Marc did a fantastic job. Was very punctual, and finished on time. Marc also did the job for the price quoted.

Everything went smoothly. He handled a very difficult configuration. He hung cabinets, laid countertops, paint, and back splash. He was able to level the countertops even though the floors were uneven. It went great.

I had to call twice to get to speak to Marc because my first phone call and message was not returned. He showed up on time to our appointment and spent at least 30 minutes walking around my house. He sounded quite knowledgeable and experienced overall and noted a few items that he typically does not work on. One week after he committed to providing a quote, he said that he probably sent it to my email address, but that his email system "date stamp" does not work so I should check for old emails. He said he would resubmit it in 1-2 days. I have yet to receive a quote from him.

Terrible service. We made an appointment for Marc to come out to inspect our home over a month and half ago. We wanted an estimate of repairs. The first appointment he missed and didn't call us to let us know he wouldn't be at the appointment. My husband had arranged his schedule to be home to meet with him. We called and left a message for Marc asking if he was coming and he responded to us the next day. He said he forgot he had a doctor appointment. We reluctantly agreed to schedule anothe appt. to meet with him. Marc did inspect our house on the second appt. However, he has never provided us an esimate for repairs even after we called and asked for the repair estimate. He said he e-mailed but it never did get to our e-mail address. My husband confirmed the e-mail addresses with Marc and he said he would resend. We even e-mailed him just recently at www.hoosierhandyman website and again requested the repair estimate. To date we have never received the estimate.

We never heard from him again. We never received an estimate or any phone call.

Overall he was a nice guy, and I might have actually hired him, but when I don't know how much it will cost I am not going to hire him.

Marc did a great job on a few repairs around the house and his fees were very reasonable.

The appointment was made at 8:00a.m. on Monday morning--at HIS convenience. He did NOT show OR call.

Marc did an excellent job with everything. We have an old hardwood floor that had worn and cracked. The replacement also involved cutting out and leveling some of the sub-flooring. Marc went out of his way to go to specialty lumber center to get wood that matched our flooring. After I saw his finished floor work, I asked him about putting a storm door that I had been putting off. He offered to do it two days later. The door looks professionally installed, better than I could have ever done.

We were very pleased with his work. He did some painting, some drywall work, some window work, and some tiling for us. I thought his price was fair. I would certainly use him in the future.

They were able to repair the window promptly.

Initially had called for installing a cat door, fixing a leaking faucet, and changing a solar panel. Gave an estimate before coming out. After arrival, I added additional services including caulking and putting up blinds. He did not have the materials to fix our faucet. He only had parts for either hot water side or cold water side and said he had to guess which one had the leak. Said to call if it was still leaking and he would come back and fix it if necessary. Took out the old solar panel and said he didn't bring the right solar panel to replace it and first asked us if we could do it ourselves (strange, considering that was what we called him out for). Then when I told him we could not do this ouselves he said he would be back to replace it with the right solar panel. We called him at least 5 times and he never called us back. 2 months later our faucet is still leaking and we have a hole in our light outside where he removed the solar panel and never came back to replace it. He also charged us an exorbitant amount for the couple extra services we had him do. I asked him how much it would be before he did them and he basically said not much. I should have made him give an estimate before completing the additional work. Anyway, to make a long story short, if you want to get ripped off this is your guy...

He was local, he had a very reasonable price and he did excellent work. My experience with him was very good. I would use him in the future, if necessary.

Marc was meticulous in preparing the walls for painting and during the painting. Clean-up was excellent. He went above and beyond our expectations. We are looking forward to working with him again. We did have a week that we didn't get a response when he was out-of-town.

Made an appointment with Mr. Devine for a walk-though to get a quote for services. He did not show up for our scheduled appointment and never called to cancel or apologize for missing.

Marc is incredibly professional, a good communicator, and completed the jobs in a timely fashion. We will be calling him again in the near future for additional projects!

He came out to give me an estimate the following day. I then purchased lumber and painted them so that I'd be ready to go when he came out later that week. When Marc took off the header, he found that problem was caused by (another company's installation in 11/06) of vinyl siding. The end piece of the siding just allowed all water to pool. Based on his recommendations--he gave me the "quick fix" option and the "correct it forever" option. I opted for the latter. I told him that I would go to store and pick up the new materials if he told me what to buy (so that he wouldn't have to spend his time). When I came back he corrected the siding company's mess, continued on with relacing header (which necessitated also remove/reinstall of garage door weather strip pieces), the damaged "bird house" trim, re-nailed the attic louvers back in (also mess left from siding company) and caulked. I was going to paint after caulk dried. Marc was very professional and easy to communicate with. I appreciated his ability to diagnose the problem and give me a couple of options to correct it. He even re-nailed the house numbers--straight!. As President of our Homeowner Association, owners ask me all the time for recommendations. I have no reservations in recommending Marc Devine! Everything was wonderful. We tried for an entire day to get a door to hang correctly. It was plumb, it was level, but it still wouldn't go. Mark came in and within 5 minutes the door was swinging perfectly. He knew exactly what to do and he did it. He is efficient, he is friendly, and he is just amazing. I have the highest respect for what he can do and how he can accomplish it. I was very happy with his work and would absolutely use him again.

Marc was great. He came right out to do an estimate and was willing to work with us on price since we had a limited budget as we're trying to sell our house. I was gone during the work he performed and it was so great to come back to our house and see the work he did. Everything looks and works perfectly. Marc is truly a professional and knows how to do just about everything you could need done around your house. I was hesitant to hire a handyman at first because i thought we should be able to do the work ourselves, but i've changed my mind after having this done.

Repaired ceiling damage from leak caused by faulty bathroom vent. Replaced vent louver as well. An added bonus, he found a wasp's nest in the old one, so he bombed it and cleaned it out too! Prompt, efficient, friendly, tolerant of badly behaving dogs. Very trustworthy and will use him again!

I sent Marc an email with tile information. He responded same day on a weekend. We accepted his estimate. He showed up on time, was very polite and professional. The different stages of work lasted two days. When he was away from our house, he always called and kept us posted as to what was going on. We are very pleased with the results.

It was excellent. He has an eye for detail, and he is very careful and meticulous. The cleanup and organization while he is working is excellent. I never knew he was there.
