Description of Work: Bought an old style hot water heater manufactured in 2014, i.e., before the new regulations went it. Unit is top of the line without any bells and whistles and a 3 year full and +9 year hardware warranty. Wanted something that would last at least 12 years. Mfg cover labor if replaced in first three years, but only the water tank if after first three years. Total warranty = 12 years; which is as good as you can buy nowadays. Mfg = Rheem. The guy at Home Depot (I think it was Bill or someone like that) did a great job of helping me pick the unit and get it to the font of the store. The warehouses don't have any of the old style anymore because HVAC and Plumbing companies bought them all - new systems can require all new exhaust, and that can be very expensive. Thanks EPA!

+ -1 moreTHE DOOR INSTALLERS ARE A SEPARATE COMPANY FROM HOME DEPOT BUT THEY ARE USED EXCLUSIVELY BY HD. TIM, WHO IS THE HEAD INSTALLER, CAME OUT QUICKLY TO VERIFY MEASUREMENTS BEFORE THE DOOR WAS ORDERED TO AVOID PROBLEMS. ONCE THE DOOR WAS IN WE WERE ABLE TO GET SCHEDULED FAIRLY QUICKLY. WHEN A MAJOR PROBLEM WAS FOUND DURING INSTALLATION TIM AND HIS ASSISTANT REARRANGED ANOTHER APPT. AND STAYED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I FEEL LIKE HE ACTED IN OUR BEST INTEREST IN DOING A MORE EXTENSIVE FIX AND ELIMINATING PROBLEMS A FEW YEARS FROM NOW. WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS. IN THE CATEGORY OF RESPONSIVENESS I PUT THAT ON HOME DEPOT BECAUSE THEY WERE SLOW IN PASSING ALONG INFORMATION. I HAD TO CALL THERE AND GO IN TO GET ANSWERS.

+ -1 moreTHE CARPET DEPARTMENT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE AT HOME DEPOT WERE GOOD TO WORK WITH. THE ESTIMATING COMPANY FOUND THAT WE NEEDED 400 SQ FT OF CARPET TO COVER OUR ROOM WHICH IS JUST A LITTLE OVER 325 SQ FT. AND NOW WE HAVE LOTS OF EXTRA CARPET. THE INSTALLERS WERE FANTASTIC. THEY WERE EXACTLY ON TIME, INCREDIBLY COURTEOUS, CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES, AND HAD THE WHOLE THING DONE IN UNDER TWO HOURS. VERY IMPRESSIVE!
Description of Work: SOLD US NEW CARPET, INSTALLED IT, AND REMOVED OUR OLD CARPET. IT WAS FOR ONE ROOM, 15 FT BY 25 FT, WITH TWO STEPS. THE CARPET INSTALLED IS A BERBER, AND WE BOUGHT THE PREMIUM PAD (THICKER AND IS WATERPROOFED ON BOTH SIDES).

+ -1 moreORDERED DOOR ON 7/20, SOMEONE WAS SUPPOSED TO COME MEASURE THE DOOR AND THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE OUT IN A WEEK. A WEEK CAME AND WENT, SO WE CALLED AND THEY SAID THEY WERE SHORT HANDED. THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE SOMEONE COME OUT THE NEXT WEEK. FINALLY ANOTHER WEEK LATER SOMEONE CAME OUT TO MEASURE. WE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH DOOR ARRIVING IN A TIMELY MANNER. FINALLY BY 8/20 THE DOOR CAME. I WAS THE ONE MAKING THE CALLS AND THEY WERE NOT VERY GOOD AT KEEPING ME INFORMED.

+ -1 moreGAVE THEM MY MOBILE AND WORK PHONE NUMBERS TO ARRANGE FOR INSTALLATION TIME, BUT THEY KEPT CALLING MY HOME NUMBER, WHICH RESULTED IN A MISSED INSTALLATION APPOINTMENT. THEY DID RESOLVE THE ISSUE BY COMING BACK LATER THAT SAME EVENING TO COMPLETE THE WORK. NOTE THAT HOME DEPOT USES SUBCONTRACTORS FOR THE INSTALLATION WORK. OTHER THAN THE COMMUNICATIONS SNAFU, THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE INSTALLATION.

THEY WEREN`T ASKED, THEY JUST DID IT. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED. THE YOUNG MAN WHO HELPED ME WAS SO WONDERFUL. HE WAS TREMENDOUSLY PROFESSIONAL. IT IS VERY RARE TO WORK WITH SOMEONE THIS OUTSTANDING AND INFORMAL.
