I posted a negative review the other day in frustration....today their rep called, apologized for the confusion, and insisted on finishing the original scope at no charge. Very professional and much appreciated. If I could figure out how to take down my negative review, I would!

VERY DISAPPOINTING! Terrible communication, bait and switch, reduced the scope of what they said they were going to do and then wanted $6000 to finish what they originally promised.

One of your technicians came out to quote replacing two toilets that I provided. I told them I had a quote for $300, and they saif they would match it. The first plumber couldn’t do the job for a week, since they would match quote and come the next day I went with you. The next day came, and the plumber never showed up, sent a message to me at 10, 12, and 2pm they were delayed. I called at 5pm was told he would come the next day. He came the next day with an attitude and quoted $1,000 for the job. Told him I had a quote for $300, he said no way he could match that. He offered to email the quote, told him not to bother. The original plumber came today and installed the toilets for the quoted price.

Great! On time, personable, delivered what they promised.

Great! Really nice and friendly guy. Work completed when stated. Hope Plumbing gave all its customers a red rose. It was Valentine’s Day.

It went excellently! I was contacted immediately after putting in a request, the communication throughout the whole process was stellar, and the technician was friendly, informative, and did excellent work. We got a job well done at a fair and reasonable price.

Tyler M came out twice to evaluate the leaky outdoor spigot and noted an old "scab" with the pipe inside my rental. I had contacted my landlord about this spigot, and he was very quick to address this issue. Tyler is courteous, respectful, and very knowledgeable. He explained everything about the repair. Excellent interaction with him and Hope Plumbing. I have used Hope in the past when I owned a home and at times they can be more expensive but they address older homes very well.

Hope plumbing is such a wonderful company. I hope they are here for generations to come! The customer service employees are super helpful. Kayla in particular. She was caring and addressed every concern I had. They come out in a timely manner, fixed the issue that I had and now everything is working beautifully!!! THANK YOU!!!!! Woohoo to no more leaks!!!

Everything was great. They took the time to go through all the plumbing and make sure there were no issues before swapping out the water heater I provided and even came back to do warranty work with no problem.

Hope Plumbing continues to trespass and place flyers on door. I have a no trespassing sign by front door and try to do everything to discourage criminal activity. Having a sign hanging on the door clearly advertises no one is home. After the last time, I called and spoke with Hope and was told all of their people are trained not to come on properties with signs and they would not leave the hangers again. Today they left the hanger again. I stopped the person and asked if she was trained and the answer was no. I once again called Hope and was told the exact nonsense as last time. They are a disrespectful company.

We signed up for their service for which we were charged a monthly fee. The service gas us service calls for free. I needed a garbage disposal remounted under the kitchen sink. The garbage disposal was already in place. it just needed to be remounted under the sink using the existing hardware. Hope plumbing came an performed the work in about 10-15 minutes. The only tool required was a screwdriver. For this service, I was charged $312.00. Outrageous. $1248/hr.

This is my 2nd time using Hope Plumbing. The first was an okay experience. They came out to hook up a gas line to my Washer/Dryer combo. I even let them put a sign in my front yard.

But this most recent experience has not been so pleasant. I believe my most recent experience with Hope Plumbing to be either lazy or uneducated, I’m not sure which. I called them out to look at my tankless water heater that was giving an error code. I agreed (at the time) to pay the hefty $99 service fee. I told them a 30 min window when I would not be available. Guess when the technician showed up? Two minutes before that 30 minute window. What even is the point of having scheduling blocks? 

Since I was unable to monitor the troubleshooting and work done I have very good reason to believe that the bare minimum was done to diagnose the error code problem for reasons I’ll mention later. Rich gave me 3 quotes. 1) Flush the tankless water heater ($300) 2) Repair this current water heater which would include a $300 call to Rheem/Richmond technical support that Hope Plumbing passes the cost along to me, the customer. 3) A completely new system for $7,000.

But don’t worry, I had to hear about their member program 4 times. Where you set up monthly payments from your bank routing number. No thanks. After I told Rich I’d think about the 3 quotes, I call Rheem/Richmond’s customer support line for tankless water heaters (for free). The lady was very nice and sent the troubleshooting guide for my model of water heater that included my error code. That’s when I realized that Rich did not know or did not follow the troubleshooting for this error code laid out by Rheem. Lazy? Or uneducated? 

I called back to Hope to first confirm that I did have a scheduling block set for 10:30. They confirmed I did. I told them Rich showed up right at my scheduling block. They apologized. I asked what was done to diagnose my error code. Carrie with Hope said that she trusts Rich’s diagnosis. Based on what? Not the troubleshooting guide by Rheem. She said she would schedule a 2nd technician to come out and take a look at no additional cost. The technician texted that he was 30 mins away at 8:52 AM. That would leave only 30 minutes for diagnosis before another scheduling block. Unacceptable. 

 I immediately call up Carrie and tell her I was maybe wrongly under the impression that the tech would be here earlier. I suggest we go our separate ways and refund my $99 service fee from the day prior. Carrie transfers me to Hope and she refunds my service fee. 

I’ve completely lost trust in this plumber and business. Many other reviews here state how Hope is pricier than its competitors. If you’re going to be more expensive… you’d better be an expert in your field and give much better service than I received. Look elsewhere.

Ben was very personable and professional. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Ben made sure the whole ordeal was handled in a timely manner.

Terrible, Hope came out finally, there guy had no supplies, didn't know anything about jet pumps, left to get two small heaters, came back set them up, charged $647.00, said water should unfreeze in a hour, it didn't, we told them, a week later they returned and still couldn't fix the problem, we called another plumber and were fixed in a hour. Hope Plumbing is a joke. They do not have knowledge to work on jet pumps. The pump just needed cleaned just as I told them.

- Good service. - Competitive (but still expensive) pricing. - Clean install & met their timelines. Respected my home and surroundings during the install.

Hope Plumbing came out on Wednesday for a toilet repair. We believed the toilet to be leaking from the tank bolts, so Domenic replaced the tank bolts and also (3) valves within the bathroom, installed a Delta faucet and installed a new flapper in our other bathroom toilet. After testing the repair repeatedly, Domenic left for the day. We discovered yet another leak right after he left our house, and we contacted Hope Plumbing who put us in contact with Domenic. He was not very far down the road and was gracious enough to turn around and help with this new problem. Upon inspection of the toilet, we decided it could not be fixed (a small crack in the front of the bowl) , so he arranged to have a new toilet installed the next day. He came back the next morning with a new toilet, took the old toilet away, and the installation went very smooth and quick. We will hire Hope Plumbing for our future repairs!

We recently had a leak in our crawlspace that did extensive damage to our home. Hope Plumbing not only was quick to arrive and stop the leak so we could restore water to the rest of our home but they also recommended a great restoration company to prevent further mold growth and ensure our home was clean and safe. Over the multi week project, Hope Plumbing was super accommodating as they worked alongside the restoration team, general contractors and the granite company. They also discovered an issue with our sump pump - something completely unrelated to what they had come for, but ultimately saved us from a more significant damage. We’re always quick to recommend them and they’ll always be our preferred plumber!

From start to finish, everything was done quickly and professionally.

I hired Hope Plumming to replace my sewer line, after my old clay sewer line collapsed. It happened 2 days before Christmas, and Hope, was super responsive and helpful to get the job done, as there were some challenges, due to winter with extenuating weather circumstances. They went above and beyond helping to keep my neighbors updated as my line required use of a mutually shared alley. Since then they have also installed a new water heater and water softener. As a repeat customer I would definitely recommend the team at Hope!

My issue is: Should this job really have cost $935.99 ? There was a 8.75' piece of 1" pipe removed coming from the main to the split where the rust was. There were (2) 3' 1/2" pieces of pipe removed running from the "T" There was a 8.75' piece of 1" plastic pipe replaced from the main to the "T" There were (2) 3' pieces of 1/2" plastic from the T to the other pipes. There was an elbow coupling and extension coupling run to the Hot Water heater. (due to rusty coupling) The total time of actual "labor" for the install was approximately 3 hours. Total ripoff - should have been half that amount maximum.

It did not go well. Initially, the sink wouldn't drain at all, but they were able to get the water moving on June 7. They advised that twice a day I pour boiling water and Dawn soap down the drain to further clear things out. I did this once and then I missed the next couple days. The technician came back out June 18 and again advised I keep up with the water and Dawn soap fix. I have since done this dutifully since June 18. This has made things worse. The sink backups even more now. Nothing has gone the drain, but water, coffee, and other innocuous liquids since they have been out. I've contacted them twice, June 21 and June 22 where they have stated the QA person would be in touch that day or the next. I still haven't heard from anyone and have resorted to contacting a different company that can hopefully fix my drain problem. I've used them a number of times in the past and things have been great, but it's no longer the service it used to be. I can't recommend them based on the results or customer service.

Tech tested water pressure at house and offered a same day instation of a water pressure booster for the entire house basically doubling our water pressure. Offered financing with no interest.

Went well. Not a bargain, but came the next day and did the work successfully.
