My conscience requires that I warn you - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Construction contract signed May 2020 and final punchlist on the house was May 2023. 3 YEARS to build a house. Kept extending the finish date for over a year. Insisted on things like appliances purchased on the from end, which means by the time the house was useable, the appliances were already 3 years old. Did not have the best interest of the owner AT ALL. Imagine, a multimillion dollar house with a 6' crawl space that could have been a full basement, and insisting on putting a ladder, not stairs down to that, a bedroom without a closet, no built-ins included, a design with the butlers pantry on the opposite end of the kitchen from the dining room, the best profile of the front of the house on the opposite side of where you drive up and see, the rear master bedroom not connecting to the main porch/pool area. Finally, trying to get corrections on these and more errors, was a fight. So much money lost by the owner. So much money made from this, I call, a crime scene by this builder. There is not even remotely an understatement here. The damage they caused a good person who trusted them is beyond words. The score of "1" is about 7 million too much.

Hoss Homes originally built the home we purchased in 2007. Last winter we discovered the front 2-story wall of our home had separated from the rest of the structure and was in serious danger of falling away from the house. The foundation had failed and was in the process of collapse. We even secured the services of and paid for a Forensic Foundation Structural Evaluation, which ultimately confirmed Hoss failed to construct our home in accordance to the building codes then in effect. In fact Code Enforcement for Indianapolis, IN, informed us that had we not taken immediate corrective action to mitigate and restore the integrity of our home's foundation, they would have tagged the house and we would have been forced to move. Our home was no longer safe. Despite numerous attempts to seek help in rectifying the very negligently expensive and egregious damage we have suffered, all we have received from Hoss has been silence. When we referenced Hoss' online presence it was very curious that the following statements are prominently posted thru out his website. Hoss Homes unequivocally proclaims their expertise, talent and belief that "presence on the job and attention to detail is a critical aspect of home construction?. It goes on to state, "Thirty five years later we still find Steve on projects scrutinizing details and directing his workforce to achieve the highest quality. Experience has taught Steve to leave ?nothing to chance? when it comes to construction.? Below are Hoss Homes' published personal & business convictions and standards: Hoss Philosophy Standing behind our work year after year. Hoss Homes is known for our quality work. This is because we know that quality means more than having things done right the day you move in, it is having things done right for years to come. Our Quality is shown through engineering to the application, not just to code. We apply products where it is best for the home, not just where it is required. We also use the methods and materials that have been proven to last. This commitment to quality is further defined with our adhesion to the ?Quality Assurance Building Standards? established by the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis. Unfortunately Hoss Homes' words turned out to be hollow rhetoric. Their "reassuring words" were promises they never had any intention of honoring. We were left with the sizable expense to correct what Hoss did not do then and so far will not do now. If you are in search of a quality home builder who stands behind what they claim, run, do not walk away from considering Hoss Homes. There are too many quality builders in central Indiana on whom you can rely to deliver the end result you are looking for without having to wonder what disasters or other hidden surprises await you when dealing with Hoss Homes. It is our sincere hope that our experience, will at least spare someone else from trusting a home builder who should not be trusted in the first place let alone with a single penny of your money.

They we very efficient and did a great job. We were very satisfied.

Hoss did a major (whole house) remodel for us in 2002-3. They are a general contractor who use "bidding" subcontractors, though I doubt there's much opnness to the bidding process. It seems they use a small group of contractors and that's OK because the working relationship improves service and communication. The quality/professionalism are very good. Real strength is the long-term support (service after the sale). We have gootten quick attention to our needs even with some house issues they did not perform service on. They remain a great resource and it was a "no brainer" to have them back for some additional exterior work that needed done last year.

My experience with them went very well. He's a wonderful builder. Their services are great and I would use them again in the future. I would use him again in the future.
