Grant come to my home to fix the leak. Unfortunately, when Mike arrived he felt the leak was most likely in my concrete slab. Ed called a company to come and scan my concrete floors to find the location of the leak. Ed also called a restoration company on my behalf because there was damage to my floors and walls. Once the thermal imaging company found the location of the leak Mike fixed the leak after having to break up my concrete floor. He then repaired the concrete floor. Ed Kittle went above and beyond. He came in the beginning and determined there was leak. He returned when Mike arrived the first time. He came back a third time to meet the thermal imaging company. Then again when Mike actually was able to repair the leak. Mike Grant, the repairman, was excellent. He was very helpful and conscientious.

At the time they came out while working on another project the tolilet was not leaking. We stated don't worry about it and to let it go for now. The technicians kept messing with it until it was a definite problem. We finally decided to turn off the water all together to that toilet and have someone else fix it.

They're professional even on the phone, and they're very responsive. They give you a time frame, and they stick to it. Also, they give you a fair quote, and they fix the quote. They communicate with you throughout the entire process. They clean up after themselves. Actually, when the plumber did our ejection pump, he cleaned up my closet. They seem very honest and very fair. They wanted to give you the best option.

It went very well. I noticed the AC working long hours for just a little cooling and called them. We are on a Comfort Fit plan and Adam came out on a Sunday and we had no overtime charge. The coil was all frozen up so he came out again the next day after it was thawed, did the diagnostic and repair. Fixed right and nice and cool the first time. Adam is a very knowledgeable second generation HVAC tech, and his dad still works at Howald Heating and Cooling. I strongly recommend this company for honest repairs, fair prices and really experienced people.

Arrived on time and completed the job within a day. Extremely professional with supervisor follow-up Couresty was noted as we kept brtiefed on what procedes were happening through out the process. Put in right and no returns.

Howald's technician did a routine service of my furnace, cleaning and testing it. I purchased a service contract that included a spring cleaning and check of my air conditioner. The technicians were prompt, informative, and efficient. I paid with credit card. I have used this company through its different name changes since I like to use local companies.

Had some problems with our A/C and they really went the extra mile to resolve and provide a fair solution that I am pleased with. Would definitely recommend !!

My air conditioner seemed to be working just fine, and the serviceman confirmed that. Unlike other companies I have used in the past, the service call cost me nothing since I have a service agreement. Every time my last company would call to schedule my "free" service, it always ended up costing me money even though I had a service agreement with that company, too. I love the fine service the Howald Company gives.

The first time they came out things didn't go quite right, the second time they had to reorder the parts and the third time out the unit is wokring perfectly. It is running better than it has in years.

Howald called each morning to tell us when the technichans were in route to our home. The service men used runners throughout the house to minimize damage to the floors. Howald's technicans explained everything they would be doing and they completed the job with-in the targeted timeline. I would recomend them for future work.

Both of the visits were very informative and productive. I was curious to learn more about my recently purchased homes heating and cooling system. Both technicians allowed me to stand with them and ask questions about any and all services performed. My resent experience with the company was with the A/C technician "Bill" that came out for my spring tune-up. He was very professional and informative. Bill clued me in on the condition of my unit and made suggestions when I asked questions about maintenance. Bill did a great job and I will definitely use this company in the future when needed.
