Hood Sealcoating

Terrific. They were doing work in our neighborhood already. I called and Bill and he was very responsive. They were able to do it the next day. Looked great, and they did a great job with the edging. I would definitely use them again.

The job went well. Out of the four estimates I received, Hood Sealcoating was the lowest. They came out within a few days after I agreed to have them do the job. They filled in cracks along the edge of the driveway that the other companies said they could not fill. The only issue was that they accidently splashed a few small drops of coating on one of my garage doors (which was unusual, because they did an excellent job of keeping the coating off of adjoining sidewalks, porch, etc.). However, a couple of days later, Bill Hood, the owner, came out and removed the drops from the garage door. After three months, the job still looks as good as the day that it was completed.

I have a very long driveway which was in really bad shape; at least two of the companies I called for quotes on sealing refused to seal it and said it required complete resurfacing at $4000 or more. Hood Sealcoating explained the problems and gave me a price for sealing only, but warned me it would not last, given the condition of the driveway. They offered an alternative repair method, using a new product that would effectively fill the cracks. I did a little research and found the product to be as they said. Weather held up the job somewhat, but they were conscientious about keeping in touch with me and did an excellent job.

We have used their service before so they called to let us know they would be in the area if we wanted to schedule an appointment. We did and then we decided to change the date-no problem. Came at the appointed date. Came home and the work was done, and looked great. I will use them again next time I need my driveway sealed.

Service was done on the appointed date and we are very happy with the job done. We have used them in the past and will use them in the future.

He was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I would never use them again or recommend them to anybody. He charged the premium and explained why he was charging it. He made a really big deal about some of the cracks not being filled in properly and when he had to come back out to my house. He said that I was too "nit picky" about making sure the cracks were filled in.

I had received a driveby estimate of $300 to perform seal coating and hot rubber crack fill. I called the number provided to verify the estimate include all labor involving crack filling as I had a lot of grass in my driveway. Mr. Hood arrived for the appointment and stated he could not do the job for the estimated cost, that the seal coating itself was underbid, and crackfilling would cost another $150. The total estimate should have been $500. I chose not to accept those terms. I feel Mr. Hood was honest with me, but am disappointed that his reality did not match his estimators.

Arrived ahead of schedule Very nice, got right to work and did a good job. The driveway looks good and he roped it off when he was finished and told us to allow for it to dry until the next afternoon. Good job for a good price. I highly recommend Mr. Hood if you need your driveway seal coated.
