THEIR REPAIRMAN SHOWED UP ON TIME. HE LOOKED OVER OUR SITUATION AND EXPLAINED WHAT HE COULD DO TO HELP. HE SPENT APPROXIMATELY FOUR HOURS AND NOW OUR EXTERIOR DOORS SEAL TIGHTLY.

They did a very good job. Someone else gave me a little better price, but these guys seemed like they would do the job well. Which is what I wanted. It was a steel door between the house and the garage. They installed the frame, door, and painted it for us. They put plastic around everything to keep the dirt and cold out of the house, and they cleaned up after themselves very well.

Overall, it was pretty good. The gentleman came to my house at the scheduled time and went over everything with me. He gave me a couple of options and estimates, and I ultimately decided not to complete the project. If I was to go through with it, I definitely would consider using them.

They responded quickly to give us a quote. The glass repair person was courteous and on time for the trips he made. He had to come back after he installed the glass bacause we discovered the widow was leaking during a storm. My husband could see daylight through an edge that should have been sealed and there were other areas that needed to be sealed. The repair person fixed the problems.

He was very pleasant, and his price was almost exactly the same as the provider I will be using to do the work. I chose the other contractor because I have worked with him before.

I decided to get a new front door and checked a couple of contractors on Angie's List. Ended up with Heartwood Enterprises because they had the closest door to what I wanted. Salesman stopped by. Went over various doors and selected one. Had to put 50% down and other 50% upon satisfactory completion. They ordered the door and told me it would take 2 to 3 weeks to get it from the factory. Door arrived in a little over two weeks and they installed it within a few days. It was a one day job. All-in-all it was a satisfactory job. I had to call the installer back to correct a grinding door hinge. He shimmed a hinge and it was fine. I wished I had made arrangements for them to paint a narrow piece of shim stock instead of leaving it to me.

Terry was the contact person for the company. I got an estimate from them and I have accepted the proposal. The doors have been ordered for about 10 days ago. The doors will arrive in another 10 days. The estimate was free. I was happy with them. I was looking at two french doors off of my bedroom. I was trying to get those windows to match other windows with grids. I also wanted them to have the capability to put any blinds inside so that I did not have to hang anything over those windows. This involved a triple pane. He quoted me for the same and called me back two days later. He told me that he could not do all the three things at once. He gave me a choice of either the panes matching up the windows or windows minus the panes. I wanted to keep my windows matching. I told him that I would deal with privacy issues and asked him for a new quote. He got back to me within 12 hours. He was very apologetic that he had talked about something he thought was possible. I do not know if it is a wait issue since it involved triple panes. I think he said that since it was a 30 inch door, it was not possible. I guess that the doors were too big. I did not get a lot of estimates, but I thought he was professional and knew what he was doing. I felt like he came at a price that was lower than what I had anticipated. He told me that he was quoting me for the door. I have an odd-sized bathroom door, which has to be specially ordered. He told me that once he started the work, he may find some rotten wood underneath or something. I told him that I understood that. He also told me that he had to test for lead paint before he could proceed. So, the cost/ price could go up. He gave me a written estimate. He came out two days after I had called him and he was on time. He called me on my cellphone. He let me know what he could do and gave me options on things he could not do. I would use this company for the future.

Excellent experience! I had previously been told that I needed an entire new door jam for our sliding glasss door and screen. The Heartwood guy used a level and determined that my door jam was not the problem, but that a standard door was not quite the right size or design. They ordered a customized size for us which works great! I was also told by a competing company that our windows were so old that we would not be able to get the lift mechanisms repaired. Heartwood was able to find replacement parts and now my windows work great without having had to be replaced! Heartwood saved us a TON of money, plus did good work. What more can anyone ask for????

Good experience from estimate to installation.

The installer was prompt. The door we oredered came to the company in a timely manner.

Very good. High quality and on schedule. Closes very well. Came back to touch-up paint as promissed. Would definately have Heartwood do work again if needed.

First, most companies wouldn't even respond to my request for an estimate to replace a door. Heartwood was on the ball and came out within a few days. I was looking for something that wasn't a standard door but would look like it went with our older home. He suggested something I wasn't even aware existed - a wooden paintable sliding door. No problems with installation and a few months later when I had a problem with the door not locking properly they arrived the very next day to take a look. Issue addressed within minutes. Price was cheaper than anyone else, great quality and looks exactly like I'd hoped it would.

For the most part the repairs were good but I had asked that the match the moulding with the same design and that was not done. Also, a couple of the windows had moulding that was not repaired correctly. I was able to correct these on my own.

Prompt and professional. Chose to compete the door project. Did not do the windows project.

I?m not sure exactly how much I spent, probably $200 to $300. They actually did a very good job. They do kind of specialized work. They can repair the wood around your windows where most companies just come and replace. They actually open it up and repair it. It?s hard to find somebody that will do that kind of work because everyone wants to come and replace it. It?s real specialized work. I liked the fact that they could do it all because it?s specialized work. It?s hard to find anybody that does repairs. They didn?t replace the whole window. I was happy with what they did. I had them over only once and they didn?t do a whole lot of work. I would use their services again in the future.

I called, they came out as scheduled, completed work as requested.

They did a good job and we have not had any trouble with it.

They were willing to give me an estimate right away, depending on the kind of door. They were efficient, quick, and knowledgeable. They were also courteous. Their price was a little higher than the price I to get the job done. I had a gentleman wait on me. I had to wait a few minutes as he was on the phone. Other than that, they were quick. I will consider them for a future quote.

They were very good with the installation of the door. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

Heartwood knew what they were doing. They guy who came was very good. The guy who gave us an estimate was good too, he was not pushy. The other estimate I got, that company's price was much more than Heartwood's.

They are really professional. They worked very efficiently. We didn't have any problems at all.

Very pleasant on the phone and offered to come out the next day. The visit for the quote also went well - he was on time and seemed professional and pleasant. However, he promised to email us a quote in a couple days and 3 weeks later, we still hadn't heard anything. So I called the company and they said they would look into it, and did get an email and quote later that day, however it was missing one of our requested items and didn't have much detail about the items. When inquired about the missing item, he did respond promptly and this time was apologetic for the delay, but at this point, we were feeling a little bit uncertain about the service, and we requested further details on the project (pictures of items to be installed, time frame) and we haven't heard back since. That was almost 2 weeks ago, so we've been waiting over a month before we've even thought about starting. I hate to judge an entire company based on this limited interaction, but we were disappointed in the process and wanted to share our experience.

They did nice a job. We have used them maybe three times now.

The service was excellent. The installer cleaned-up very well and was pleasant to have in the house. Now in 2010, we have had 2 problems with the door. After not being able to lock/unlock the door when the sun was on it, they completely replaced the lock. Now the door works just excellently.

Promptly set up appointment for estimate, then multiple emails thereafter answered very slowly or not at all. Work is now being done by others who were more responsive and provided lower estimates for the same work.
