Hoosier Wildlife Control

Saw this service listed on Angie's List with good reviews. Called and left a message explaining who I was, where I lived, and my animal problem. Service area map on Yelp shows that I am within this business' service area. Did not receive a call back. I waited a day, then went thru the Angie's List website requesting a quote. Never received a return call.

Eric did a wonderful job removing 5 raccoons from our property. He is very knowledgeable in his profession. We would recommend him highly.

Still working on getting squirrels out.

It went well though it took a while to trap and remove all of them

It went extremely well, a raccoon was caught. When I called him he provided me a time that he would be out that very afternoon. He set two live cage traps with bait in front and behind the shed where it appeared the animal was entering. He was very responsive to my questions and reminded me to check the trap early the next morning. I set him a text and he immediately came out an took the raccoon and traps away.

Brian inspected my attic and gutters. The Squirrel didn't appear to be getting inside the attic. And Brian set a trap and caught the Squirrel in about 2 hours. They were prompt, professional and responsive to my texts.

Great. Caught several raccoons entering and exiting the attic. Put cage over fan where they were entering to stop future problems.

They were very responsive and so helpful. This was a lot as it took us quite awhile to finally catch all the critters.

Brian came out the day after I called and found the entry spot immediately. Set the trap and the very next day he had the critter to take away. He re-set the trap and left it for several days, coming by on his rounds to check it. No other raccoons or squirrels showed up. Today he removed the trap and covered the entry with metal so it could not be chewed through. He then checked my attic to see if I needed any clean up work from the raccoon's visiting. None was needed, so we were finished. Eric (the company owner who I first spoke with) and Brian the man who came on site were both very, very pleasant and helpful. I rate Brian's service AAA. He was just the greatest! I had called a couple other companies that I got from Angie's List who did not respond to my calls or who said they could not come out. I am so glad they did, for it put me in touch with Hoosier Wildlife Control -- the best fit for my needs. I recommend HWC without any reservations. Prices were stated upfront and were very reasonable for the peace of mind I now have: $165 for inspection; $65 for each animal trapped and removed; $125 for securing the entry location. No add -ons or"surprises" were added. Brian came by at least 5 times over a period of two weeks to climb up on the roof and inspect the trap. Rest assured you'll be glad you called HWC if you have the need.

Eric called to let me know he was on the way, and arrived a few minutes early. He did an inspection of the outside of my house, including walking the roof. He did not find any evidence of entry of any larger animals- everything looked nice and tight. He than went up into the attic and found evidence of mice. He spread out some poison pellets up there, and said the mice would find them, go outside looking for water and die outside. He told me to put some bait boxes along the walls inside the garage that would take care of the mice as they entered. He advised me that the best thing for us to do was get rid of our bird feeders that are an attraction for all kinds of different critters. Eric provided a wealth of information, and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him!

Cory McClung , owner, came on time for my home inspection. He went up in the attic to check it out. There was no visible bats at that time. His assistant did a outside inspection and found areas of entry. They came back a few days later and sealed up the house and garage leaving one opening, They mounted a bat excluder at the opening. This allows bats to leave, but not enter. After 10 days, they returned and removed the excluder. Really great company to work with. A little expensive, but this service usually is. I feel like they did a great job and stand behind their service. I would never call anyone else!

He was no good. He first came out in September and because it was so late, he had to come back in the spring. He came back in May. He said the bats were in the attic over the winter and had left droppings and everything, so they were going to have to use hazmat suits and everything to take out the insulation and all that kind of stuff. He estimated it at $5000. Actually, he did put the cone up, but the cone fell out. For the cone and seal up it was $420. I just didn't feel comfortable after that kind of estimate. So I got another guy to come out and he took a look upstairs. He said, "It's just a few droppings where the bats came in," and he charged me $250 and that was it. He came out with a vacuum and cleaned up and that was it.

Eric was very responsive to initial request and able to setup traps to capture the critters. Able to text when caught for quick removal. Provided quotes for repairs and completed in a timely manner.

Eric was able to come out right away (weather pending.) He located the entry point the animals were using and set up traps. We caught a squirrel a few hours after he set the trap! Whenever there was an animal captured, I called and he came to remove it. He and his partner periodically came out to check as well. After we felt the animals entering were all gone, they put tape over the opening to see if anything else was entering, but not getting trapped. After a week, they felt satisfied no other critters were coming and going so repaired the entry hole. He investigated inside the attic at the completion of the job to look for chewed wiring. Eric was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable.

Very pleasant. Eric was friendly and very knowledgeable about his business. He was quick and efficient. Thumbs up.

Eric was very quick to respond to my phone call, answer any concerns I had, then get the trap set the next morning. He was also quick to come get the trap once the raccoon was caught. As well, he set an additional trap for almost another week to make sure we only had one c***, which I thought was going above and beyond. Would highly recommend.

Placed 7 traps in house but out of reach of dogs.

Eric came out to my house to check for animals in my attic. I would guess that most providers would check the attic then leave. Eric went around our entire home with me and showed me potential entry points for what we found to be mice. He also went in my attic and went through the whole house to show possible entry spots and treatment points. His knowledge was impressive and his kindness, helpfulness and professional were awesome. I was very pleasantly surprised by the depth of knowledge and tips that Eric shared with me. I would highly recommend him and his company to anyone who has pest questions / problems.

Very well. On time, professional and provided good recommendations. Eric responded right away to my call. We had a squirrel that had gotten into the fireplace and died. We had dealt with the smell over the holiday weekend and Eric was very quick to come out that day on Tuesday to get rid of it for us. He was very helpful in telling me what we needed to do in regards to fixing the cap and getting a chimney sweep to inspect and clean so that we could eventually light a fire to completely get rid of the smell. If something happens again at our house with needing critter removal, we will for sure call Eric again.

They were very thorough and very easy to work with.

Set up traps and successfully caught both a groundhog and a raccoon who had gotten into our house under the back porch. Service was great and professional. Would highly recommend!

I had been hearing noises under my main steps and suspected something was living there. I called Eric who was able to come early the next day. He determined it was a racoon getting in and suspected there was a nest of babies that I was hearing. He applied some male scent to encourage them to leave and suggested I wait a few days (otherwise we'd have to break into the area to get them). Fortunately, they left and he set a trap just in case (he also caught a pesky groundhog for me that would get under the porch). So I'm critter free thanks to Eric! I found him to be very timely in his work and very good. Hopefully I won't need his help again, but if I do, he's the one I'll call.

He was prompt returning my call and explained the service he would provide and the price. ($165 to come out, evaluate, and set traps, and $65 per squirrel), this was considerably less than another company had quoted. He came out the next day and inspected and set up, he returned each day until the matter was resolved . Them he sealed the entry point. He was friendly, courteous, and professional.

I contacted provider after hearing noises inside wall of my condo, thinking it was a squirrel or raccoon. He promptly came out the very next day and inspected the outside of my home and roof and found no evidence of larger animals and suspected it was mice. He came out a couple of days later and inspected the attic for evidence. He put out poison blocks in the attic and garage to control the mice issue. He also showed me a couple of areas to watch for in the future.

I was referred to him by another company and put in a request for info on his website. He called me the next day at 7:30am and told him I had a bird problem. He told me he would arrive after 3:30 that following Monday. He never showed up so at 6:30 I called and left a voice mail asking if there was a problem. I left him another voice mail on Wednesday and I got no response from him. He picked up when my friend called him and had no excuse why he didn't call me or why he didn't show up. So I texted him asking what was going on and he responded right away asking me when I was available. I gave him my available hours and we set up another time on the following Monday for him to come out and do the work. I found out he arrived at noon that day, which my daughter just happened to be home then though this was not the time we discussed because I was still at work. He came over and put a bird cone in the nest so the birds wouldn't be able to return near our house. He came back and checked the nest and texted me to ask if the cone was at our house. Erik wanted to know if he should patch the hole up but the painter had already patched it up. We waited two days to respond back to him and he came out to the house to find the cone when I wasn't home and couldn't find it so he left a bill for 225.00 on my front door. Clearly Erik did not get a ladder to even look for the cone because it was in the gutter that was right next to the nest and you could clearly see it if you had looked. I found 4 more numbers to try and contact him and they were all either disconnected or the voice mails were full. I then called him with another phone number he wouldn't recognize and he answered...which means he blocked my number from his phone calls. I finally got him to answer the phone and he argued with me telling me that he had told me beforehand how much it was going to be. He said, “If you don’t pay me I have ways of dealing with people like you”. I did tell him we would send him the cone and send him a check even though he overcharged me and only performed 30 minutes of work.
